Oh...TROOPS Man...that's old...but still funny as hell *vader*
-
I am not going to call this China man a liar but...
Deinonychus replied to kenji's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Gee, thanks for making me feel old as dirt since LEGO only started making Minifigs within my lifetime :-P and with sites like ebay and Bricklink it's totally possible ;-) -
:-D Okay sure, I'll get right on that ;-)
-
Yeah...Hasbro would pitch a fit... I'm thinking these may have some small build-a-figure thing each like a Crab Droid or a Clone speeder bike or something and just a couple Minifigs...hope I'm wrong though *y*

All other new 2007 sets (including new theme)
Deinonychus replied to sam89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Aw man, I hope Aqua Raiders sucks because the last thing I need is another theme to collect :-D I don't notice any Batman though...that's good and bad ;-) -
With great power comes great responsibility...and the ability to use to moderator interface anywhere on the board at will *skull*

A while back I alerted my favorite online retailer about these and he managed to list some in his store.... http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product...960&mode=retail But...that's a little rich for my blood :-P

That's an Invision Board's way of saying : "There's nothing new since the last time you clicked the VIEW NEW POSTS button...quit bugging me!" Usually if I hit that too many times by mistake before I was done reading through the new posts I just go to the bottom of the forum and click the link for TODAYs ACTIVE TOPICS...that list works pretty good as well *y*

hell I know I don't have room for it, but that's never stopped me before X-D

...wow...I never thought that my sour, jaded self would be the positive one I really like it. A UCS Boeing 787...that's awesome! I'll have something huge and non-Star Wars to assemble later this year now that it looks like Megabloks has decided to practicly abandon the Pro-Builder series. Now that I think of it...I'm glad the rest of you seem to hate it...just ensures it'll be in stock when I go to order it :-P Thank you LEGO...I still love you even if nobody else does

I dunno if their 2007 stuff is ready for the "public" yet. We usually don't roll across leaked pictures for those until the Fall at the earliest...usually winter. But yeah, they could have thrown down with more "Late 2006" stuff like the new Vikings and some Star Wars.
-
Nope, they're only releasing the X-wing and the 10175 UCS TIE Advanced. that's what I meant ;-)
-
It looks more like a combined model then something new to me. I found this http://minami.typepad.com/blogcabin/2006/0...govanforce.html I think it may be the result of some LEGO Japan contest or something. Not positive, but I'm almost certain it's not a new set...it's a combination of the Grand Titan and Stealth Hunter sets.

Yeah...seriously here people...who honestly believes that the price on the shelf is what that set is going to sell for? Has nobody ever seen something on the wrong part of the shelf before :-P It looks pretty much along the lines of the other two X-wing sets which were around $40 US if I'm remembering correctly. Those sets had the little pilot tram and Yoda's Hut included respectivly and it appears as if the secondary piece has just been replaced with more Minifigs. Personally I'd rather have more Minifigs, even if they are ones I already have, then not-too exciting secondary pieces. And if the set isn't different enough for you or you feel like it's not a good value then just don't friggin buy it! I think it's great LEGO is changing it up a bit instead of reissuing the older sets again. It keeps the set fresh while at the same time keeps a very popular vehicle on the shelves. (Have you seen what the other two releases go for online these days?) Little kids will love it! and that's who it's really for...little kids...not full-grown men living in their parents' basements surrounded by dozens of little bins with LEGO bricks seperated out by type and color who spend hours online bitching about how LEGO is ripping them off and who don't know what it's like to kiss a girl. As LEGO fans we're lucky. I've seen many examples where LEGO listens to the adult fans and takes steps to cater to our wants. You have no idea what it's like to be patronized and looked down upon as a collector until you deal with Hasbro. Compared to them LEGO is like a loyal girlfriend almost. And besides...LEGO is reportedly releaseing sets this September...so there's more to come, and thusly another chnce to be impressed

Wow...normally that statement would make me shiver with dread...but I gotta agree this time :-D

:-D I know a place where we could get some of those minted

No, war in itself is not funny. But unless you find ways to try and make light of situations as they come in this world, the despair and terror of reality will eat you up from the inside out and make you a miserable, quivering person filled with fear and with a serious void of hope. To that end I made a harmless joke about a recent collectors situation and included a reference from real life. If that makes me offensive then so be it. Besides, I've found from experience online that anything I would have said seriously about the situation would have been found to be exponentially more offensive by the majority of the community members so I chose the comedic route to chime in on. I see now that even that was a mistake and if anyone needs me I'll just be back over here in another part of the forum playing with little plastic interlocking bricks

Hezbollah crashed the hasbrotoyshop.com servers yesterday morning at 8:59 AM EDT and then stole all 900 of the SDCC Limited Edition Nemesis Prime figures... What a bunch of jerks.

Heh...seems the image for what was assumed to be the combiner set has been corrected :-D

Yeah, the really big stuff usually comes forth on Friday and Saturday...so here's to hoping *y*

Hey everyone The first images from preview night of the San Diego Comic-Con International are starting to crop-up online. Just letting you night-owls and early risers know to be on the lookout, this is new LEGO stuff we've been waiting for! -------------------------------------------- The '06 Comic Con Index Rebelscum's galleries: * Exo Force, Bionicle & Batman '06 Line (and more pics of Gotham MOC) + cool statues * Preview Night (SW, Spongebob '06 lines + Batman Gotham MOC) Cool Batman pics (no new sets but great Gotham MOCs) Batman LEGO Comic Con exclusive

I've noticed Megabloks is very careful with licences...at least in the US. The 3 Pokemon sets tanked here, so none of the stuff that's out in Japan now will make it to the US, although the collectable Brickemon figures are brilliant. The Star Trek Enterprise set also went down in flames. Megabloks was trying to get a little of that Star Wars magic and floated the Enterprise past builders, and nobody bit. I got mine for $15 marked down from $35. I hate Star Trek but couldn't resist a spaceship model that size...and it really is a well designed and nice piece...but the market just isn't there...and Star Trek doesn't have that rabid collectors base Star Wars has...and it sucks :-P So I'm thinking Megabloks may try this Gundam thing outwith those first two sets to begin with and then see how sales go. It's totally possible those will be the only two we ever see.
