It was Anakin, and not Obi, that was trapped with Mace in the CW episode R2 Come Home. But I certainly agree with you that Obi's red Delta 7B would have been a better set than Mace's JSF. Anyways, the only bright side about this set is the tactical droid and the new astromech.

Darn it! Philius had a perfect Round 1! He successfully parried my 3 attacks and correctly hit me with his only 2 attacks. Great luck Flitwick! Hope I'll be as lucky in the next round. DS already sent, awaiting yours Prof. I don't think the spaces will work. You know what I do? I put underscores and color it as white so it looks like spaces. Try that if you want, but it is still ok since there are results afterall.

Uhmm, I don't think so. The dark red parts are kinda spot-on, except for the front part (should be in the blaster thingy). And the only purple part is the side prints of the wings. Below is the ref. photo, left one (sorry to keep posting this up, just wanted to compare it to the real thing). ----------- I know it's still preliminary, but I have a lot of issues with the box art of this set - there are a lot of bare spots on the box art, the ground setting is a bit bland and boring (not much firepower effects), and the battle scene looks really weird - why in the world is a Delta 7B fighting with two measly STAPs and a tactical droid (battling now eh?) on a speeder on the ground? I know these are minor issues but I hope they somehow fix some of these, seriously.

So who's it gonna be Comm. Fox, duel with tin7 or cralegoboy? I can adjudicate once you've chosen your opponent.

I actually asked this question since I remembered you saying that you'll have a new spell by your third win, so I checked out and tried to clarify this matter. Thanks for the clarification ADHO15. Well, I guess you have to beat more of us students, cralegoboy, to get your badly wanted new spell.

Considering Eurobricks is one, if not the largest, AFOL community around, I'm pretty sure TLG takes into account all the suggested ideas we throw at this forum. Personally, I would have preferred Mace's purple Eta-2 or Kit Fisto's Delta 7-B (which is waaay better-looking than Mace's), but since it's already in the works, I guess we just have to 'welcome' it with open arms.

Aww man, it's Mace's Delta 7B, I was really hoping for the Eta-2.. As much as I love JSFs, this is an automatic pass for me since I already have mine. I'm just gonna get the astromech and the tactical droid from BL. Actually this Delta 7-B does look exactly like the one in the CW series. Those sticker prints are supposed to represent the line designs on the body surface of the JSF, which cannot be achieved in brickbuild. But still, remove those darn stickers and you'd still end up with the bare white JSF, which looks a lot cleaner and better IMO.

Oh and BTW, we have a new classmate from Ravenclaw, Jin Chang from master customizer tin7. The character look really 'cool', maybe someone can duel our new friend.

That's what I think too, since levelling up in WD is much harder than in JD. We just need an official confirmation from pedro or ADHO15.

Great review as always WhiteFang! I'm quite surprised by the majorly negative reaction on this set. While I think it's not spectacular, but it is a pretty decent representation of the Hogwarts Express. One should not expect super accurate models in Lego sets due to the piece/part count-to-price limitation. (This is also the case in SW sets). Besides, that's where modding comes in. Despite what other people think, this is the perfect opportunity for those who might've missed the previous version of this train to get theirs.
