  1. This set doesn't seem like a good deal for $100. From the instruction booklets, I can see that all that is included are 3 cars, probably worth about $5, $10, and $20 each. Also, it looks like the things in the garage are: a lift a green () crate for recycling a security center with control panels and a drink dispenser three oil cans a satellite dish a hook two cupboards The minifigure heads also are just the usual generic ones. Not that much stuff for $100, if you ask me...
  2. Actually, there's only 24 days, not 25. I'm hoping that the remaining days have some good accessories in them, like some gold pieces or a treasure chest, as I don't have any of them yet.
  3. Thanks for the amazing review of this new set, svelte_corps! I really like all of the good pieces in this set (the new minifigs, the fezzes, and everything else!). It also has a huge amount of play features for a $40 set. If I have some extra money to spend on LEGO, I'll be sure to get this set. I voted outstanding for this. Oh and by the way, I think that you put one of the windscreens for one of the boats too far foward; I think that it's supposed to be one stud back.
  4. Great work on Adam and Jamie. Mythbusters is one of my favorite TV shows. Too bad there's no LEGO beret...
  5. KimT, you also spelled "Dropship" wrong for the link on the first page to LEGO S@H for the "Imperial Dropshio with AT-OT".
  6. Did you get anything LEGO related on your trip?
  7. Well, it might be available on LEGO S@H.
  8. This pirate advent calendar is great! I only hope that it's going to be available in the US. If not, I can predict that LEGO will lose over $1,000,000... It's the same for me! The only sets that I got were the smallest three, so I'm excited that you can get all of the expensive minifigures for only around $30!
  9. Since I bought three sets at the same time, my first sets are Soldier's Arsenal, Pirate Survival, and Cannon Battle. They are all great small sets.
  10. Yeah, there's been a set in which I couldn't stop thinking of it. The Hoth Rebel Base, for one example. When it was re-released, I wanted it so badly, but then it was discontinued before I could get it for Christmas, so I got really sad for a day or so. That didn't last long, since even though I wanted it, I thought it was a rip-off. Also, it didn't include a Tauntaun, which I wanted. Anyways, I don't care about the set any more, since there's going to be a Echo Base set! The same went for the ISD when it was on sale for $60 on Black Friday. I woke up late, then found out that Target had already sold out. Well, now, if I want a set that badly, I can just not buy some sets for a while, then get it. I'm planning on spending around $300 or so this year, much more than last year (around $70).
  11. VBBN, it's not only you. I also think that it seems too thin to fit a USB drive.
  12. Thanks. I need to find a way to fix the cargo loading doors and entrance later. I fixed the location of the video, thanks for pointing that out. The reason it was there was because I normally had 4 videos, but I don't know what happened to one. The missing video was supposed to show that the control panels were attached by a jumper brick, so it could easily be removed.
  13. I, like Millacol, would like to see a minifig scaled Gryffindor Tower. A highly detailed common room would be great, if there were all of the details mentioned in the books: a fireplace, some comfy chairs that Harry, Ron, and Hermione always sit on, a notice board, and that hole for the picture frame. I would also like to see some detailed dormitories.
