No.... I'm saying for over a year now LEGO said they would show the the set at this year's toy fair. I don't get why people are saying "It's rumoured to be shown", it will be shown! LEGO themselves said that last year when they annouced the concert!
-
Because the fair last three days and LEGO is still setting things up. Look at the Toy Story 3 section, nothing is up yet. I don't get this "rumor" LEGO will show the TRU winner at the Toy Fair, didn't they say we would see it at TF 2010?

The sets themselves suck, they are horribly designed for the most part. They have awesome minifigures and accessories, but wow, the same could be said about almost any set. -

I think the press release had a bit of a typo. I do not see these being released for $2, more so when the price of an Impulse set has increased to $4. -
The transforming sub is only $50, I don't think that's bad. The Shark castle is one of the nicest designs LEGO has ever made.
-
Yeah the wizard now looks black and not dark green which sucks. What also sucks is Impulse sets now cost $4! Has LEGO lost their megablocking minds?

These sets suck. Also they should come out now or the game show come out later, that is a really bad screw up on LEGOs part that I think will cost them. The hut is the worst one they have made yet, the Quinidditch thing is OK, but it's not a great idea for a set, just used to make the minifigures, which are nice. The Burrow set is OK, really packed for of stuff too. The sets are great for random parts, like the new color cat in the castle, but otherwise quite lacking in design. The hut... I can't get over how bad it is. -

If they wanted to jack the price up with the blue car they should have just made another train car. -
Well look at the Queen of England, she's 209. Also those faces make the women look more tired than anything else.
-
I somehow hate the fire station part even more now seeing it with the two corner pieces.
-
My problem with the queens are LEGO can't make a woman look old, so they never look like queens. The guy (king) looks 50-60+ years old but all the females (queens) look 35-40.

Toy Story 7597 Western Train Chase
The Green Brick Giant replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
It's an OK set, the wagons look weird, too short, the who thing seems small. Plus the second wagon from the front looks like a caboose, and the brown one with dark green windows looks nice, but not long enough. It would be a fine set if it was $60, but for $80 that's way too much. -
I forgot to add... Rex looks awesome! Amazing! Love Rex! Not buying him, but awesome looking. :)
-
No, everyone loves fractions. And yes, yes they do. My point is I would like if they mixed them all up, so I get a new red human and an older dark blue human along with Dwarfs and such.
-
The sets look horrible. $80 for a non running train? I could have gotten a working train for $90 last month. The trash set looks boring unless you need those tower pieces.
-
That's what I don't get, LEGO can't have human fractions and orcs and dwarfs? Just throw them all together and have fun.
-
Blue and yellow go together, when your eye sees one they look for the other. Yeah I don't get that either, it's from a design and art classes I took. The black and yellow is for CAUTION! and alike.

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors
The Green Brick Giant replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was thinking with the new mold that it would be $50, $40 isn't bad. $25 for the snow speeder and $15 for the cave doesn't seem right. The set with the dinosaur looking creature is $25 and that comes with nothing special. -
I don't think it is, it looks too thick if that makes sense. Plus there are inverted slopes.

Did prices go down this year?
The Green Brick Giant replied to def's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The battle packs in the USA have gone from $10 last May to $11 in June and are still $11 this year. The prices might have gone down because LEGO seems to be trying to even out the prices between countries a little. So instead of over charging Euro more than America they will just screw over everyone. -
Power miners... ending!?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Omicron Squad Leader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Considering I don't think they are selling that well from what I could see, and a few places already had them on sale, be happy with what you get. Themes never have lasted very long, this isn't anything new, in several years they will bring something back like it, no big deal. It has happened with Aquazone, Divers, Exo-force, Rock Raiders, Life on Mars, Mars Mission Alpha Team, Agents. No LEGO Action themes last longer than 3 years. -
They don't bother showing exclusives because the point of Toy Fairs are to get stores to buy more LEGO. Sometimes they just can't ship all the sets to all the fairs.

Lime green has been around for about 10 years. Also it's a LEGO theme, it's little plastic kids toys, of course it's childish. -

What are you taking about? LEGO is probably only going to make one run of these sets, they make what they make and when they are gone they are gone forever. These aren't sets, these are collectible. They will be out for 2 months, some rarer than others and then the next set will come out. LEGO isn't going to go "Well this one guy seems popular, lets make a new run of them". It's all or nothing. These are going to sell out quick and LEGO better have a decent plan for their release otherwise they will have a lot of pissed off fans. I see them only being at LEGO Stores and TRU and that is an incredibly stupid plan. -
That's not a City theme, it's it's own theme. I'm trying to keep my dream alive another week! Stop trying to kill it people!
