AS-27 Escort Shuttle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr AS-27 Escort Shuttle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr AS-27 Escort Shuttle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The '27 was first commissioned for the wealthy gas traders of Saturn at the turn of the century, but has seen widespread use in a number of areas since. These traders were highly prized targets of kidnappers and pirates throughout the Sol System and beyond, and soon realised that if they failed to travel well armed, they might as well not travel at all. In that vein, the '27 was designed and put into production by the military arm of Lockheed-Franklin. With a thick, duranium armoured hide and three (one heavy dorsal, two underslung medium) plasma cannons, it was at first deemed too well armed for civilian use. A couple of bribes later, and the AS-27 was rolled out and bought in droves by wealthy VIPs, traders, governments and NGOs. It has since, of course, made it's way into more unscrupulous hands and has been used as a boarding craft, gunship and loot-boat. Length: 39m Crew: 2. Passengers: 25, or 12 armoured marines. Armament: 1 x Heavy Plasma Cannon (dorsal). 2 x Medium Plasma turrets. Computer: MS2700H (under licence)

SoNE Free Build - A Rebel Leaving Corellia
TenorPenny replied to MKJoshA's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
The ship is terrific. I like it's rusty, rough-and-ready look. -
I think seeing from a 3/4 angle would really help. The Officer obscures your character, otherwise..

Black Belle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr Black Belle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The 'Belle is a privateer gunship with an immediately noticable paintjob. That being said, stealth is not the ship's strong suit. With two giant engine inlets and variable weapon loadout, the Belle - and it's female crew - elicit laughs at first, but they don't last long.

SONE (free build) Imperial Tie flight sim time!
TenorPenny replied to Fuppylodders's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Frankly, the movement features for the pilots would be verging on pointless, but it looks damned cool..! -
You got me. I was hoping to at least have a few comments in place before someone noticed..!

Not a fan of that sentinel at all. It lacks any of the old-school feel of the originals, and looks kinda i-Robot-y..? Although with the amount of fictional robots around I guess there was always a risk.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
TenorPenny replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Disney have made plenty of poor decisions before. They cancelled potentially the best animated version of a comic book character (in my opinion) to make the vastly inferior USM, so they clearly believe in it. Plus it's syndicated on their own channels, something they have also shown belief in. Time will tell, of course, but I think they will make more USM sets before they go all out for a film they don't own. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
TenorPenny replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I politely disagree. I think Disney would take it as a slight if Lego were to discontinue a theme they fully own for one they only have merch rights on. As stated by other people, there are plenty of 'USM' versions of characters who can be produced and promoted, who feature in several episodes as opposed to one movie. It's more likely Lego would think about copying the Dark Knight Rises format and make maybe one set 'inspired' by the new film, if anything. The Rhino Vs. Spiderman or somesuch. -
I think (as usual) the level of cynicism is predictably high. Lego is pretty famous for making superhero sets involving two opposing vehicles. A good guy car Vs. a bad guy car is not out of left field. I think both rides feature some terrific SNOT work compared to some of the original Batman sets *and* you get a Flash..!

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
TenorPenny replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the likelihood of a Spiderman movie set is pretty low, given TLG are already: A) Running with the Disney-Cartoon-Terriblness and B) Not confirmed to be working on the tie-in to a Sony flick, anyway, unless I'm mistaken. -
Vertical ships are always neat. This one does not disappoint.

Lovely greebles on the engine block.
