  1. I think the Droideka would make it hard on Mace, with firepower, shields, etc. BUT Mace is damn good. He might beat a strategic retreat at one point. He'll probably use the Force to distract the droid then sneak up and Lightsaber him to pieces.
  2. I make it 5-3 Obi Wan, advancing him into round 3 at the expense of the Jedi Grand Master. Your next match comes from the Republic Army Barracks on Coruscant. Featuring first, Jedi Master Mace Windu (LULS version). And his opponent, a Droideka from Jedi Defence 1. Round 2, match 13. Mace Windu (LULS) vs. Droideka (Jedi Defence I)
  3. Lets see the latest fight records for these two: TPM: Obi Wan cleanly defeats Darth Maul AOTC: Obi Wan is easily defeated by Darth Tyranus, but Yoda holds his own ROTS: Darth Tyranus again easily defeats Obi Wan, but is put down by Anakin. The very same Anakin becomes Darth Vader and is arguably at his most powerful when this very version Obi Wan does the slicve-and-dice. Meanwhile, Yoda has to retreat from Anakin's Master. Obi Wan has faced tough opposition, not always won, but certainly improved. Yoda has yet to really show us his worth. I say Obi Wan after a hard-fought match, leaving Yoda wishing he'd had a LULS version of him made!
  4. OK, so despite the thought of one idiot ( :-$ ) that Greedo was underrated, the Shock Trooper wins. The next match is well harsh. It takes place on Mustafa and features two Jedi Masters. The first comes wielding a Light-Up Lightsaber. Inb the lava-red corner, its Obi Wan Kenobi (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel). And his opponent, standing in the magma-black corner, its Yoda (Jedi Duel). Round 2, match 12. Obi Wan Kenobi (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel) vs. Yoda (Jedi Duel)
  5. I never set an actual rule, but seeing as how its "minifig" challenge rather than "character" challenge, I think its fair to assume its whats in the set. Then again, Greedo has a thermal detonator in the game. Off the top of my head, the only minfig I think of with access to a gun is the Snow Trooper in the Millennium Falcon. Or one of the Battle Droids in the Turbo Tank I wasn't aware of all of that. I sit corrected.
  6. Got this yesterday in a chance visit to Woolworths My random thoughts: - Nice shape and look. Cool minifigs - That missile goes off WAY too easily, with how proud the switch sits. It goes off, like every time I put the ship down or any time I mount it on the landing pad. I've already lost it :-( - I don't see the point of the ramp for R2. I just assumed he'd be mounted laterally with his shoulders covered so he had to be dropped out of bottom. - The flick-fire missiles drop of the VD when its standing - HOW MANY errors in the instruction book? More than I've ever come across before. So it looks and swooshed much better than the original and has some nice ideas in it, but has some major flaws. I'm actually quite disappointed by it. Certainly not sure its worth
  7. Firstly, the Shock Trooper is NOT equal to the Storm Trooper. Shockie has more advanced and mroe specialised training. Secondly, neither have guns, though Shockie probably has easy access to artiliary. I'm gonna go against the popular vote. Shockie is well versed in arrest procedures, restraint, armed and unarmed combat and elimination. But I'm thinking that Greedo wouldn't be in service as a BH unless he had some degree of competence. I suggest Greedo coudl be underrated. So they shoot at each other (Shockie has his own weapon, whereas Greedo uses the oen from the Cantina, which we generally assume to be Han's, though this is never proven.) Shockie wins this part. Out of firearm ammunition, they engage in unarmed combat. Greedo obviously cheats lots and ends up ripping off Shockie's helmet and choking him. Greedo wins
  8. 128 character? Man, that woudl draw out the competition. 2 months plus just for round 1. On reflect, I personally think 64 was too many but if I'd cut it to 32, we'd have missed out a lot of good fighters. Anyway, Darth Maul wins a predicatable match. Introducing into the next match, from this years' Clone Troopers Battle Pack, its the Shock Trooper. And his opponent from the Mos Eisley Cantina, is the bounty hunter Greedo. Round 2, match 12. Shock Trooper vs. Greedo
  9. In match 25 of round 1, he defeated the Gamorrean Guard. He's yet to fight in round 2. I doubt it. There hasn't been that much interest in this one. I'm open to ideas, though.
  10. I do think in retrospect that this would have been better with two groups: Jedi/Sith and non-Jedi/Sith. Anyway, Lord Maul wins easily.
  11. So Jedi Jimmy wins and advances into round 3. The next match takes place on an unknown world full of Dark Side energy. The first fighter is an Iridonian named Darth Maul (original Sith Infiltrator). And his opponent, the Bounty Hunter Dengar. Round 2, match10. Darth Maul (original SIth Infiltrator) vs. Dengar
  12. Han shoots first. But he's up against a old-Republic era Jedi Knight, who is schooled in form III. Blaster bolt deflected. Han cut down. Though Jimmy does have a bit of manic expression, I concede
  13. Welcome! Nice review. Am I right in thinking that the pilot has no controls?
  14. Firstly, jifel: I have no problem with your idea. You don't need my permission anyway. Besides, immitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Now, this match. I make it three all so again I'm ruling in favour of who seems to have the better arguments in their favour. I think is Qui Gon Jinn so I announce him as the winner. The next match takes place in the area on Geonosis. Featuring first arriving by Republic Gunship, its Jedi Jimmy. And his opponent in his Hoth Gear, arriving by Millennium Falcon, its Han Solo. Round 2, match 9. Jedi Jimmy vs. Han Solo (new-version system-scale Millennium Falcon)
  15. Soccer :-X
  16. Qui Gon's cry of "What have you become?" is cut short by his head being cut off.
  17. I make it 4-2 to Darth Tyranus, who advances to round 3. The next match is again Jed vs Sith. And what an interesting match of individuals. Its really a case of "If I knew then..." First we have Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn. And his opponent, Sith Apprentice Darth Vader (ISD) Ouch! Round 2, match 8. Qui Gon Jinn vs. Darth Vader (ISD)
  18. That makes even less sense *wacko* Killing does not inherantly lead to posession. Also the way in which "own" is being used. As a verb in place of something like "overcomes". Makes no sense at all.
  19. That still doesn't make any sense. Ownage is based on being owned? Mmmmm, OK. See my above post :-/
  20. Can I just ask what all this "owned" is about? I don't see any characters being possessions of any other. Except obviously young Anakin and his mother who were "owned" as it were by Watto.
  21. I concur. Darth Tyranus easy win.
  22. OK, I'm calling this match early simply because I don't know if I'll have time later with going first to the Dojang, then to work. I make it a close win for Yoda. The next match features Obi Wan Kenobi AGAIN. That's three out of the last four matches, folks. Again I promise that draws are completelt random. This match takes place in the arena on Geonosis. First, the lord of the arena, Sith Appentice Darth Tyranus. And his opponent, arriving by Delta-7 Aetherprite, its Jedi Knight Obi Wan Kenobi. Round 2, match 7. Darth Tyranus vs. Obi Wan Kenobi (Jedi Starfighter)
  23. Buried under Vader's (I think it was Vader, it was a fair few pages back) laundry.
  24. I know this is a bit of thread necromancy, but... just to prove it: This chocolate muff in was consumed at about 08:00! X-D
