  1. Hmmm... I'm not much a fan of HP, so I can't relate much on most of the fused characters, except maybe for Harry and his friends. I was such a fan of the previous Toy Wars that this seem to be just second fiddle to the SW-TS fusion. The problem with HP is that the characters are mostly human, which does not suit well with the alien-filled SW universe. But I admire on how you don't get lost in the whole SW-TS-HP mix-ups that you do Oky. So what's next, HP-TS?
  2. Very lovely vignette! It's great to see all the Series 2 minifigs in one beach party! The surfer in the waves is just epic! The small scenes I like a lot are the Hoplite and Phaoroah making sand structures and the Pop Star still singing even when recreating. Great job as always ISC!
  3. Yeah you're right, there seems to be a discrepancy in the extra arms of GG shown in the box vs. the actual arms of GG in the set. The arms shown in the box are of these types, which enable holding the lightsabers in an upright position, while the actual arms of GG in the set are these perpendicular ones, which can't hold 2 of the sabers in upright position. It's really weird for TLG to miss on this detail.
  4. Ok, I'll cover up for TGWTB's 'laziness'. Here's the link: EB User Groups and Tags
  5. Ooh, I love the subtle interesting elements in this MOC - the cluttered pavement outside, the blackboard/chalk, the shattered glass, the use of the colorful Mexican cape. You did a good job conveying the overall picture of a sad and gloomy abandoned museum.
  6. Thanks for sharing this djmangunz. Some interesting bits, most especially Anakin's growing tendencies towards the dark side. I hope to see these types of scenes more in the upcoming season. It's also good to know the physical changes that will transpire with the characters - Anakin having longer hair will mean the series nearing RoTS, and Ahsoka maturing from a skinny girl to Aayla-type(?) For sure these changes will affect the minifigs, so probably we'll get a new hairpiece for Anakin in the future.
  7. This makes me appreciate your UCS MOC much better. This folding mechanism is what makes these rather "dumb and ineffective" BDs somehow special. How I wish the BD MFs can fold the same way.
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks wolfwing! Regarding your question, it will depend on your specific interest. Do you have a particular theme you would like to build on? Or you just want regular lego parts in general? If you want just the parts, then City or creator sets are highly recommended, so are bulk purchases. If you have a specific creation that you would like to do you might want to also try the piece-by-piece purchase in bricklink (highly tedious work, but economical piece-wise). Or you could just do the normal thing and just buy sets off the store shelves and start building your base from there.
  9. Thanks for the review JD. Speaking as a non-HP fan, this relatively small set is a great way to get a good selection of HP figs, most especially Harry, which I currently don't have, so picking this one up might be a good deal since I've missed all past HP sets. Since this one comes in a separate plastic bag, does this mean it's "China-made"? Like the Buzz Lightyear and some specialized TS figs.
  10. I agree with the building photos, it really helps a lot for people to appreciate more the creation. I'm on the same boat as you that a good MOC presentation should be comprehensive and complete, with reasonable amounts of photos to showcase the details of the MOC. I think we share the same principle in MOCing (though yours are way better then mine). Bricklink is also my bestfriend in my MOCs, as I rarely have excess parts from sets. Heck, my MOC collection might be even larger than my set ones. Anyway, pls. keep continuing making these amazing creations of yours. You're doing a great service to the LSW community.
  11. What impresses me most about this MOC is you managed to make an already great-looking creation into an even better one. The use of the the dark green arches made it perfect IMO. The finished product is really deserving of the UCS tag. Magnificent job as usual cavegod! Pls. don't stop making these wonderful UCS creations. Just a quick question: Even if this is UCS-scale, how close is this to minifig-scale? Because from the looks of it, it might be near MF-scale the way I see it.
  12. These football decals look actually much better when sported by minifigs! Thanks for taking the time and sharing these FixBayonets.
  13. WOW, as in totally Wow, you have done it again Sir Anio! The sheer amount of greeble details are just amazing, I could just imagine how much time, effort, and 'resources you've put to come up with this truly masterful creation. Impressive job as always! Your collection of 'superships' are looking great.
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks Gianluca! Your Piaggio Ape creation is really unique and interesting, it's the first time I've seen one. Well, enjoy the site.
  15. That's the 10212 Imperial Shuttle - "Gone in less than five minutes".
  16. Yes Chris McVeigh's photography skills are indeed exemplary. I'm sorry to point this out, but isn't the second photo non-SWish already? <no disrespect intended>
  17. If I were in your position and I had the 'resources' to get it at that time, I would definitely have grabbed one, I wouldn't need to see a review.
  18. Nice find Superkalle! That's just hilarious! So I would assume the horse's eyes were either 'shopped or custom decals, and the tail was (blasphemously) chopped off to get the desired shot. But I guess, the end product justifies the means.
  19. Great news, thanks for sharing. I, for one, have been waiting for the ARC Troopers to make their appearance in the CW series. This may not be Fordo's ARC troops, but this is the closest thing yet we're going to see in the series. Probably this will be the episode which the trailers have shown an ARC captain briefing his troops. Can't wait to finally see this episode, hope it doesn't disappoint us. I also noticed, if ever this will be the first two epis (of the two-part season premiere), it's great to know their putting the spotlight once more on the clones (based on the title) and not on the usual suspect (jedi) and last season's 'stars' (bounty hunters). The show is titled Clone Wars afterall, and it's always a good thing to know more about the men in the frontlines.
  20. It's good to know that even the most vile of gangsters find time to R & R (even though they still all look creepy even when 'relaxing'). Galing master shifu!
  21. Nice and simple build FROGG. I like how you used the two shades of green for the leaves and the uneven surface of the tree bark. The whole build maybe simple, but it is easily recognizable and beautiful in its simple state. Nice job!
  22. Silly me, my eyes have failed me. That is indeed not a hat, but the build of it resembles one and still makes up for a good tail tip.
  23. At first I wondered why you built the roof using plates instead of the conventional slopes, but the subsequent photos revealed the answer. The opening roof is a very clever idea, as well as the functional garage door. The build of the house is pretty basic, nice and simple as I would call it. Just a small nitpick, you migt want to brush off the dirt on the roof for a better presentation.
  24. Wow, this has got to be the most clever use of the simple lego chair that I've ever seen. And the great thing about this is you managed to get the desired effect - a very smooth curved body finish usually achieved by the conventional use of curved slopes and tiles. The overall design is great, with the right amount of details and effective black-red color scheme. Impressive work Tervlon!
  25. That's a great entry Blackice! I particularly love the overall shape of the spacecraft, with the bent cockpit head and double wings at each side. The black with red highlights really give the ship a very menacing look. I also like how you used the curved trans-clear window piece for the cockpit. Best of luck in the contest! BTW, the outside shot of the spacecraft adds a nice touch to the bounty-hunter-on-a-strange planet effect. Good job!
