  1. I make it 3-1 Anakin. I was really hoping for more votes than that at this stage. I was also hoping for a few of your to disagree with me. Oh well. Anakin advances to the grand final, for which I will open a new thread now
  2. I think DV is the obvious winner as he's blatantly more powerful, but I'm gonna try and and be a bit controversial and vote for Anakin. Why? - At this point, Anakin is very powerful. Perhaps only he (and Darth Sidious) realise how powerful he is. - Look how easily he defeated Darth Tyranus. - At this point, his mind isn't clouded by anger or confusion. I think he'd be clear-minded enought to out-think the nearly-derranged DV. - DV is a LULS! I vote Anakin.
  3. I confess to being very confused by the answers. As far as I can make out, Darth Tyranus won a close match. He advances to become the first grand finalist. Straight with the second match with minimal introduction. Incredible match. Who could have forseen this. Jedi vs. Sith. With a twist. Semi final 2: Darth Vader (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel) vs. Anakin Skywalker (Ultimate Space Battle) X-O We're soooo close to the final, and the winner now.
  4. Another vote for Tyranus. We've seen that they can match each other with the Force, though I give the edge here to Yoda. Tyranus' Lightsaber skills are formidable and more suited to the types of match we have here (form II master - duelling). I think its a lengthy, tough match, but eventually Tyranus wins out.
  5. I make it 4-2 to Anakin, which makes the semi finals very interesting indeed. That match concluded the quarter finals, so we're straight on to the semi finals. Just two matches, and then the grand final. I'm keep the intro short. Jedi Master vs. Fallen Jedi. How's that. Semi Final 1: Yoda (Wookiee Catamaran) vs. Darth Tyranus A rematch? Almost. Please think carefully about these minifigs
  6. jifel, that's rubblish (see look, starting some debate. Should have done this round 1.) Anakin has been trained by the guy that killed Darthy M. He's one of the most powerful Jedi ever. Maul's got no chance whatsoever.
  7. So our latest addition to the LEGO Jedi ranks topples. Kit Fisto is out. Darth Vader progresses to the semi finals, and what matches they promise to be. Yet again we have Sith vs. Jedi in our fourth and therefore final quarter final. Featuring first the Iridonian Sith Apprentice, arriving by Sith Infiltrator, its Darth Maul. And his opponent, a human Jedi Knight arriving by Eta-2 Actis Interceptor, its Anakin Skywalker. Quarter Final 4: Darth Maul (Sith Infiltrator) vs. Anakin Skywalker (Ultimate Space Battle)
  8. Its a tough call. Kit Fisto is legendary Lightsaber master, yet DV is about at his most powerful. He even slays another Lightsaber master in the Jedi Temple. OK, Kit is more powerful than Obi Wan. He only died by being caught unawares by DS. For this match and this match alone, I'm gonna ignore the whole LULS thing and vote for Darth Vader. I know its an about turn for me, for its really that close.
  9. So it seems pretty conclusive that Obi Wan loses this match and that now all versions of Obi Wan are out of the contest. Darthy T advances to the Semi Finals The next match is another Jedi vs Sith (these Random draws came out pretty good). Featuring first, fresh from win slaughter of Mace Windu in round 3, its Master Kit Fisto. And his opponent, frshly converted to the Sith, its Darth Vader. Quarter Final 3: Kit Fisto vs. Darth Vader (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel)
  10. What about Star Wars. We have the Gungan Sub and... we have the Gungan Sub. The Tank droid and Dwarf Spider Droid both run underwater. Wookiee Catamaran? Batman has a Batboat. There's the Crocboat and the Penguin sub and Robin's thingy in the Batcave. I have some water-type things from city from when I was a kid. I have black and red (IIRC) two-person motor boat that I loved. I've voted Aqua Raiders as I've started to enjoy that theme. Its the only non-theatre theme that I've got since coming out of my dark ages
  11. I think its because that fight was on a whole new level. There was so much emotion and determination on both sides and there was so much at stake. Anyway, I agree that Darth Tyranus wins. He's beaten Obi Wan twice (both times quite easily) and in this match Obi Wan is hampered by being LULS.
  12. So Master Yoda wins to be the first to enter the semi finals. The next match features a Sith Apprentice and a Jedi Knight. First, hailing from Dooku castle, its Darth Tyranus. And his opponent, from where-I-have-no-dea, its Obi Wan Kenobi. Quarter Final 2: Darth Tyranus vs. Obi Wan Kenobi (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel) As a side thing, I'll certainly go ahead with the Bounty Hunter mini-competition, but AFTER this main one.
