PAYDAY! Ordered this last night. Await eagerly. What's the name of the Astromech?
-
I think Jabba would stand a fair chance against anyone unarmed. What could they do to him? All he's gotta do is swing his tail or sit on them. But he's against a very competent Jedi, albeit a Padawan. Obi Wan will just slice him up and make Hutt Steaks out of him, thereby feeding the slave population of Tattooine.
-
I couldn't log in last night hence there being no winner announced. I'm going to try to get two matches in todat, though to catch up. Winner of the last match = Mace Windu No messing, straight in with next one: Round 1, match 18. Jabba the Hutt vs. Obi Wan Kenobi (Gungan Sub)
-
Ah, but there is Actually, I really should get back to writing some reviews. I'll try.
-
Han is smart. He thinks if he shoots Mace's Lightsaber hand, it'll cause a short through his minifig body and he'll blow up. But Mace is a master of Vapaad and slices straight through Han.

BLue + grEY = BLEY. It could also have been GRey + blUE = GRUE! :-P Nah, I know is blue-tinted grey. The problem is that both "red" and "brown" (and it IS red-tinted brown, not brown-tinted red afterall) have an odd number of letters. So we take the rounded-up half number of letters from one word and rounded-down half number of letters from the other word. That gives us either rewn ("re"+"wn") rown ("r"+"own") Of those choices, I prefer "rewn" as "rown" just seems stoopid. "fake" is really dumb when is official LEGO, irrespective of what you may think of it. So my vote is for "rewn"

Well surprisingly (to me, anyway) Greedo wins. We'll see how he does later, in round 2. Your next match comes again from Mos Eisley (remember this IS random). Introducing first, fresh from Shooting First, its Han Solo (Mos Eisley Cantina). And his opponent, hitching a lift on a Turbo Tank, its Jedi Master Mace Windu (LULS version). Round 1, match 17. Han Solo (Mos Eisley Cantina) vs. Mace Windu (LULS)

This is Boba, my long-haired Syrian Hamster. Isn't he gorgeous? Now look at that posture; arms crossed, covering the midline, jaw tucked, body turned oblique. He's obviously been studying Wing Chun while I've been at work :-D
-
Learning his lesson from Han Solo, Greedo shoots first. Luke hasn't yet learned to deflect blaster shots so he goes down
-
OK, so Lord Vader wins. Big shock there. Regrettably the next match isn't much better. I promise more interesting matches to come. Really. Lets just get through round 1 and get rid of all trash them start some proper fights! Your next match comes from Tattooine. Featuring first, fresh from his "Han Shot First" t-shirt photo' shoot, GREEDO. And his opponent, currently wondering "am I in the new AT-AT set or not", its LUKE SKYWALKER (from the original non-motorised AT-AT) Round 1, match 16. Greedo vs. AT-AT Luke

Kryten's first appearance was in the episode "Kryten", series 2, episode 1. Then, he was played by David Ross in one-off episode. He has been in every episode since episode 1 of series 2 ("Backwards") when Robert Llewellyn took the role. He was also in the pilot episode of the American version, the only British cast member to continue their role in the American version. If you watch them in order (which I recommend), it'll take you a while to get into it. But when you get to Polymorph, it'll be SO worth it. You'll thank us.

What Piranha said.

Ok, so the Red Guard wins. The next match is so predicatable and pathetic, its a shame we have to have it at all. Still, its what the random draw produced. Lets just get it over with and accept that plenty more fun matches still lie ahead. First, a Battle Droid, from the Battle Droid Carrier. Second, Darth Vader, from Ultimate Lightsaber Duel. Round 1, match 15. Battle Droid vs. Ultimate Lightsaber Duel Darth Vader

No, its more series thats variable not episode. Series 1: heavy on scene-setting and characterisation, low on comedy. Seen by some as the best series. Certainly is funny in places, but was certainly innovative and original in its day. Series 2: Bettered series 1. Writers got more confidant. Characters got out. It got funnier. Series 3: Consistently roll-on-the-floor my-sides-are-about-to-megablocking-split level funny. Especially Polymorph. The "boxer shorts" scene took ages to film as the actors couldn't hear each others' line over the laughter of the audience. Series 4-6: Consistently excellent, though unable to top series 3. Series 7: The only "bad" series. For various changes in actors, writers, circumstances, they virtually had to start over. Back the low-on-comedy/high-on-characterisation level Series 8: ah, much better. Though still unable to top any of series 3-6 Yeah, seen it. Its not bad, its just not good.

