  1. Yeah, spray painting can be a pain in the gluteus maximus when done incorrectly. I do have some tips that I shared over at the MCW forum regarding spray painting lego pieces --> clickey. It might be useful to those who might want to try it.
  2. Looks like everyone is getting into the HP month fever eh? Pretty nice li'l vignette Masked! The textured wall looks good.
  3. Thanks Fugazi for the enlightenment! Now I know what Lego Cuusoo is all about. So this Shinkai 6500 is the first 'set' t be made from the Lego Cuusoo concept? Great job then by the Japanese for rallying 1,000+ pledges. Now it would be truly intersting to see if EB members could produce a set through this Lego Cuusoo.
  4. Slytherin Magus Carlos Peerce versus Ravenclaw Practitioner Walter Kovacs Round 2 Carlos Peerce l 4 __________________________Walter Kovacs l 2 Crucio! - 1____________________________________Mid - 0 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Low - 1 Expelliarmus! - 0_______________________________High - 0 High - 1______________________________________Low - 0 Low - 0 ______________________________________Crucio! - 1 Health: 3 (2)_________________________________Health: 0 Slytherin Magus Carlos Peerce can already taste the sweet taste of victory at the start of the second round, and he wastes no time by unleashing the Unforgiveable Cruciatus curse that gravely damages his Ravenclaw opponent. Down but not out, Walter manages to retaliate with a low spell that hits Carlos on the legs, to the surprise of the Magus. But the Slytherin has had enough, as Carlos picks apart the Practitioner by disarming Walter first with an Expelliarmus and then casts a head spell that knocks the Ravenclaw unconscious to the ground. Winner: Carlos Peerce Congratulations CallMePie, impressive duelling as always. Sorry Walter, better luck next time. Update your character profiles now.
  5. This is quite interesting, this is actually the first time I've heard of country-exclusive limited edition 'sets'. How come only Japan has this and not the other countries? (especially the more prominent ones). Just curious.
  6. Hi andibandit and welcome to Eurobricks! I agree on your small space issue as I currently experience the same. I think that's always a target of every AFOL to have a room dedicated to their Lego stuff. Well, I hope you find a bigger place soon. Enjoy the site and see you around!
  7. Thanks General! I'll try to have some more custom figs soon. Thanks Doc! Yeah I agree it's a good thing that they finally dressed up Ahsoka in a more 'kid-friendly' attire. Thanks Oky! It is you who I have to thank since you were the one who 'introduced' me to Keelyvine. And I also got the idea from you to use Poison Ivy's face for Reus.
  8. Quite a nice work on the center fireplace inside. Just a question though, is the grainy-ness of the first photo intentional? For a snowing effect I assume? Anyway, good job on this and best of luck in the contest soundwave_sw!
  9. You're welcome. Your work more than justifies those words. I really admire your decal-making, and as a newbie in designing decals I'll try my best to reach the same level as your works. May I ask what type of software are you using? (if it's not a 'trade secret' of yours ). Right now I'm juggling between the use of the crude but easy MS Word and the more professional but quite challenging Photoshop. I've heard of Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and Freeware Draw, but haven't tried them yet.
  10. Hi Capt. Dan, I have done some work on custom ARC troopers before. Here are the links: Muunilinst 10 ARC Troopers by KielDaMan KielDaMan's Custom Star Wars Figures Some Samples: There are also other notable customizers who have done considerable work on custom clones, like brickplace custom, darth yogi, The_Customizer. They maybe able to help you also if you need additional references. If you need any help just tell me Ill try to help the best way I can. Hope that helps!
  11. Excellent work on the exterior design lightningtiger! I really like the white tile detailing on the side walls. I assume this is based on a real AUS PO? Lookin' forward for the completion of this one.
  12. I haven't seen the movie yet so I'm not familiar with the scene, but I must say the flock of canaries are really cleverly done. The facial expression of the characters are perfect for the scene too. Good job on this HP MOC Oky!
