Great work on this MOC puriri! I really like how you did Set's tomb with that neat black Egyptian idol above (forgot the proper term). Nice work also on the collapsable roof.

KielDaMan's Custom Star Wars Minifigures
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks Baylego! I actually want to refrain myself from doing sharpie, I know water slide decals are much better, but I'll get there soon. Do you mean she's not feeling well? (Joke!) I didn't change the headgear since her new horns are just slightly longer. Maybe I'll change it when it becomes 'Shaak-Ti long'. Thanks for the comments darth yogi! (See my reply above regarding the sharpie). I do sharpie mostly when I'm in a hurry to finish up a certain custom minifig. When I have the patience to do water-slide decals I hope my customs will improve. -
Spray/Brush Painting Lego - How?
XimenaPaulina replied to Joey Lock's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Just a simple reminder, I only do spray painting to lego as a last resort, especially when the part I need is not available in a certain lego color. Rule of thumb is, if you can get the parts from BL (and have the patience to wait for it), then I recommend getting the parts first before resorting to spray painting. Anyway, thanks for the kind comment Isaac! No I don't use a primer. Just clean and dry the lego piece before spray painting. Thanks for the comment Marceyh! Like what I've said before if you can buy the pieces you want, I recommend building using a purist approach. But if you want to somehow make use of your 'excess' other-colored pieces, then you might give spray painting a chance. The only tricky part is getting the right color shade of a spray paint that will match your existing grey pieces. Regarding if the color of the parts matter, it doesn't really matter what color it is as long as you apply the right amount of coating to fully cover the piece. Obviously, applying a thin coat will produce a distinct difference between a spray-painted black piece with a white piece. So the trick is spraying the right amount of paint just enough to fully cover the piece and not too much to 'enlarge' its thickness. -
[MOC] Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors - Armed Force

I'm not familiar with the cartoon, but I think you did a pretty good job on this monster vehicle. Any reference photo of the real vehicle for comparison purposes? -
I really liked the way how you expanded your Winter Village set Cwetqo! Adding the snow baseplate plus some additional neat details like the ice-skating sheet, water fountain, brick-built christmas tree really improves the WV a hundred times better. Great work on this!

Very interesting design for a VV TheWarden! The way you achieved the assymetric shape and the SNOT build is really quite amazing. Plus some pretty unique details like the rainbow light collectors and those trans-clear tubes and pieces really accentuate the whole ship. Great job on this one!

Great job on this Medieval bakery RobinBobinTheGreat! I really like the textured walls and outside pavements that you've made. The furnace is nicely-built too. Just very well done overall.

MOC: Adventure Airstrip

Very nice build TheBrickster, first time I've seen a PQ MOC. Good job on this airplane hangar, the wooden exterior finish really fits well the theme. Nice use of that windmill blade too. Can't wait to see some photos of the interior. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yup it can be used that way, though I have a feeling we'll get the American football player soon in the next series, since it's quite obvious there's always at least one sports minifig in each series. -

Thanks for the lovely pic! Wow, gotta say these are all amazing, the hockey player, the lab. scientist, the punk rock star, frankenstein, haz mat suit guy... now I really have to get back at collecting these. -
I must say I really like the unique and unconventional design of this café, it looks very modern and artistic at the same time. Nice work too on the huge cup logo in the front. Great job overall aresze!

Thanks CF! Actually the next one is technically not a MOC, but you'll see what it is when the time comes to post it. -
Magnificent Family Home creation LuxorV! The sheer amount of details inside is just outstanding, it was truly very enjoyable seeing all the rooms of the house. The exterior design is very well done too, the use of that printed baseplate fits perfectly the green surroundings outside the house. Fabulous work overall!

Thanks for adjudicating The Talented Mr. Turkoglu. DS sent! PS: Sorry for an off-topic question, but I've been wanting to ask you this, is the Turkoglu surname based on the Turkish NBA player Hedo Turkoglu? -
CCCVIII preparing for war: war on the backbone of peasants
XimenaPaulina replied to turambar's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I thought this was already a nice entry seeing the first photo, but then it became even better with the underground details. The literal "War on the Backbone of Peasants" is very cleverly funny! Great job on this turambar! Good luck in the contest. -
Now that's much better, great work as always Derfel, it's nice to see once again your patented 'stacked round plate' wall details. And of course, the paddle wheel is very well done. Impressive work overall!

Wow, I'm very impressed with this brickbuilt lightsaber, especially since this is probably the first time I saw one. Very nice use of those chrome pieces, and it even has the crystal details inside. Very good job coming up with this brilliant and unique idea Courleciel!

Thanks for sharing these hi-res pics grogall! Yeah it's quite nice to see these new sets, but I'm still not that much interested with Ninjago. Except for a few new nice pieces, I still think it's a bit 'weirdly' done, which is understandable since this is definitely intended for kids and not for AFOLs. The flying dragon set looks quite good though.

Great build as always AC, I really like the flaming tar-filled moat, that's quite an interesting detail rarely seen in Castle MOCs. The serpent monster looks intimidating too, too bad it has to be cut off due to the area limitation. Best of luck in the contest!