The Buzz Droid is an annoyance rather than a genuine opponent. Initially evades the Red Guard and even penetrates his armour on one attack. But the Red Guard uses his spear to knock off the one-piece circular saw, then runs the defenceless Droid through. Game over
-
Master Qui Gon wins a hard fought match. Your next match comes from on board the Invisible Hand over Coruscant. Featuring first, a Buzz Droid. And his opponent, fresh from guard the Emperor, an Imperial Red Guard. Round 1, match 14. Buzz Droid vs. Red Guard
-
Its a tough one. I take the point that Qui Gon was trained by Count Dooku, a dueling master. However, Qui Gon's first "real" duel was against Darth Maul and we all know how that turned out. Since that fight, and the rise of Lightsaber-wielders such as Assaj Ventress and General Grievous, all Jedi have been more rigorously trained in Lightsaber dueling. Technique-wise, I give Luminara a slight advantage. Overall, I think Qui Gon has a greater sense of intuition, hence his discovery of Anakin. He also did a damn good job of training Obi Wan. His full Jedi powers arn't really seen, but he find that he's one of the few to learn to communicate with the living after his death. I give slight edge to Qui Gon, but it'll be a helluva tough match.
-
OK, Anakin wins easily. The next match is FAR more interesting, though Coming to you again from the forest world of Kassshyyk. Introducing first Jedi Master Luminara Unduli. And her opponent, also a Jedi Master, Qui Gon Jinn. This will be a tough one to call. Round 1, match 13. Luminara Unduli vs. Qui Gon Jinn

Its not a Battle Royale, its an elimination tournament! |-/

Anakin, no contest. So that's both versions of Lando out of the competition in round 1. When we finish round one, I'll start a new thread for round 2 which will begin with a list of the survivors of round one. They will then be randomly drawn to fight each other, and so on.
-
Could be worse, you could be reviewing ice cube trays! :-P

Droideka wins a short bloody (for Zam anyway) battle. Your mext match comes from just outside a Tusken Raider camp on the rim world of Tattooine. Featuring first our favourite Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker (from Tusken Raider Encounter). And his opponent, more used to clouds than sand, Lando Calrissian (from Cloud City). Round 1, match 12. Anakin (Tusken Raider Encounter) vs. Lando (Cloud City)
-
Kid, I'm not entirely convinced of your sanity. I would love to believe that most successful bounty hunters could outwit a Droideka, particularly with the sort of gadgets they carry. However, the Droideka virtually bested Qui-Gonn and Obi-Wan for Yoda's sake. The same Obi-Wan that defeated Zam (albeit a few years later). I just think Zam could overcome the firepower and shields. Shame as she'd be an interesting match against some of the other competitors.

Housemaid? Is there another "tranny" around? :-D

Yep four votes apiece. Since their arn't all that many folks that post on here, I'm not going to wait for a casting vote. Instead I'll make a decision based on the replies. Despite my own oppinion, I rule in favour of a LEIA victory on the basis on more imaginative, fun and thought-out replies. Leia progresses to the next round. That was the closest and most entertaining match yet. All credit to the runner-up (by which I do mean "deceased") Geonosian Soldier Your next match comes from the streets of Coruscant. Featuring first our only Clawdite Changeling entrant, famed bounty hunter, ZAM WESSELL. And her opponent, from the Jedi Defence I set, a DROIDEKA. Round 1, match 11. Zam Wessell vs. a Droideka (from Jedi Defence)
