  1. You custom minifigure guys just make me sick......with envy. WOW I am so jealous of that drummer I have ordered my Sgt.'s to shoot him on sit if ever we meet on the field of battle just out of spite. If I can't have him no one will. Awesome soldiers!
  2. Congratulations on a really nice MOC I like this a lot. It has a good scale and symetry to it. They way it opens up right doen the middle surprised me. I was hoping it had an interior but the way you did it was very cool. The blue tudor in the back is also very nice. It an amazing castle. The only thing that just doesn't work for me is the chimney. It really great but it just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the design in my eye it jumps out at me...but you did a great job building it none the less and it is a unique detail.
  3. I could go along with that as long as we recognize Redbeard was born first by a minute.
  4. I myself like to drop hints about MOC's I am working on. I don't really know why but it is fun for me. Maybe it helps keep me motivated. I don't really like to post WIP pictures because the pictures themselves are a lot of work for me but I have found a lot of people do, especially when it comes to ship building...I wonder why that is about ships inparticular. I have found others who seem to like to hold on to their MOC as a secret and then post the final. How do you handle this and why?
  5. A quick question. Will I need to resize pictures or will the site do that automatically? Update...its a slow process but I am going through a few pages of the site a day and have found many amazing ships from the past and am trying to identify some of the closeup pictures I think are interesting building technic ideas and any conversation about building techniques.
  6. Michael Jackson - Now that he died today the music is everywhere.
  7. I don't know about fault but we are guilty of being awsome! I wouldn't call what Bluecoats do defending themselves...its more like a futile attempt at self preservation. Bluecoats are so full of megablocks you couldn't give them away on BL!
  8. That's very nice looking. I wouldn't mind taking a nap there right about now.
  9. I have mixed emotions on SNOT but I think this little VIG would benefit from some SNOT and maybe a small wave or two lapping at the rocks to give the scene a little motion.
  10. My experience is that some will and some wont waive the minimum. I agree with Green Hair on the shipping I hate that. I am waiting for PAB parts for the Capstan Inn right now (hopefully nearly completed) and so I unexpectedly started building the St. Elizabeth Parish Church last night and I had to order bricks today on BL from like 6 different vendors...stupid shipping costs!
  11. I think the girls white hair peice with pig tails on the side sells for like $25 bucks...most peices are pretty common but if you have a decent size collection 30-40 lbs you can just sell it unsorted on craigslist and get $200 or so if it includes some popular themes and save yourself a huge headache trying to part out a smaller size collection.
  12. She looks beautiful. I love the cabins and the detail you are putting in.
  13. That's easy....Echos of the Napoleonic wars mate! Plus when two soldeirs wear different uniforms and no other soldiers exist then they naturally must be enemies because...well...they're soldiers and that's why soldiers exist...to fight enemy soldiers...or in our case insult and humiliate them
  14. Thanks - Honored to have a title...Now I feel the pressure to deliver something good I subscribe to the same Management style. I got it. I'll start digging into it tomorrow. In the mean time I've been giving some thought into how I want to organize it. Rather than go year by year like some of the indexes seem to work (or periods of time. I'd like to organize around parts of the ship (ie. bow, stern, tumbble home, rigging, decks and internal support, hulls, masts, etc.) If you all don't mind just listing the types of ships sections you be interested in seeing that would be great so I don't overlook anything as I am going through. I'll be looking for close up images but I also think in many cases it will be important to include the text that descibes the technique if available. Also if any of our master ship builders wants to share some new secret technique they have been holding onto now would be a great time. Will I/we be able to update the index in the future adding new techniques to the individual ship sections. For example, if I put the index together and next month a new technic for hulls comes out can I add it to the previous hulls sections post or would it be a new post. I ask because it seems like a lot of the indexes are organized based on type of MOC and time period it was created in (Forts March 15 2009 - June 24 2009). Does this question make sense? Thanks for all the help.
  15. Join? You mean your efforts to Tuskenize the world? It seems like those bandages would be uncomfortable and your face would get all sweaty and gross. I don't think my wife would let me be a Tusken Raider. Maybe though if I could wear a REDCOAT!
  16. You don't look like any Redcoat or Bluecoat I've ever seen! Must be a Pirate spy.
  17. OK - then I will officially volunteer for the assignment and any links from others would be fantastic.
  18. Well you know we are all a bunch of pirates at heart so following rules isn't exactely in our nature! Thanks for the new topic by the way! I think it will prove to be entertaining.... Just like this first post that shows what appears to the bluecoats to be a routed bunch of reds fleeing when really they are making it look that way to draw the blues into the trap the redcoats have waiting for them. Silly Bluecoats...that is one of the oldest military manuvers around.
  19. What would I need to do...comb through past ship posts?
  20. I know you want this ended so I appologize. Maybe as was suggested we should have a reply topic of Redcoats vs. Bluecoats were we can all post silly little MOC's and blather on as much as we want about the superiority of our chosen color? Kind like the old Spy vs. Spy comics.
  21. Yes I believe that is the Jolly Roger.
  22. Very cool. I like the all black but unfortunately that never photographs well. The cut of the sails is also very nice. Gives the ship a distinct look and feel. I like your out of the box approach to ship design. Very original.
  23. I'd be happy to assist but I fear I would be out of my element with web design and wouldn't know what they necessary planning would/should be.
  24. It is very beautiful. The design detail you put into it is very amazing. I would have looked to have seen this in person.
  25. Wow that is very impressive building style. What's it going to be?