  14. Thanks. I'll clean the lens, thanks for telling me about that.
  15. Hello everyone! I'm Unit 314, or as everyone likes to call me, Pi. I've only been a member of the Imperial army for three months, but guess what, I've been promoted! Yup, I've been awarded command of a squadron, the 314th Squadron. Also, I've been given my own customized Imperial Landing Craft! I'll give you a full tour of it, starting from the outside. Okay, first, lets go to the cockpit. Hi there, Pi. Hello. Why are our chat colors the same? I dunno, probably because we're wearing the same color armor. Oh, okay. Next, let's go to these side guns. These guns can rotate 360 degrees, and can stay in place at any direction. Here's a video of it, thanks to the hand of God ( ): Here's the other side: This side has a hole in it, which I will explain later. Next, we'll go to the back. There is this mechanism that you can pull out to load up some cargo. Here it is pulled out: Here are the holes in which you can load up some cargo: Here it is in place: Okay, we're done with the exterior. Now, we go into the interior! This is the entrance and exit. You swing this part out, then you knock on the door. Someone on the inside then opens the door. However, if you're an enemy, the people on the inside can push a button to swing the platform that you're on to the right, so that a gun points at you. Yes, I know the entrance is a bit cramped: I need to get it fixed later... Welcome. Hi there. I'll go up here, so you can have more room. Thanks. Ok, so here is the interior. I'll show you guys each place separately. First off, you can push this button to open and close the door: Opened... ...closed. Next off, we have these two storage spaces for two blaster rifles: As you have seen, the one on the right serves a dual purpose. There are two locations for sandtroopers to fire at enemies at the back: Can you stay where you are while I go outside to take a picture? Ok, sure. Thanks. This is where the sandtrooper's gun points out, to fire at things behind us while at flight. Lets go back inside... Excuse, me, can you go out of your seat for a moment? Sure...I have nothing better to do... Okay... Above the sandtroopers' seats, there are two rifles (note that the technic pins are the only pieces that weren't from this set, but since I use them in the unmodded version, I decided to use them here). These rifles can be pulled out without pulling out the holding mechanism, as seen in this second video, courtesy of the hand of God: Next, we'll visit the stormtrooper's control units: Can you move back a bit? You're sucking up all my air. Whoops, sorry. He just grumpy because has to sit on the floor, and all he gets to use is a trans-red cheese slope. However, this stormtrooper is a higher rank, so he gets this: Yeah, he gets a cool trans-green hologram screen, as well as a cheese slope. Here's the other sandtrooper's place: Hello, are you there? zzz...... Hmm...looks like he fell asleep on the job. I'll have to demote him later... And now, we have my control center. Mine is much larger than the others, because I have to do a lot of things: I have two cheese slopes, and five trans-orange studs. They can lift out for repairs, as seen in this picture: My job in the ship is to control the side guns, and to launch remote-controlled rockets. Here is the remote rocket section: You just have to put the trans-green cone on the cylinders, like so: And we have the final demonstration by the hand of god on how this mechanism works: Here's a bird's eye view: Oh, and I almost forgot about the bottom view: Enjoy this picture, because I had to rip off the top wing and get the pilot to flip the whole ship over. Here's the crew, including me: Extra parts that were taken out of the original Landing Craft: Oops, looks like we just landed on a rebel trooper: Party! Okay, I hope you guys enjoyed my tour. Note that all the pieces, except for two technic pins, were from the 7659 Imperial Landing Craft set. Any suggestions to make this better?
  16. Really? At my Target, it was $3.99 USD.
  17. Hi everyone. A few weeks ago, I made an assassin droid using parts (including some extras) from the Assassin Droids Battle Pack. I know, it looks a bit like the normal ones, but I just wanted to share it with you guys. Also, my pictures are a bit blurry, but that's because there wasn't much sunlight yesterday, when I was taking pictures. Here it is: Front view: It can hold a maximum of 7 guns. Side view: Back view: You can also turn the shoulders: You can fold the front arms up for storage or deactivation: Here's how the gun is made: Here's how each arm is made: And finally, here it is riding a horse: So, what do you guys think?
  18. KimT, there are two battle droids and one droid pilot in the Separatist's Shuttle, not three battle droids. Also, the Ewoks in The Battle of Endor aren't generic Ewoks; they're Chief Chirpa, Paploo, and Wicket. Also, it looks like the DS trooper is being called an Imperial Trooper. I hope I helped!
  19. Can you please resize the pictures? They're extremely huge. Even though I'm not into Bionicle, I really like what you made. All those different colors of red and orange make this look cool.
  20. An alien? I hope that it's something good, and something that you can get if you pay like $50 or so, not $100.
  21. Yes, but if the minifigures were worthless, Echo Base would be a rip off set... By the way, I mentioned you in my signature.
  22. No, he's 14. Just look at his profile page. I'm 12. I've never used LEGO in any school projects yet, mainly because I don't have enough minifigs or parts. And I just got back into liking LEGO 1-2 years ago.
  23. Sorry. So, does anyone think that the Hyena Droid Bomber is better than other $20 sets (like Echo Base, since it's only a trench thing... )? I still really wish that LEGO would remake this to make it more accurate to the real thing... Hmm...I'm almost a knight...
  24. Oh...so the $2 only has some parts? That means you're practically paying for the instructions? Whoops... But I don't think that anyone's going to buy the MISB one because there's a new and improved 2009 AAT!
  25. Oh...now I understand what your comment meant.