  13. And once again some thread necromancy from Captain Tau as he's so far behind is getting some sets. Just finished building it. Got lucky on an eBay auction -
  14. OK, so when the grand final is done, I'll work out from the rounds the best seven non Jedi/ Sith. I'm doimg 7 because Boba deserves a bye to the next round on the basis of being the only non-Jedi/Sith in the finals. A Bounty Hunter mini-tournament would be interesting, though I'd like to include smugglers in that, too.
  15. Maybe, in retrospect, we should have had two mini-competitions; one for Jedi & Sith (and I include General Grievous in this due to his Lightsaber prowess) and one for non-Jedi/Sith. After the Grand Final, would it be worth gathering the four or eight best non-Jedi/Sith for their own mini-competition?
  16. I went to Cardif. I took one of my students who is going to start uni' there this month to train with my Sensei.
  17. I don't think Boba has a hope. Yoda doesn't have his Lightsaber here, but it won't matter. He'll flip away from blaster bolts or Force deflect them. Then use the Force to steer Boba's jetpack into... well, whatever hard surface comes to hand
  18. Wow! Three rounds down. Just eight fighters remaining. From now on, there's no random drawing, they fight in the order you see them listed below. Should be some hellish good matches. So, your survivors: 1. Boba Fett (Cloud City) 2. Yoda (Wookiee Catamaran) 3. Darth Tyranus 4. Obi Wan Kenobi (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel) 5. Kit Fisto 6. Darth Vader (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel) 7. Darth Maul (Sith Infiltrator) 8. Anakin Skywalker (Ultimate Space Battle) And so getting straight on with the first match. Featuring first the only non-Jedi/Sith remaining. Its the Bounty Hunter Boba Fett. And his opponent, the Jedi Master, Yoda Quarter Final 1: Boba Fett (Cloud City) vs. Yoda (Wookiee Catamaran)
  19. Well I thought this would be a close one. Instead Anakin wins a whitewash. This concludes round three.
  20. This is tough one. As its stands, I'm going to vote Anakin. Another day and my oppininon could change. Lets see why I'm pro-Anakin today: - He's possibly as his most powerful. Look at how easily he kills Darth Tyranus - There's no deception here, Sidious is Sidious, not Anakin's friend and mentor - Sidious has no Lightsaber and hasn't actually done any fighting in three movies I think Anakin would be badly hurt. BUT he's now experience Force Lightening and and is better prepared to deal with it. Anakin wins. Barely
  21. So Darth Maul wins an easy match. The following is the final match of round 3. Tomorrow night, I'll announce the winner and begin a "finals" thread where we get to see how the final EIGHT contestants will square up. We're getting close to a winner now. This match in another particularly harsh one. Introducing first arriving by Eta-2 Actis Interceptor, its Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. And his opponent, his mentor the Sith Master Darth Sidious. Round 3, match 8: Anakin Skywalker (Ultimate Space Battle) vs. Darth Sidious (Final Duel I)
  22. ImperialShadows' perspective is certainly very interesting. When DM emerged, there hadn't been a known Sith for how-many years so non of the Jedi were prepared to deal with real-life Lightsaber duelling. The rare exception being Count Dooku who was a master of Lightsaber Form II which was for duelling. His methods were seen as archaic, though. Even those that were Lightsaber masters (Kit Kisto, Mace Windu, Yoda, Agen Kolar) woudl have been prepared for a double-bladed Lightsaber. Its simple really: DM was prepared for that match, Qui Gon wasn't. 99 matches out of 100, DM wins. The other 1% is luck.
  23. Yep, Chewie became a Wookiee-Burger to the chef-Sith. The next match... well we've sort of seen it before. Different outcome? YOU DECIDE. Featuring first, the Jedi Qui Gon Jinn. And his opponent, arriving on his (older model) Sith Infiltrator, its the Sith Darth Maul Round 3, match 7: Qui Gon Jinn vs. Darth Maul (Sith Infiltrator)
  24. Yep, Chewie's a Wookiee-Burger. Shame as I'd have liked to have seen him go further.
  25. I make it 5-3 Master Kit, who holds the record for the shortest Lightsaber match in SW movie history! The next match will fail to live up to that match, but it can't be helped. Featured first, our favourite Wookiee, its Chewbacca (Mil Falc). And his opponent, the new Sith Apprentice Darth Vader (ULS) Round 3, match 6: Chewbacca (new, system-scale, MF) vs. Darth Vader (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel)