  13. Yup, that's just computer graphics for better presentation of the collectible minifigs. But now that you've mentioned it, it would actually be cool if somehow real minifigs can be posed that way. Though I know it's highly unlikely TLG will change the classic design of the minifigure, but hey, we can always hope for the best right?
  14. Very nice additional builds DHCP! Great work on the makeshift Psychiatric Booth and Snoopy's snowy doghouse, but where's Snoopy?
  15. This is one big bada$$ monster machine alright, I just love its overall massiveness and that huge claw arm is very well done. The skeleton in front is a nice creepy detail too, a reminder of what lies ahead for those foolish enough to face this monster machine. Excellent work ComputerBug!
  16. Slytherin Magus Carlos Peerce versus Ravenclaw Practitioner Walter Kovacs Round 1 Carlos Peerce l 5 __________________________Walter Kovacs l 5 Expelliarmus! - 0_______________________________Mid - 0 Low - 1 ______________________________________Mid - 0 Crucio! - 1____________________________________High - 0 Mid - 0_______________________________________Crucio! - 1 High - 1 _____________________________________Low - 0 Health: 4____________________________________Health: 2 Slytherin Magus Carlos Peerce has returned to Hogwarts after a brief vacation to take on Ravenclaw Practitioner Walter Kovacs. Not feeling 'rusty' after some time-off duelling, Carlos starts the festivities by quickly disarming Walter with an Expelliarmus. With his opponent losing his wand, the Slytherin sweeps the Ravenclaw off his feet with a low spell. Carlos continues his aggressive start, unleashing a powerful Crucio that stuns the grounded Practitioner. Looking to bury his rival early, Carlos aims to target the Ravenclaw's body, but Walter, in one swift move, miraculously recovers his wand and casts a Cruciatus curse that hits the Slytherin. The Magus though retaliates with a fury, casting a high-arching spell that hits Walter in the head. Carlos' fiery start has left Walter on the ropes. Will the Ravenclaw recover in the next round? Or will Carlos end this duel quickly? Send in your Round 2 DS when ready.
  17. Good news for you, Ms. Fabray ain't Death-Eater yet, she's still 2 wins away (though it has been tough recently with a pair of losses from Naturally Talented Maguses). I believe CMP is 3 4 wins away from Death-eater.
  18. Welcome to Eurobricks Rainwind! Here's a link to the Member's Guideline. As fas as signatures are concerned, I believe you have to reach Vassal rank first (10 posts and up) before you could set-up your sig. Well, I hope you enjoy the site. See you around!
  19. Great work Dave! Like prateek, I really like the wall details and the clinging plants you've put in there - really gives the whole build a very nice effect. Though I'm still figuring out how you did the wall elements with those gaps in the middle(?). Very nice customization of the aliens too, especially the head 'Squidman' and the white alien with the CW pilot face.
  20. Looks really good! It's a wonder how few pieces can turn out into a simple but effective build with just a bit of imagination. Good job on this one DHCP1121! Question though, that is a whip piece right?
  21. Great batch of custom X-Men characters tin7! Lots of great details to point out - Magneto's double cape, Rogue's painted hairpiece, Cyclops' visor, and that oh-so-clever use of that 'cord tie' for Nightcrawler's tail. As always, the torso decals are very well-designed, I particularly like the women's, nice job achieving the curvy look.
  22. Oh sorry, well that's the non-HP fan in me I guess. It's just that tin7 has been known making quality custom decals that's almost as good as TLG's so sometimes it's quite hard to tell the difference.
  23. I haven't adjudicated for a while so send your DSs my way and I'd gladly do it for you guys.
  24. So we do have a HP month (there you go Oky , wish granted ), I knew that new banner isn't there for nothing. Though I'm not a HP fan, it's nice to see another themed month with lots of activities for the members to participate. Great job organizing these Hinck and the rest of the EB staff!
  25. Ah, sorry I got quite confused by the S2 Pharoah and the S3 Mummy.
