The guy paid $65 for it, wouldn't that make the official price $60?

My only complaint with the train is it seems too tall but that is the "minifigures" fault. Plus don't forget the great ignore feature everyone. I suggest EVERYONE use it if they have a problem.

I collect Hess Trucks, and The USA Proof Sets (Coins), and gardening / plant/ nature books.

Great use of those interesting corner pieces for the overhang.

It's already the year 2012!??! We have less than a week to live!!!! Serious why does it say 09.12.12. Since when did year go first? It's 12-12-09 no matter if it's the stupid American way of the European way. In no way, shape, form, is it 09.12.12.

Review: 7416 Emperor's Ship
The Green Brick Giant replied to Etzel's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I forgot all about this wonderful set! I own all of OE except this set and some little $10 one! I'm so mad at myself for never buying it, I was hoping to get it on sale like EVERY other set in the theme I bought, but sadly that never happened. This is LEGO in it's prime and I wish it sold better so Johny Thunder hasn't thrown under the bus. Of course if it did sell better I wouldn't get most of the sets for 75% off. -
You forgot, cows, pigs, polar bears, frogs, owls, bats. I really do believe we will get LEGO Zoo within 1-3 years.
-
No because it's a LEGO Train and not a real one! To me the bear looks like and Orient Expedition "monster". http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7411-1 In that case it is somewhat build-able.

I saw the son and dad one and loved it. I'd love it more if LEGO didn't rip parents off on the price of the bulk boxes the last several years.

I think the TS3 dump truck is the ugliest set we have seen so far for 2010. At first I thought it was a Duplo set until I saw the cabin roof piece that every vehicle has. Ick.

The Carrier is nice but not $65, not $60 nice and not even $50 nice.

How do you keep track of your collection?
The Green Brick Giant replied to desultor's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't. I try with Brickset, but it says I only have something like 150,000 pieces and 300ish mini figures. I counted the pieces in sets I got a few years in 2001 I think and I had 58,000 in them alone. I counted my minifigures around then too and I had close to 400. So they are off and I'm off. -
I bought my first LEGO Train in 2003. It was that ugly blue, white, and black set from 1999 I think. I hate the set. However it was $50, plus $10 for shipping and $3 for tax... BS tax... So year LEGO Trains need to make a come back to stores.
-
Same with the camel in PoP, it was wood I think. The pig tractor set is much smaller than the helicopter and limo. The pig set is most likely $30-35, maybe $40 because it's a Farm set. However if the fire Helicopter is $40, and that just comes with a little car than the blue version of it with a "big" limo will be at least $40, more likely $50.

It's so you know what direction the wind is coming from.

The Impulse sets at mine are $6-$7, so it will actually be more than the car. Stupid TRU.

Review: 7594 Woody's Round Up
The Green Brick Giant replied to Mariann Asanuma's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ummm.... Am I looking at the same set as you? This is one of the best brick built buildings LEGO has made recently that doesn't cost $150. -

502 pieces for $50 is a good price in any line and an amazing price in the Toy Story line. Very cute set. -
Small LEGO planes are always too much, it's why I never bought the awesome Mail Plane. That new piece seems completely useless to me. I really wish LEGO would make some new City faces and torsos. They make new torsos for all the other themese everyu year and City can't get a couple? Even a "new" face from a different theme, anything new. I'm sick of buying 5 different sets and they all have the same 2 minifigures.

Power Miners 2010
The Green Brick Giant replied to Brickthing's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Most of the super packs in recent years have been random City sets. I think they are kind of stupid, you don't save enough money by buying them. -
Don't be a jerk it's It's Christmas
The Green Brick Giant replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
I'm Jewish. OK not really, but still, don't be a jerk any time of the year, more so because Jesus wasn't born on Christmas. -
The Impulse sets are very nice, I wish they would have them in stores where I feel an IMPULSE TO BUY THEM!

There is always the chance someone opened the box, stole the bag for the minifigure parts, and then resealed it. I think that happened a Batman set I had, I "ordered" like 70 "replacements". I had one mistake in that (A minifigures head, Ridler?) and then ordered that as soon as I heard Batman ended.
