  1. I personally want them to have normal eyes... I just don't feel confident that they will, given that Disney eyes are such an important brand feature of Disney characters. I guess it is really a moot point at the moment as we haven't seen any figures yet. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. Um... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112721&st=100 Glad Nexo Knights doesn't have Dragons! That'd be 3 themes! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. Wow. This is one of your best builds yet, IMO! So clean and slick! I love thebplatform/catwalk! I love the tank! I love the easteregg.... and the story is great too! awesome job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  4. I don't think the two can't coexist. I personally don't care for Princesses... no offense, I just don't have much use for the minidolls. I like the ones in Elves, but I doubt Lego will ever produce a diverse enough variety of them to make them usable for my purposes. I think Princesses and a Disney CMF line could certainly take place at the same time though. That's a great example! Thanks for that! I'm still not 100% convinced they will avoid the compatibility issue though... after all... Disney eyes are very much iconic. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. This is absolutely gorgeous! The buildings are so well constructed! I love all the NPU and little details here! Magnifique! And I particularly love the... ehem... pda... and the gorgeous hair falling free of the dead soldier. Such splendid details! This is truly a masterpiece... I may have to reconsider my own ambitions to enter... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. Sorry Bob, I might have had too many coffees this morning. spam-mode disengage. Doesn't look like there's any inklings of a Sci-Fi set this year so far, save Benny's spaceship pack from Dimensions. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  7. Imaginative
  8. Oh I totally agree... but I personally feel stronger about RR. (AZ is definitely on another planet... but In RR we actually see their space ship! In space! Before they crash on Planet X! In space! It's all very clearly Space...) No kidding! I can't even hardly find space to display my Alien Conquest sets! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  9. I personally am holding out for them to make more sets. I want a Tardis, but I can't imagine this will be the only Who set... let alone the only one with a Tardis. I think it's probable they'll release a set with just the tardis, like a UCS, or something. I'll get that. This, however doesn't have much for me, 'Cept the Angel, that I can't get from the cheaper Dimensions set. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  10. I definitely think we'll see some minifigure princesses! This is Disney! What's Disney without its princesses? I hope we get Belle with that new dress piece! Very much same. what a flawless film. See, my concern here is not that the figures will be fleshie. I am 150% positive that they will be. (Imagine the backlash if they weren't?! do you recall when Lando was released originally? Lego does not want a repeat of that...) My concern is that the minifigure's heads will not be compatible with other fleshy minifig heads. I think they will have... well, "Disney-fied" eyes. Much like Star Wars Clone wars figures look "off" when placed beside other figures, my main concern is that these figures will be too. I know they will be different in style... but I hope it's not so different. I need more fleshie figures, and I hope Disney CMF ones don't look too weird. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  11. Yeah that sounds sensible. I actually meant "Antoinette" and "Belle" minifigures when I said "both". I don't actually think we will see a physical version of this design, and if we do it'll be in a huge set in another wave, but their inclusion of the new dress piece in the tvshow means to me that they have plans to produce the piece physically. That's not to say I wouldn't love to see Macy's dress depicted here, I just don't think this proves it will exist... while I do think it proves that the piece itself will! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  12. super impressive! that's a lot of sets, and a lot of money! And a lot of space too! I mean space taken up! Yeah, RR was unambiguously sci-fi, and space sci-fi specifically. They were fighting Alien rock monsters (in the prelims, they were actually fighting the Insectoids... as in the Insectoids theme.) on a distant planet. Very much sci-fi, and I never agreed with the decision to put it in Action. Maybe now that Action is so full of content we can get them back? AZ was a lot more ambiguous, and it could be (not fact based) argued that they were in earth's ocean, making it just about as Sci-fi as Dino Hunt 2010. So I harbour no resentments in regards to that placement. In my heart I know where it belongs.. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  13. Definitely agree! This is a confirmation to me that they are at least planning 1 or both of those minifigures. Considering we've seen the Marie Antoinette concept art, I'll hazard the guess that it'll be used for her in the 15th series, but at the same time, I don't think they'd release the two figures simultaneously, as the one could detract customers from the other (oh, I already have Belle, I don't need that queen) but once this piece is officially introduced, all bets are off! I can't wait to see it! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  14. Updated my list. here's to hoping! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. Oh yeah, it's not space related at all. (And has been moved to the action forum) but it definitely counts as science fiction fantasy, as does Ninjago, technically (depending on the year) as well as many other themes listed here as Action (like Aquazone, for instance, which was explicitly set on another planet in he future, but that's an old scar and I digress. and Rock Raiders is there too I think, which also makes no sense to me. Ah well.) Next knights is sci-fi in genre (the "upgrades" are a major theme, and their wizard is an AI system, they deal heavily with electricity and advanced technology, etc. They even say it's futuristic.), but doesn't belong in the sci-fi forum as its a much better for in action. Now... if we could trade Nexo Knights for Rock Raiders... Bob! Try working this out with Peppermint! So, I definitely hope we get a Sci Fi set or wave this year. Nexo Knights has a lot of useful parts for sci-fi, but it doesn't fill that special spot in my heart reserved for another Sci-fi theme. