Thanks. No the prison is mostly for pirates we put the Bluecoats in the stew we feed them :pir-skull: Thanks. I don't have any plans to take it anywhere and I definately don't want to be on TV. I would like to do some brickfilms one day and I think it would make a great location. Cool. That sounds like a real good plan. I can't wait to see them. Space is always such a problem. My layout isn't have the size I'd like it to be but it'll have to do....for now. Good to hear from you...you been busy lately? The forum needs its black sheep!

Very nice. I really like the islanders MOC's we need more of that! What did you attach to the bottom of your bridge planks to keep them in place? Antenas?

MOC redesign of 6274 Caribbean Clipper
Commodore Hornbricker replied to hhcBrick's topic in Pirate MOCs
A really great MOD of a classic set. I love the clipper. -
Newer pirate sets, are they worth getting?
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Aquila D'oro's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well are you a Lego Pirates collector or aren't you? If you are then your answer should be clear. You get them now as you know you'll want them sooner or later and later will be more expensive and second hand. I'd recommend Soldier's Fort and Shipwreck Hideout (if you can still find one) for multiple copies. Best of luck -
MOC: Modular Apartment with Erdy Icecream chain shop

Great MOC. I really like how you did the windows. Very cool design with lots of detail. The roof was a nice touch as well. -
Is Steel Dragon doing all three Islander Village spaces #48? If not people may not realize two are still open. I thought that would be a popular one. I'll do one as a second when I am done if no one else wants to.

I like the overall design and colors you are using. You are right about the photo quality. It is hard to comment on the details without better pictures but the obvious ones seemed like nice and appropriate touches to your entry.

Well it has been a long while since I update this Fort Monck topic with some new pictures. I did a lot of work on Monck a couple months back but never took pictures. This is only the second time the fort has been assembled all together. It was so large it had to be built in sections and stored away....until now. There are lots of little details and changes to be made still and a few flaws that need correcting but these photos show all the main elelments of the fort completed including the Citadel, the prison, stables, treasury, Officers Quarters, the five main batteries, the main ramp, the main stairs. You get the idea. There are a few more pics on my MOC page. The Port of Brick Royal.

The Port of Brick Royal Project
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
You know how I like a lot of diversity with what I am working on I ment to have the ships on the table too but I forgot and they are sitting just out of sight. I wrestled with that idea for a while then figured the difference could really only be smaller than a plates width and I could never hope to be that acurate with the cutting and building of wood anyway. Also one of the struggles I am thinking on now is the fact that there are four individual tables (an 8'x8' table, two 4'x8' tables and one 4'x4' table. They all have there own wheeles and they need to be able to move so I can reach and work on various areas. This means that the tables can not be connected by Lego...they'll just have to look connected. It is going to make the major cliffs around the fort a real challenge I think and I am also thinking I went about six inches to high on the fort. Right now what I really need is a ton of blue and grey base plates. -
Do you find the Pirate Indexes useful?

The Port of Brick Royal Project
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
Thanks everyone. It was a real pain just building the darn things...mostly getting the material to the house as I drive a Prius Yeah more and more I think the CC buildings won't survive in the final version but for now they are occupying a necessary space to help me understand the scale of what I am trying to do and the relationships that exist between elements and structures. They also serve as a great source of inspiration to draw from to eventually build their replacements. Updates are always available Yes and I have two daughters. I'd have to say mixed On the one hand it keeps the Lego from building up in the house. On the other no parking in the garage. It works out. I support her in her interests and she in mine. Well that is a hard question to answer at the momement. The won't be a whole lot of nature and wide open spaces in what I am working on now. Mostly cliffs, bluffs, beaches and estuary. As you can see I have an even bigger vision than the Port of Brick Royal that I call Brickmacia (it would be 24'x16'). The red box is what I am focused on right now. One day the rest of the island will come to life as well...I hope. The second image gives you some idea of what I am thinking the layout will look like (obviously some things have changes like the fort is much larger). I'll have to take some more close ups of Monck in the next day or so. It's still a long way from finished. I don't think it will take much encouragement but you fantastic buildings have provided much inspiration -
After having spent the last year building various elements for the Port of Brick Royal and planning the foundation design, I finally got motivated enough to build the base foundation so I can start bringing it into reality. The port foundation is 12' x 12' with one large elevated section. I have placed a number of previous MOC's for the fort onto the foundation but they are not remotely close to being in there final positions. This will be the first of many many many updates to this project.

I'll sign-up for #25 the slum tenement.

A classic *&%^$OWL design. The hand roofs are always so cool. I'll have to try that some day. Very nice. I am going to have to go back and look at this again.

A funny looking map piece!
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Admiral Woodhouse's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'd strongly suggest you bath and consider brushing your teeth and changing your cloths. You are making Wouwie crazy . How are you guys going to drag this out all the way to April 1st? PS. I know I have seen this map someplace before...I just can't put my finger on it!?! -
Very cool and more than a little bit crazy but does she float?
-
A nice small scale fort scene. I like the use of lots of new parts from the soldiers fort. Looks good but who's side is the crocodile on?
-
I great little ship. I like the colors and the design. You just need to break up those flat areas in the front of and behind the cannons. You could easily add two more cannon ports or a second window on the stern.

Great looking ship with loads od details and a good color scheme. Nice job. She looks very piratical. -
It has a wonderful cartoon feel to it. I like it a lot, especially the giant plant.
