[Review] 8038 - The Battle of Endor
ILikePi replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for this review of this amazing set. Almost everything about this set is good. The minifigures are awesome. The speeder bikes are cool. The Endor bunker looks really good. The AT-ST looks much better than the old version (2007). The glider and catapult look well built, too. I also like how four flick-fire missile pieces were used (one for the staff, three for the AT-ST), but only one can actually flick-fire. I will definitely get this set. -
Thanks for the video. This set doesn't seem as good as I thought when I first saw it. The whole merry go round looks good, but the fact that it's just placed on a plain baseplate with no foliage or anything makes the set pretty bad. There's also barely a place to line up, when most amusement parks have lines that are over 100 feet long. And Dr. Brick, congratulations on being the one to build the set. What material is the canvas on top? The usual LEGO cape fabric or some other fabric? Are there any interesting pieces (chrome, metallic, new, etc.)?

LEGO is making so many games this year.

UK Chrome Vader @TRU ! + set update
ILikePi replied to The Rancor's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I think that it's actually a good deal. The last time I checked BrickLink (a few hours ago), the price of the chrome Vaders were about $30 each. If you buy 30 Euros in stuff, you get an item worth about 22 Euros for free. -
UK Chrome Vader @TRU ! + set update
ILikePi replied to The Rancor's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Everyone loves chrome stuff and cool minifigs. I also don't have a Vader minifigure... I wish that this promotion would be available in ALL TRU stores. -
I also don't like how the SP III line has almost no weapons. All there is are those flick-fire missile "rocket launchers". Do the larger sets have any weapons? EDIT: I just found out that the impulse set has a weapon...

Thanks for taking the time to review this set. After reading this, I've decided that I won't be getting this set (even though I wasn't going to get this set before). The safe does look too bulky. It would have been better if it was made of one big piece that has thinner walls, so that it'll be smaller and hold more gold at the same time.

UK Chrome Vader @TRU ! + set update
ILikePi replied to The Rancor's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I wish I could like teleport to the U.K. TRU for one hour or something so I could get a Chrome Vader. I really want to get one, but I probably won't. -
Thanks for the review. I wish I could've gotten this set when it was on sale for around $6. There's lots of cheese slopes, and some cool designs, too. By the way, the set costs $12.99 when it was released, not $10. I voted above average, since each car nowadays costs $5.

Wow, thanks for finding that set, baby! It looks like a really good set for Christmas. I hope that it will be released in the U.S., cost around $60 (like what The Brothers Brick said), and that we will see more of these types of sets in the future.

I can't wait to see your reviews of the Tank Droid and Echo Base (I already saw the Battle of Endor one ). Your other reviews are really good.

I think that AwesomeStar means the green string. Great work, by the way.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
ILikePi replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice army, legopiotre! I've only been purchasing LEGO sets since 2006-2007, so my armies are only made up of all six battle packs and an Imperial Landing Craft, for now at least... -
You guys will also be seeing a review of the Separatist's Shuttle soon. Someone has a review of it in the Reviewer's Academy.

Space Police available on ToysRus.com
ILikePi replied to Patriot720's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Ooh, Titanium Command Rig is also available online at TRU. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3504352 It's actually not overpriced! -
Thanks for the review! Even though this set is pretty overpriced, I want it even more now after reading your review. The only thing you might want to do is resize the pictures. They're way too huge. And why did you have to kill the box of a new, not-yet-released set?
-
Wow, where did you find them all? At a yard sale or something? That's a really good deal, considering that 6 of the sets are really old ones. Were they all MISB?

The Guggenheim Museum Architecture set is going to be $40 US, according to this link provided by Eilif (in the BSTF forum): http://www.brickworld.us/view/preorder/ Just scroll down until you see the set. EDIT: There's also a huge (1280 x 967) picture of the set: http://www.brickworld.us/_images/_preorder...nheim-large.png

Lego Convention Exclusive Sets & T-Shirts

According to that link, the Guggenheim Museum Architecture set costs $40 USD... -
Thanks for the review. For a $6 (it's $6, TRU just overprices sets) set, it doesn't seem that good when compared to $6 sets like Cannon Battle. It's just a small vehicle and two minifigures, while Cannon Battle is a wall, a cannon, and two minifigures. Cannon Battle also has no stickers and still looks great, while this set doesn't look that good without stickers. The only good thing in this set (to me at least) are the minifigures and the $100 bill. There's no accessories (except for the money), unlike Cannon Battle. EDIT: I'll probably still get this set.

Nice MOC! It really looks like Mater. However, I bet that the Cars theme cars will just be a one piece mold. Here's a picture of Mater from the movie:
