  1. WOW! What a wonderful entry! Your "brick" work is amazing ! Every detail is perfect. Good luck with the contest.
  2. That is fantastic. Best of luck with it. My favorite view is of the back side. It looks wonderful. My first impression was that it was made of chocolate.
  3. Congratulations! Your port is a great success. It turned out very nice with lots of nice elements. I like all the space you left for the water. Great job.
  4. Yes but only behind the scenes
  5. I have a question for you that I didn't see as I read through this thread. How many mid hull sections did you use in her design? I have ships on the brain today...can't imagine why?
  6. Me too I am bumping this because I am feeling melancholy and she deserves it…and also because I am busy printing off pictures for reference material today. Oh and now I just noticed my super cool tags! Thanks guys...that cheers me up more than a little! Now on to brickling to order some parts for the fleet!
  7. Update day 1. Many beers drunk still experimenting with various brands but Fat Tire seems to be working best at the moment. Fortunately I am familiar with CGH's manual. I figured today since I am switching to ship building mode it's just as easy to rebuild 1 ship as it is to build several...well 8 to be exact. I laid the hulls today for 3 additional La Mort Royal class ships (5 mid sections) two more with 7 mid sections, one with 9 mid sections (on the new bow/stern) and one with 3 mid sections on the old smaller hulls and I am goind to order parts for a couple more of those little guys. I have a lot of parts though not what you'd call well sorted but a did manage to get them all laid out and rounded as the guide calls for with a few modifications for the larger ships. I'll post pictures as I get the chance. As bad as La Mort Royal is the new ships have a few more build sessions before they will be caught up to her level and then they can all go forward together.
  8. I think the sails and rigging is just barely visible in the top right corner. It looks like it's missing a piece or two but with all the cloth and ropes and the fact the sails and rigging are light and were on top helped protect them. Ofcourse she'll keep her blue flags!...
  9. Well that's a fair point, but I thought she'd make a great prize of war for the redcoats...not kindeling. Yes she did arrive in such small pieces. I actually put a few pieces back together before the pictures. It must have been just hammered at least once.
  10. I like your idea! You packed it well but it has a huge gash in the box. Nothing could have protected it from that! She will feel the wind again...eventually.
  11. After having recently purchased Captain Green Hair's famous ship La Mort Royal, it recently arrived here on the Pacific Coast in California after having traveled half way around the world. Unfortunately, like so many great ships before her she suffered greatly on her journey. Only time will tell if the great ship can recover from her perilous voyage and be restored to her former glory. In the background of the second picture you can see the hole in the box that likely accounted for the great ships demise. Here she is in her former glory. and now....
  12. Fantastic! Best hospital I have ever seen. You have that classic old hospital look to it but my favorite part of this creation is the various sections of the building. Most of these old hospitals undergo many expansions and remodels over their lifetime which makes them look like strange buildings because you'd never set out to build a building like that from scratch. You captured that effect evolutionary aspect brilliantly. I really love the MOC
  13. Cool. I am a big Indy fan also. Nice MOC. I like the way you incorporated a couple of your own heads into the MOC.
  14. Your MOC looks great. I also would like to see pictures to get a better look at all the details. The video is cool to see it actually working but the music just doesn't work at all with your castle theme.
  15. Wow. Your town looks like a very hectic and fast paced kind of place. I really like it. It is very nice to see people getting ready for the holidays. A bit of bad luck for the fires of hell to open up right in front of the toy shop. Hopefully your Public Works crews will get that cleaned up soon without racking up too much OT so retail sales don't tank in your town during the holiday shopping season. Otherwise, your City may have to cut critical emergency services and lay off police and firefighters in the new year or consider raising taxes which NOBODY likes. I'd recommend declaring a state of emergency which includes City finances.
  16. You could put a little christmas tree over where the winged chicken/dragon thing is
  17. Nice job!....Like that would ever happen
  18. Great. You managed to do a nice combination of classic pirates with the new pirates all wraped up in one much more complete fort. I love forts. They are so much better than ships. They hardly ever sink or get lost
  19. Good job. I wouldn't want to live there. It looks all jacked up.
  20. I am opening my copy up with my two daughters day by day also! We are loving it!
  21. That was kind of fun...Bah Humbug!
  22. They look really great!
  23. Nice review but this just seems weird to me?
  24. WOW! As always your MOC has inspired admiration and envy for your creative ability! I love your many roof techniques...they are daring and inventive. All the wonderful details and interesting shapes and angles that you have created throughout are fantastic. The oversized pully has to be the stand out for me in this MOC. I will be "borrowing" that idea in the future. If I were a king I would have to appoint you as the royal builder. Your skills are so impressive.
  25. I think it is outstanding. I wish I owned this set. I imagine if you are a big fan of this color this would be an ultimate must have. Its one of those sets that will probably come back eventually.