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  16. Ah. How relieving! So, yeah, I totally agree that this theme seems to be LU derived in a major way. I never played that game, but I see the influence. I love those civilians! And the princess dress makes me very hopeful for the future!... I need to change my CMF guessing game answer real quick... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  17. They'd definitely be fleshy. Only reason Simpsons characters were not is because... well... they're not. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. The incredibles I could see. Although I think they will stick to the most mainstream and popular characters. Likely they won't do too many (if any) from Pixar. What I'm hoping for, and what I genuinely think they may include, is Mulan. Mulan in normal dress with Mushu as an accessory! Or perhaps Mulan in soldier garb! This would be even more likely if the non-Disney CMF wave has the Terra Cotta soldier we've all been waiting for. She's iconic, popular, mainstream, and bound to be an army builder for anyone interested in Ancient Chinese Mocs. Another I think will show up is Stitch. Stitch and/or Lilo. Small legs, new head mold, CMF/Alien-conquest blaster or a new mold. Lilo would be awesome and might come with her stuffed green creature. Anyone think we'll see characters from objectively the best film ever produced after Alien and Blade Runner "Atlantis: the Lost Empire"? I could definitely see Kida or Milo. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  19. First. Ehehehehehe! 1. 2. I did not!... although it took me a bit longer than I thought it would. Ruh-roh. 3. Velma, but it's not a perfect fit. I'd like to see myself as as smart as she, but unfortunately I only have approximate knowledge of many things, as opposed to her near-encyclopedic knowledge of near every subject from forensics to ancient history! I'm like half a Velma. I share traits with just about all the other characters too though ('cept maybe Fred), and Shaggy is probably my second closest fit, being (half of) the comic relief, and I too am a big eater with a thinner waist than one would expect considering... although I'm not as thin as he by a long shot! also I'm not a stoner, IRL. (although my first roommate was in a major way.) 4. Yes... but if there's too many potential players, feel free to nix me. I still need to get myself organized in regards to providing final feedback from my game, and I'm managing a very busy schedule right now. I'd love to play... but if there's more demand than seats, I can be an easy cut for you! 5. Sure! Put me on that sucker! ~Rinsrectoid Raristocrat
  20. Oh yeah, what are the other sets that we haven't seen? Library, obviously, but King's Mech? Anything else? I thought the little girl was going to appear in the Library. She appears there in the TV show clips... Mohawk dude looks like just another grunt. He'll probably have a name, but he'll be the kind of guy who has a name but then identical clones of him show up in the TV show and in promotional pictures, etc... Also, the smallest set (chaos catapult) has the helmeted lava monster. The one with the black helmet with horns and good armour design who stood next to Moltor in the villain line-up. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  21. Wow. The queen just looks gorgeous. thanks for the new pics! Still loving those normal soldiers! My thoughts as to which of these sets I will/want to get are as follows: 1. Moltor's lava launcher. For moltor. Aaron is a nice figure, so that's a plus. Hopefully the thing falls in around 20$. That's not too big a dent in my funds if I still have my current financial situation remains consistent. 2. Ultimate Macy: I'm sure I'll justify this purchase some how. Maybe I'll get it on Layaway. Shh. Don't judge me. 3. The Chaos Catapault: comes with the best non-moltor lava monster. Is cheap. Comes with normal knight. Seems to have plenty pyramids. I'm a happy camper. Might get multiples if I'm feeling flush/fall in love with it. Did the same for Farran's crystal tree set from Elves. Good damn set. 4. That other small set: has the other knight. The other cool lava monster. Plain red naked torso. Probably good pieces. Cheap. What remains to be seen is the Library. Do we know how much that's gunner cost? All of the other sets don't interest me. I'd like to have them for the mini figures and the pieces, but I've got other things to spend money on... and I still have to budget food in to this equation. Frankly I'm glad I don't love the theme. My income isn't as disposable as I'd like it to be. Hell, I probably shouldn't be buying any of these, but I have a problem, and the only cure is more Lego. Jester is a nice minifigure, but I can't think of a single use for him outside of this theme. He's too iconic already to just be some evil jester, and really, I don't have much use for an evil jester in the first place. He's a nice figure though. The moving castle is big and dumb and I don't like it, let alone need it. It has some nice pieces, but it's easy for me to pass up. I don't think I'd buy it even on steep discount. Half-off, I'd reconsider. The Pacman podracer is another easy pass considering Macy has an ultimate set. It has a lot of pyramid pieces, and the design is inventive, but it's way too goofy for me, and to be frank I don't like it. The mecha horse is disgusting. I don't like it at all. Yuck. Clay's sword car is bland and unattractive. I'd like it more if it was thinner, but I'm not buying any of these for the models. With Ninjago, I did, but I don't see any really enticing models here save for Jesrro's evil bad-guy not-good super antagonistic nega-mobile. And I already decided against it. I'll see if any of the Ultimates are worth picking up when they are revealed. I like some of the minifigures, and Lavaria sounds like a good one to get. Can't have too many female minifigures. Especially unique ones. I also want to know what set the king and queen come in. Probably prohibitively expensive, but you never know. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  22. Oh my space gods. Wow. That is spectacular! I'm very impressed, none the least, by your massive collection of Saxophones! so much sax! So ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  23. Ok, just looked back at the original list of set names and it appears that there is an Ultimate Macy. Thank goodness. Also, the black molten lava guy appears in "Moltor's Lava Launcher" meaning his name is Moltor. The cool armored guy standing next to him also appears in the Clay's blade cruiser. He might also appear in the Chaos Catapult (Cheapest set), Making him a very good army builder. I love his face from what I can see of it. Very simple. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
