But the 'broad-spectrum' is made up of millions of individuals, so isn't that kinda a millions of times worse than if you had aimed at specifically UltraPrime? Or does not knowing who they are make it OK, like throwing bricks into a crowd randomly? -Just a thought about broad opinions. No, not as bad. I just mean that UP shouldn't take it as a targetted-at-he-personally comment. He personally has done me no harm. Smokers generally, they do me lots of harm, which is my point. Which I stand by.

Did you not say in another thread that you weren't MLLL2?

Effects the event has on people...

Is that a Dan Brown book I see there. Now there's an idea for a LEGO theme - the Robert Langdon series. It'll never happen - too adult orientated -
:-D Scathing. But sweet!

I'll try not to take that personally ;-) Its not meant personally, like to any specific individual. Broad-spectrum oppinion that I stand by. http://www.martialartsvillage.org/mavforum...read.php?p=1946 Nothing to do with LEGO, but very interesting

So, how do we all store all the mass of instruction books? I know some people keep their boxes and so probably keep the instructions in the box. I keep all mine in the AT-TE box (the only box I've kept). Its well heavy now and might just fall apart in the near future. I'm looking toward all my instructions being kept in plastic wallets in an A4 folder

This is why I never buy used LEGO. Except for the RGS which was advertised as new. Used LEGO also takes away the fun of assembly, unless you have a thoughtful, willing seller. Frankly, all smokers should be locked up. When was the last time you saw a minifig with a cigarette?

Bon Anniversaire, Monsieur Yoda! :-D

How long do you keep your Lego models built?
captaintau replied to vahkimetru's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Mine stay built. This said, with space constraints all but the biggest are currently in crates in episode groups. -
Dumping all the way.

I DO like making MOCs, just lack the time. Would love to make more. Like that dojo I talked about on another thread.

OK, generally I don't have time for MOCs (have the ideas and the enthusiasm, but not the time), but here's a small project that only reached conclusion this morning. First, let's take 6966: MINI Anakin's Jedi Startfighter from ROTS. Now, I got an idea from somewhere and followed it through. Could have been here, couldn't been somewhere else. Replace the yellow parts with red to make Obi Wan's Starfighter. Now, in the New Essential Chronology, there is a picture of the craft Darth Vader uses after ROTS for a while. Before his TIE Advanced is created. Essentially, its a Kuat Eta-2 as above, but black. In fact, there a bit more to the latter one than first looks. To make the red one, I simply directly replaced all the yellow with red. To make the black one, though, I had to do a little experiemntation. First (and I'm not sure how clear this is), the white 1x1 rounded plate has become brown. This is because Imperial Astromechs are generally black or bronze rather than red or blue. Second, the grey weaposn just didn't look right so they've also become black. Otherwise, its as-is. Now, what I want to do is create a system-scale version. IE take Anakin's yellow Eta-2 and make it black and even get another DV minifig from Bricklink. Two problems: 1. The cockpit has an imprinted Bendu symbol on it. Its not availble in any set other than Jedi Starfighter/Vulture Droid and USB. I asked on another thread about the feasibility of removal of this using, say, nail varnish. 2. The Octagonal wings are also only available in the above sets. I'll check Peeron periodically to see if either of those two pieces get used in any other set.

the firefighting game: the true story!
captaintau replied to snefroe's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
It was me and Mr and Mrs Hobbes in engine 2, so KhoRne must have been with Yoda and Jon. How we came last I have idea. Yes, I suspect there was lots of cheating going on! -
Not necessarily. Take a wander over to FBTB sometime. "The land that apostrophies forgot!" :-P

:-D Yep!

At Windsor I bought: A spicey beanburger A soft drink some fries and onion rings Oh and a snowtrooper keyring I was SO disappointed with the shops. I came away with nothing that I was after. Biggest let-down of the day

Actually, yeah, DoubleT suggested asking Yoda about sending sets over. Yoda, mate... :'-)

I didn't take any pictures of them, sorry. From what I gather, I'm the only one NOT doing the full three days, so you'll probably not any until Monday or Turesday. Sorry.

Jon Fett looking at fairy clothes!: That's all for now. I look forward to everyone else's return for more photo's and for discussion. Edit: I confess to not being particularly good yet at uploading photo's for display. On review, these seem WAY too big, despite me trying to size them down during upload. Admins: please alter these posts as needed, with my apologies. If you'd prefer, I'll gladly e-mail you my photo's so as you can delete and replace these posts.

Hello. I've just got back home from Windsor. It seems I'm the only one of the group that isn't doing three days and so I'm the first to report to you, which the others are keen for me to do. At time of writing, I left them a few hours ago as they were headed to the pub'. They didn't even say "goodbye!" :-( . At that time, we'd covered most of the park and they were planning on going back after a couple of pints. Though they guessed that may not happen! So, some photo's. You'll have to excuse if I get names wrong or can't remember who is who. Introductions were quick and the mind wanders even quicker when you're there! This is a photo' of a photo' taken during the Jungle Coaster ride. Front are Copmike and Snefroe1. Back is Jon Fett (strangling himself!) kimt and DoubleT

Just in case anyone's brought their laptop with them or checking prior to leaving home and is keeping an eye on this thread - its 07:00 (BST) and I'm about to leave. Hope to be in Windsor between 10 and 10:30

OK, I can see how the Droid body/3PO head will work and I'll take a wander on over to bricklink to source the parts. But still, 3PO body/droid head. That'll be a challenge. And I can't do HALF the job

I don't know if this is the right section, or if it should be in the MOC section. I'm after help with a MOC, not yet got one to show off. Apologies if it needs moving. What I want to do is recreate the droid head-swap from AOTC. I want to put a C-3PO head on a battle droid and a Battle Droid head on C-3PO. :-D Only, thing is, I can't for the force in me think how. :-$ Can anyone suggest anything?
