My technic Pit Droid does X-D

No problem. But, if it affects LEGO in the future, will we get any commission for contribution to R&D or whatever? ;-) Free (or even reduced) entry into LEGOland this Saturday would be fine. X-D

I learned recently that the thumbs-up sign that we all use (including me) is actually a phallic symbol of male verility. Interesting... *yoda* That is rather interesting. Thanks for sharing. But Willy, how does a hook-handed pirate give two thumbs up anyway?
-
Yes. I do it all the time. This is an interesting idea, but I don't think LEGO would do it. It would 'inspire violence'. |-/ So striking down folks with Lightsabers, shooting cuddly little bears and destroying planets isn't violent? And that's just one theme!

That's a pretty good idea. I was thinking it would be just regular white torsos and legs, with different hip colors for the belts. Can you seperate legs from hips? Not something I've ever tried to do. That would certainly solve that problem and make for interesting combinations in MOCs. I'll give you another useful tip... you can seperate heads from bodies! X-O I was going to. Only problem is time (like, not enough of it). I think it'd be fairly easy to do. Only thing is, bodies with Gi's on them. I think just using this. with white legs, and hips of various colors for belts would work well enough. You could just ignore the belt that's on now... That would work. Yes, need to ignore the belt. And the black trim would make it look like Taekwondo rather than anything Japanese. So it becomes a dojang rather than dojo set. And Katanas become irrelevent. But kick pads and smash boards become part of the set. I've read somewhere that its possible to use nail polish remover to remove patterns from bricks. I'm thinking that with precision, maybe that figure could be modified. Off topic, I'm wondering if this is possible with the Jedi Starfighter (ROTS version) as I want to make Darth Vader's from post ROTS and the Bendu symbol would need to be removed. Oh, and the octagonal flags don't yet come in black!

MOC: Servant 1- Mandalorian short range fighter craft
captaintau replied to johnsocal's topic in LEGO Star Wars
After Boba Fett rediscovers the source of Mandamental the Mandalorians become very wealthy by selling Mandametal to anyone who will pay their extremely high prices. This new properity also gives them the financial ability to create new highly fortified/secured manufacturing facilities to produce mass amounts of Mandalorian armor for the new reborn Mandalorian army. When Boba visited Kuat he negotiated a deal with them (one they couldn't refuse ) to be the sole supplier of all new Mandalorian ships and Boba wanted these new crafts to be instantly recognizable to the infamous Slave 1 that's renown throughout the entire galaxy to symbolize the he is indeed the new Mandalore. When someone (friend or foe) came in contact with one of the new Mandalorian ships they knew exactly who they were dealing with. Boba had his pilots adopt an orange color scheme as well as a sign of respect for the rebel pilots who defeated the Empire at the battle of Endor. In Boba's opinion those pilots had all the odds against them and were true underdogs, but were able to defeat their adversary by skill and determination. OK. Cool. Makes sense Looked like you did, too. But still good job. Quick thinking X-D -
I have a couple of spare Katanas I'll certainly bung in an envelope for you. You coming next saturday? I could bring them for you then. Off topic, you know what would be a really useful piece? Something that fits in between legs and abdomen like a belt. Could have a clip on for Katanas or firearms. Or making jetpacks and things. Whatdyoureckon?

I was thinking. (Always a mistake) Has there ever been a "dojo" set? That is, a Martial Arts themed town set. I know there was a Ninja line and I wish I'd been into LEGO at the time as I reckon I'd have enjoyed that. Its like every town has some sort of Martial Arts school now so it makes sense. If not, my idea: Small, one storey building. No roof (for playability / access). Maybe of wooden appearance. Floor a distictly different colour to the wall so it looks like mats are down. Maybe border to the mats that's near to the same colour as the walls. Several minifigs, all dressed in dogis. Belts can be printed on. A Hakama for the Sensei is probably going too far. All could have different hair (tied back, obviously), different facial expressions, be different genders or races. Sensei could look different, for example by wearing black compared to the others' white. Katanas / staffs on the wall. A small Kamiza on one wall. Soem scrolls or certificates also on the wall. What do we all think? Shall I pitch it to LEGO?

Nice. Very good. *y* One question, to pick holes in your story rather than model: You suggest that Boba reforms the Mandalorians and therefore new "Slave"-type ships are created. Yet you also say they're made by Kuat. Kuat stopped making the Firespray after Slave I was half-inched by Jango. Why would they pick up the line 50-whatever years later? Surely any new ships have nothing to do with Kuat? -
See you in a week. Enjoy your tour. I need to add, Mrs Tau is almost certainly out due to a back injury. My mate might come, but I can't see that his health is good enough. So, with a week to go, what's the latest plans?

In light of the above, I was going to cancel my order today. But this morning, I had the following e-mail: " Dear Mr Jones Unfortunately we have had a technical glitch with some Lego items on our website. Ah, sorry. In all fairness, anyone who had a role in Red Dwarf is worthy of respect. I just making the comparison of us driving on the left because Napolean was a leftie and some issue of height, that being is main distinguishing physical feature. Anyway, I love France. Been twice. Great food. Very hospitable where I went, which is more than can be said for half of bloody England!
