I guess that the person above (edit: the person above) me enjoys Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Edit: Whereas the person above me uses second hand "above me" descriptions!

The person above me is evidently blissfully unaware that Worcestershire Sauce doesn't share its name with the county, but takes its name from the place it was created and is still manufactured.

The person above me has evidently never visitted the K4 Kickboxing club in Kingston, Surrey, England.

I'd like to believe that Leia would outwit the Geonosian but in all honesty I don't think so. He's got a blaster and wings. Leia's got little cover and a prediliction for being shot. Geonosian victory, regreattably.
-
OK, Master Yoda wins. It was a forgone conclusion. Though a battle of boredom woudl certainly be... different Your next match comes from Geonosis. Your first competitor is a native, a Geonosian Soldier. And his opponent, still baring her chains from Jabba's Palace, its Princess Leia. Round 1. Match 10. Geonosian Soldier vs. Leia (Jabba's Palace)

Yoda can't use hsi Lightsaber as he doesn't have it in the Wookiee Catamaran set (see why I selected this version). He'll just Force-push Tarkin off a moutain.
-
OK, so Super Battle Droid wins that one to advanced into Round 2. So two Luke matches, two Lukes eliminated. This is possibly the greatest Jedi ever, we're talking about! Your next match takes place on the jungle world of Kasssyyk (or something like that). Featuring first, arriving by Wookiee Catamaran, Jedi Master Yoda. And his opponent, arriving by Imperial Star Destroyer, Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin. Not very exciting this one, sorry. Round 1. Match 9. Yoda (Wookiee Catamaran) vs. Tarkin (ISD)

On paper, the advantage goes to the SBD - he's programmed to deal with Jedi whereas Luek will have never seen one. The SBD has great firepower and Luke is a relative novice with little defence. Despite this, I see Luke winning. He's more agile, more at home in the swamps, better able to evade and hide, smarter, more adaptable. The SBD wouldn't function particularly well in the swamps. I see Luke running and jumping away, silently circling behind and then skewering the SBD on his lightsaber. Plus remember the rule that bad guys can never shoot straight! My vote is for a Luke victory.

It seems Jedi Jimmy is our runaway winner. Now remember I said this was RANDOMLY drawn. Well it is. Which is why the next match is a surprise. The next match comes from the swamps of Dagobah. Featuring first in the swampy-brown corner, LUKE SKYWALKER (from his X-Wing on Dagobah) and the swampy-green corner, from this years' Droid Battle Pack, a SUPER BATTLE DROID. Round 1. Match 8. Luke (Dagobah) vs. Super Battle Droid (Battle Pack)

Bothans; great names, like "Borsk Fey'lya" etc.

I was expecting lots of votes for Luke. However - Luke hasn't actually recieved any tuition on lightsaber combat. Since the emergence of Darth Maul, all Jedi have been. - Luke only really wins over DV and DS by necessity for the safety of the galaxy. Jimmy is (we assume) a competence, capable Jedi Knight - Luke is very strong in the Force, yet is really quite new to it. Ten years hence, he'd kick Jimmy's big behind no worries. At the moment, though, Jimmy is polished and ready. I say Jimmy wins

Trooper, I never thought in that much deatil. I reckon he kills Dengar, The exact details of method are irrelevent or any recordings of the event are subsequently destroyed by Bounter-Hunter-Anakin. Anyway, it seems Dengar gets the vote. He progressed to the next round. You next match comes from the throne room of the Death Star II. Introducing first in the millitary-grey corner, soon to be Jedi Knight, Luke Skywalker (from Final Duel). And his opponent, already a Jedi Knight, though from a more peaceful era, standing in the ocean-grey corner and having landed by Republic Gunship, Jedi Jimmy Round 1. Match 7. Luke (Final Duel) vs. Jedi Jimmy
-
It looks as though Luke could be winched in, though I suspect this would have advertised more.
-
In theory its simple - Dengar is ruthless effective bounty hunter and Anakin is a 10 year old kid. Dengar wins hands down. However... 1. Anakin already has tried and proven Force abilities, particularly in being able to see into the future. He also has a rudimentary sense of good/bad. I think he'd see Dengar's intent and maybe even method coming. Furthermore, we've seen his potential for anger (when he gets older) and his determination. 2. Dengar is right-handed, yet the minifig is obviously a b it dumb with weaing his weapon slung for left-handed draw. This will slow him down considerably. I think Anakin will foresee Dengar's attack and use his ten-year-old's wits to evade, befuddle and ultimate defeat Dengar. Unfortunately this brush with a Bounty Hunter will spur him to become one in order to kill Watto and free his mother from slavery, thus taking his destiny in a whole new direction, possibly meaning he never becomes a Sith but certainly making him one of the most feared and mercillous men in the galaxy, even without Jedi / Sith training. Maybe he'd even be recruited as an Emperor's Hand and kill Darth Tyranus and Mara Jade, eventually usurping Darth Sidious. I dunno I reckon Anakin wins.

Scout Trooper wins a close-fought match on the basis of his tactical skill. The next match takes place on a Star Destroyer, possibly the Executor, I'm not sure. First, the famed Bounter Hunter, DENGAR. And his opponent, from the deserts of Tattooine, a ten year old fresh from building his Podracer, ANAKIN SKYWALKER (from Anakin's Podracer) Round 1. Match 6. Dengar vs. Anakin (from Anakin's Podracer)

Remember that these minfigs are from specific sets. Being based on the ISD, the Stormie has access to greater weapon options. As well as his "loudpseaker" blaster", he's also got "TV camera" rifles. This said, firepower is only one element and the Scoutie will have better training and will be more familiar with his environment. He's also recieved more evolved training (two episodes in time worth). My guess is Scoutie will nearly get hit by blaster or rifle bolts several times, but will ultimately sneak up on Stormie all jungle-Ninja-like and choke him out for the win.

Pretty clear cut: winner is Anakin. More from him very soon. The next match comes to you again from the Endor Jungle. Featuring this time, from the Speeder Bikes on Endor set, an Imperial Scout Trooper. And his opponent, fresh from the Imperial Start Destroyer near the first Death Star, an Imperial Storm Trooper. Now this should be really interesting. Round 1. Match 5. Speeder Bikes at Endor Scout Trooper vs. ISD Storm Trooper

Now this I like. :-D I'm less imaginative/sarcastic/fascetious/funny. Anakin kills Jawa. The end. BTW, because I'm impatient I'm drawing out one night ahead of where we're currently at. I stress its Random (I'm using Random.org). Tomorrow night's match will be the most interesting yet. No Jedi or Sith involved.
-
I declare the winner of match three to be Kit Fisto. The next match comes from inside a battered Sandcrawler on Tattooine. Featuring one of its denizens, a JAWA. And his opponent, also originally from Tattooine, from the Ultimate Space Battle set and soon to be inductee onto the Jedi Council, ANAKIN SKYWALKER Round 1. Match 4. A Jawa vs. Anakin Skywalker
-
My vote is for Master Kit, too. Piranha: be interesting to see if your theory works out.
-
Awesome. Thanks for all that.
-
I think we're all agreed that Master Obi Wan wins that one. More from him later. Your next match takes place in the hallways of the Senate building on Coruscant. Featuring Republic Army General and newest LEGO Jedi member, KIT FISTO. And his opponent, fresh from Jabba's Sail Barge is TEMJEEL SKREEJ Round 1. Match 3. Kit Fisto vs. Temjeel Skreej
