Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Clone OPatra replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
The superman hair was also not available (not even listed I think?) when I did my order a few weeks ago. Great to see that show up too. Thanks! -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
Clone OPatra replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Replying to myself for the benefit of others, I asked our Australian Certified Stores and they said they're hoping to have the series in on Feb 8th. Super fun waiting for these over a month after much the rest of the world, but I don't mind too much. I just want to get them eventually! -

Oh well, I don't know why I bothered to say that when I don't actually follow any of these things. Thank you for educating me! -

Her head is the only unique minifigure piece available from that set. The set has a build issue where two parts can't fully connect the way the instructions have them, but it doesn't effect the set's overall stability or being able to complete it. Brickset documented it: https://brickset.com/article/68334/possible-design-flaw-found-in-2022-super-heroes-set -

Sounds familiar. Star.... Trek? That is way too weird that Klarion was mentioned and now isn't. Very odd indeed. Then again, it would be very odd to get him because he's obscure. He's like The LEGO Batman Movie CMF series level of obscure. -

Wow, surprised to see this on there and available. I wouldn't have even checked again for it. Thanks for the heads up! -

Ah yes you're right, 2017 was the last time we saw USD $25. Even when it's looked to have been the perfect price point sometimes since, LEGO goes with $20 or $30 instead. Alas. -

Oh that's good(ish) to hear! I haven't been paying close attention. And if we get really lucky, this set will be in stock during one of the other retailers' 25% off sales. But surely that'd be dreamin again. -

Any of our fine Aussies find these in the wild yet? They're still listed as "coming soon on 1 February 2022" on LEGO.com, but Feb 1st has come and gone. -

Well, this Dark Trooper set is pretty hyped, and it's not dead last! Damn. Some of the retailers like Kmart that set prices below RRP will have it for less though, but now this means that even at those ones it probably won't be below $45 or $40. LEGO did used to do $25 in the Star Wars line, but maybe that was as long as 10 years ago now. -
They are supposedly here in Australia as well, including a new figure skater that's actually more elaborate than the CMF one, with dual moulded legs. Here they cost AUD $20 though, which is the same as FOUR CMF, so it is really a bad deal.

Yeah I actually can't believe it hasn't leaked by now, but then again LEGO does come down very hard on LAN members that leak, and if they've only sent the set to German ones then it would be a narrower pool to look through for a culprit if a leak did occur. Then again, it's also ridiculous they haven't just revealed the set given it should be based on something everyone has seen! -
Ages have never been great in Stat Wars since George screwed up everyone's age in the prequels. For Boba it didn't matter of course because we never saw him, but now they've gone and messed up his age in the Disney era. If Boba ages normally and is about 10 in AotC, that would make him about 36 when we see him in ESB, so at most in his 40s in Book of Boba Fett if it's only five or so years after Return of the Jedi, which I think it is (although that also doesn't add up for this show - how long was he in the Sarlaac? Presumably not long. So he was with the Tuskens for five years? Not conveyed well). Temuera Morrison is only 61 and looks pretty good, so he could potentially play 40s, but they've gone and written Boba as pudgy and slow, so he doesn't seem like 40s for someone ruthless and lithe like he should be and was in the OT. George similarly messed up the ages of characters, most noticeably Obi-Wan who based on his prequels age is only in his 50s in ANH but looks 70s. I guess the sand aged him. Maybe. Overall I've found the show pretty horrendous and boring on many levels. Most egregious though is how they've taken a character whose one thing that stuck in people's minds was looking cool and being/acting cutthroat, and completely stripping him of both those things. His origin in AotC might be silly, but Clone Wars actually took that and built in a believable direction, showing how an angry kid might fall in with bounty hunters and become a top, cold-blooded bounty hunter himself. Why make a Boba Fett show if you're just going to make him soft, diplomatic and do nothing cool whatsoever? Oh, I know why, cash grab.

Love that they're using a VIDIYO strap from the BeatBoxes as the rope on the handle, from the looks of things. It looks good for what it is, but not for me. This is another entry into the line of "sets for fans of X property that we want to rope back into LEGO", rather than being for people who are LEGO fans first, in my opinion. -

It's definitely 100% a cape of the spongey, soft type. In the review it does indeed look mainly like the same old cut. It might be ever so slightly different, but the box art is misleading. -

Good catch - it definitely looks new! I thought it might even be an annoying one hole Cape from one of the pictures, but I think it is indeed two holes with a new cut. -

Do you mean literally covered, as in the guy's hand is covering it in the JB Spielwaren video? Because I see something, but I can't tell what it is. The hallway looks pretty good (though LOTS of stickers to get right), but $30/30€ (/$45 AUD) for 166 pieces! Come on.... What happened to the lovely $25 USD price point. That I could sort of stomach. Still a fun set with good Minifigure selection, and something different. -
Fennec is older than Boba In the Bad Batch she shows up and is already an adult in full badass bounty hunter mode. Boba would've been a teen at the same time.

But why wasn't it like a regular beard+hair piece, that goes over a head and the eyes from the head show through? That's what I'm wondering, not why it wasn't a single head piece. -
I love a play on words turned into a full-fledged MOC. Very fun!

I don't think Invision allows anything quite that fancy as every member being able to choose whether or not they want Likes in their topic. -

I'm not sure that's totally true. I've been told before that once an order is listed as In Warehouse, it can't be changed or added to, and my recent orders changed to In Warehouse within like a day. However, that is about actually adding to an order, not combining multiple ones, so maybe it's different for combining. -
