Great idea! I love it. Sniff...sniff... Hmmm smells like war on the horizon :-) -
Holy cheese John Silver. Fantastic! I am "inn" love with the entire MOC but the roof is amazing! Truely a great creation.

Thanks. I am pretty sure the sloop was the smallest three masted ship in the Royal Navy. Whether or not my version would look better with just two is another matter :-). I am going to build a brig and a couple bomb ketchs that will be two masts. The headrails are tricky on a little ship I tried two rows and it looked terrible any suggestions would be great -
I love it. It totally fits the plate very well. You have put a couple of my favorite classic sets together in a nice MOD. Excellent!

HMS Hotspur is a 14-gun Sloop of War and she is getting close to completion. She needs some detailing yet and rigging, etc. I'll probably set her aside for a while in favor of working on some other ships. I hope you like her. I think she has turned out rather nice! Congratulations! Thanks to everyone who volunteered! -
That was an epic sword fight. So what is the story all about?

Very nice. One of the most complete digital ships I have ever seen. It is going to look really good. I think the bow is just a little stuby you could probably make it at least a few studs longer. Seems like there are a lot of new members interested in building ships lately. Must be something in the water.

Welcome. It is customary to share a little about your lego interests. Hope you have fun here.

Good colors. Love the Oompa Loompas. They look like the spawn of Captain Green Hair. I guess he really has been just a tall Oompa Loompa all along Looks great though and really nice pictures!

WOW 25 years of collecting. You must have a great inventory. Do you MOC or collect and build sets? Congratulations on finally taking the plung into active membership.

Help with colour choice + name + bow spirit

Here is a link to a bunch of Bucentaure class french ships. Ship Names I like her in those colors but I really do think she needs a third color so she isn't so washed out. You could work some black in here and there maybe some at the bottom of the sides and some at or near the top to give it a little more contrast. I wouldn't think that replacing the white with black would look all that good. I see this ship with some type of angel masthead. -
It looks like you know a thing or two about bakeries! Great job. I like how you gave it some elevation and dimension with the stone stairs outside. One of the best so far.

Welcome to Classic-Pirates. While I cannot condone the use of imitation parts in this lovely ship I can honestly say it looks like you did a really nice job on what sounds like a limited parts budget...so great job. She really is very nice.

I am waiting for a few little parts for the Foudroyant and honestly I needed a break from her so last night I started working on the HMS Hotspur my 14-gun Sloop of War. This is the progress I made. Amazing how much faster the smaller ships are to make. Let me know what you think. -
Very cool ship. I am building one very similar named Le Reve which will also be a Frenchie. How many midsections did you use? I am using 3. Wonderful job. She is an instant classic.
-
I have had a lot of luck with cleaning sails in the dishwasher.
-
Yes I keep those middles too. They are shiny! This idea is a crazy waste of time but totally brilliant at the same time. One day when I have nothing to do and no energy to build I am goin to do this. I have loads but not all together neatly at the moment!

First, welcome and congratulations on your first post. You should go on over to the Eurobricks welcome forum and introduce yourself so we can get to know a little about you. I have not played that game. What is it? Black and yellow isn't my favorite either but it wad so important to the 18th century royal navy I had to do it. I do have some desire for dark red and tan dark green also and tan and medium blue and tan also. I hadn't that about dark tan as that's still pretty limited so if you want to be the first to tackle that I'd be interested in watching. I am goin to attempt a dark tan deck on an upcoming ship. Resolution is my favorite color scheme too. Thanks! -
I love it. The story of the house being a little neglected is great but the actual sculpting scene takes the cake. Great work.
-
Great work. You have an amazing amount going on in that small space. It looks terrific.

Thanks. Yeah I am still fooling around with a few details but I am going to try a first draft on the bow over the weekend and see how it looks. Hmmmm Nah. I think she is about maxed for the prefab hulls. I'll stick with my big fleet and big fort to protect me from any threat. Thanks and welcome aboard! Thanks. What you see in the picture is just the tip of the iceberge . Welcome aboard by the way! Thanks for your help. You were dead on about the colors. Thanks for pointing that out. I am still playing around with the colors on the upper end. It started out almost all yellow and that didn't look at all right and so I started adding more and more black. I am still working on it. It looks different now than in the pictures. I also have all the gun ports on on one side to get a better feel of the color. I didn't take pictures as I thought i'd wait until I have a working draft of the bow or stern in. Thanks. Yeah. One day I might break this ship down and rebuild from the waterline up. I had to add so many bricks to widen it off the prefabs I don't really think it would take that many more bricks to just get ride of them. I have done what I can to keep the decks as wide as possible but I have to admit it is frustrating not having say 10 more studs. -
Cool. You did a really great job MODing all the sets you have and then incorporating them into one castle. I like it. My only question is where's the Quidich pitch?
