  1. I asked this question at the EB event at Windsor last year and KimT or Ras74, I forget who told me "its legal spam, thats all. Its a bit of silly fun". So there you go.
  2. :-D Hickley, I think your title is spot-on, particularly as the victim of your "boo" :-P
  3. Yes I'm just thinking MF-scale Hailfire. That could be interesting. Battle Packs were certainly a good seller so it makes sense to keep making 'em
  4. I wasn't aware of that. Its all relative, I suppose. A 70 year old Wookiee is still pretty much a cub. With the deaths of Chewie and Anakin, I was really hoping they'd off Han Solo at the end of the New Jedi Order. It certainly looked like they were going to. I just found him to an anachronism in the New Jedi Order. Still he has his storyline uses in the Legacy of the Force. When Aaron Allston killed off Chewie (not his decision, BTW) I believe he had tons of hate mail. I suppose that makes any author reluctant to kill off any canon character.
  5. His death wasn't that violent, just shocking. I think they have to kill someone every novel-generation. I mean Han is like seventy now. He can't live forever. Luke is near sixty.
  6. :-D Good point. I think we just identified our true "tranny."
  7. Erm, hang on, what was this thread about Oh yeah, How Did You Get Your Title? Not How Can I Get A Title? So, how did I get my title? Well by being a tad sexist, it seems. And upsetting one of our lady members, without whom we'd be very slightly less balanced
  8. Yeah, the New Jedi Order was pretty violent, but surely no more so than - blowing up a whole planet - quite graphically removing limbs - torturing Han on Bespin - Throttling Jabba etc But yes, - Anakin Solo was killed - Jacen Solo was tortured - More planets are destroyed I don't LEGO will make any Yuuzhan Vong simply because its too far removed from the films. All the EU stuff that's been done so far is still movie-era.
  9. I'm being promoted. In two weeks I start as Charge Nurse, though thats a bit of modern title to many people so I'll almost certainly be "Sister". That's the spirit; if you're gonna go down, go down well. Hey here's an idea. With this lady group, there's no way to tell if they're a lady-vassal, a lady-knight, a lady-citizen or anything. SO here's what I propose: We abandon the Lady group as a seperate entity but since the ladies may want to be uniquely identified, they get the normal group icon (vassal, knight, whatever) but with an apron round it! :-D
  10. Actually, I think that's what he's after.
  11. What is funny is having an avatar of Darth Maul with "tranny" underneath. So under Lord Maul's Sith cloak, he got.... ladies knickers with pink hearts on! :-D
  12. WHAT! Have you been reading the Legacy of the Force series? Boba is a serious force now. And he's got it in for Jacen, I mean Da... (won't go any further due to spoilers)
  13. But does he? I'm more than willing to be proved wrong but my understanding is that his death was assumed (1000 year digestion, yada yada yada) but not explicitly stated.
  14. Yep, Jabba had her on a lead, but she used it to throttle him! :-D
  15. That's a bit harsh! Although given my new job title in couple of weeks arguably appropiate. Not to sound like I'm bringing anyone else down with me, but StarWars4J was just as bad. :-(
  16. Or maybe we would, IF we had Tibanna gas on Earth? ;-)
  17. That could be fun. SO what bonuses come with being in the ladies section? Do they get their own section on sewing patterns? Do they get to do the Mods' laundry? Do they get a special LEGO / EB pinny to wear? :-D
  18. Surely anything non-movie is EU? I suppose you've got Pre-Ep1 = OR (Old Republic) Post Ep-6 = NR (New Republic) Between Eps 2&3 = CW (Clone Wars) Between Eps 3&4 = ROP/ROV/ROE/JP (Rise of Palpatine / Rise of Vader / Rise of the Empire / Jedi Purge)
  19. Give the man hand! :-D I think we talked about this some time ago on EB. Yes, EV-9D9 is a female droid. As a point of (pointless) interest, Mrs Tau's little cousin is named "Evie". On visiting her parent's place, I notice the novelisation of ROTJ on their bookshelf. Apparently the father is quiet SW fan. I was too polite to ask if the child was named after the droid in case the mother wasn't aware.
  20. Interesting... What's the betting this thread will reach 100+ pages? I'm a fan of the novels part of the EU, but haven't caught any of the series so some of this will be lost on me. I'll still get the sets and research them on-line. I'll reserve judgement until I see pics, but so far... interesting. P.S. EU-wise, what I really want are either Darth Vader's Jedi Interceptor or a Stealth-X
  21. Nope, another one. Not a Leia
  22. You can certainly ask. Asking, though, means you almost certainly won't get one, or if you do it'll be one you won't like! Well, based on why I said above, we'll have to see what happens, won't we? >:-) Edit: UB beat me to it!
  23. I think its really going to come down to whether you prefer original LEGO yellow or new fleshtone. Oh, and you missed one :-P
  24. I had one Paradisa set, not initially realising it was meant for girls. Never mind. Had a surfboard and pedalo-type thing. Nice set. I vaguely recall having it when Baywatch was big and so had various water-themed sets that I used to make Baywatch-esque play scenes. This fitted really well.
  25. So its just that *yoda* has the rep' for bad titles?
