  1. I did the exact same with the kittens and squirrels! For some reason it just didn't feel right to have only one of each squirrel colour. I had to have two of each.
  2. It does. But for fun I went on to the British site. I think the new system is already live there because it's called Pick and Build and they have Bestsellers and non Bestsellers, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I searched a couple of the Spidey & Friends sets. Not even the mid-legs I just recently bought showed up. I searched 80033 Evil Macaque's Mech. None of the cool Minifigure parts I recently bought showed up, with "show out of stock" ticked or not. In fact, clicking "show out of stock" hasn't made any difference on the sets I've searched so far. What gives? EDIT: ok I searched the Friends set 41699 and there are a couple of out of stock parts that show up, so that's cool, but the hat hair combo in that set that was available on B&P does not show up.
  3. Maybe it is and they have added it. People reported before that if something was out of stock, it no longer showed up on the system.
  4. Kathleen Kennedy said it'd be "the rematch of the century" Ewan McGregor said he and Hayden would "have another swing at each other". If that's a misdirection or they'll actually fight in a Clone Wars flashback, ok. But that's what they said. With a property like Star Wars, you need people at the top who know what they're doing or what they want to do even if they're not the creators on the ground. Seeing that the people at the top were content to put out the sequel trilogy, and the three live actions shows thus far, yeah I have real grounded reasons for being worried. Mando S1 was ok but it was structurally a complete wreck, and it got progressively worse with S2 and Book of Boba Fett. I know those were all the same creative teams and this isn't, but it speaks volumes that the people at the top haven't a clue. I hope to be proven wrong, but it's not like I'm being negative for negativity's sake, for my own part. I can't speak for anyone else.
  5. Pretty much every 2022 set has this. Some have just a circle on the progress bar instead of a character though.
  6. Cool, thanks for the link! And to be clear, I'm not all doom and gloom about the new system until I've tried it myself. There are positive aspects like orders qualifying for GWPs without having to add anything else to the cart, and searching sounds much better, so it's possible that in the long term this will be good. All I meant was that the old system, which was comfortable and familiar to me, is truly no more. There's a dark orange part (the beard) right next the nougat heads in my picture. They're a bit similar but also distinguishable.
  7. And not showing what's available for purchase at all if it's out of stock, which makes planning orders very very difficult. Users in Europe have already documented some of the issues, which seem quite annoying.
  8. I get why people are excited about this but I also don't. A rematch between Obi-Wan and Vader is the last thing I want to see, because it makes no sense. Just like the amount of times Obi-Wan and Anakin fought with Dooku in Clone Wars, or Obi-Wan fought with Grevious and they had to do a loooot of mental gymnastics to make the dialogue in RotS still make sense. The prequels themselves created enough continuity issues with the OT, but it felt acceptable that that was the last confrontation between Obi-Wan and Anakin before ANH. It also makes no sense for Vader / the Inquisitors to find out Obi-Wan is on Tatooine (and potentially even have interactions with Owen Lars), because then they would never let up with Tatooine. We'll have to decide in our heads that Vader only figured out Luke was his son once Luke was in his presence or something. But canonically with what we've already seen, it makes no sense. Those are baseline problems that had me worried before the trailer even released. Then the trailer focuses so much on Inquisitors and barely on Obi-Wan. Don't get me wrong, I like Inquisitors. I think they've been done pretty well thus far. But why not just make a show about Inquisitors hunting some other Jedi we don't know about, or some minor ones from the Prequels that we didn't see die? Why does our Obi-Wan show need to be about them, when really from everything we've seen before, it makes the most logical sense that Obi-Wan lied low on Tatooine keeping a very close watch on Luke for the entire 20 years between RotS and ANH? I would totally, honestly like an Obi-Wan show where the premise is him staying put on Tatooine, learning Jedi secrets by communing with Qui-Gon, and making sure no harm comes to Luke. Let's see Owen Lars being the semi-reluctant father figure, perhaps clashing with Obi-Wan about Luke's safety and upbringing to the point that Owen banishes Obi-Wan from the homestead, setting the status quo that we see in ANH. Let's see Obi-Wan go from where he was in RotS, probably traumatised but resolute, to the calm wise old sage that he becomes. Sprinkle in some flashbacks with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in their Clone Wars armory in live action - that will do for extra fan service. But all this Inquisitor, off-world action sh*t? Nah. None of the live action shows haven't told a coherent, well-paced story so far, and while this is a different creative team, the trailer makes me think this will be more of the same.
  9. It redirects to that page even through the Australian site now, so it appears the classic B&P era is well and truly over. Slightly regret not placing one last small order. Oh well.
  10. Oh you're quite right, thanks for pointing that out. I had only looked at the pictures on Instagram thus far, and the quality wasn't good enough to see the seams. I'll definitely be adding those to my running B&P want list!
  11. I was sure I'd seen that beanstalk before, but ultimately it does look different from the one introduced in Friends: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=16981&in=S Cool to have two different beanstalks now.
  12. I still wore the same sweaters when I was 13 and 15 (and some still fit me now). Why wouldn't Hermione? Would've been weirder if Hermione actually did wear Ginny's sweater, but in this case it was just LEGO not designing a new torso for her for the Diagon Alley set.
  13. It's Part ID 53126, new in dark brown in 41695 Pet Clinic.
  14. I think you mean part ID 81169, but yes it's the head of Macaque from set 80033. I got a bunch of stuff from that set: Macaque's scarf, torso and legs too, the head of his minions, and Sandy's head and beard.
  15. I was able to finally got my hands on these in Australia today, and WOW - great series! I mean, my mind was already made up, but having them actually in hand is something special. LEGO took all of the design progress they have been building up over the years and applied it thoroughly and sensibly throughout the series. I only got the five I most wanted, but they are truly excellent figures. Funny how the "Forest Elf" and Snow Warrior's hats have such similar properties. Textured rim, smooth domed top leading up to a little rounded point. Had to find some other pieces to differentiate. The rest were extremely easy: foal for the foal girl, three-leaved plant identified the bird watcher straight away, and the lute was easy for the Bard. I also felt lots of chillies and rubbish bins, so I could quickly pass on those.
  16. Double Post whoops. Here is my first 2022 order (dark orange squirrels were out of stock at the time).
  17. I hid some inappropriate posts that didn't belong on our forum. First of all, keep it to LEGO. Second of all, definitely keep out your fetishes. Please don't engage with that sort of post, people. Report and move on. Thanks.
  18. But it will happen if he isn't remade as a figure for the new show. Sellers definitely capitalise on interest due to new related properties.
  19. I know... I've been delinquent (aka busy). Hopefully tonight I'll snap some pictures. Weirdly, I got the invoice email for my January 24 order, but it was lower than the order total, and the order hadn't changed to Shipped. Now a day later I've gotten another invoice, just for one pack of the prepack Ninjago weapons (in titanium metallic), and the order has changed to Shipped. Strange.
  20. The Grand Inquisitor doesn't even look like himself or his species anymore, but in LEGO form that won't be noticeable. I hope he wears his helmet so LEGO had a reason to release that again too, but I kind of doubt it. Looking forward to seeing what LEGO does for this.
  21. I really can't believe they wouldn't make Shazam 2 sets. The first movie did well and was very kid friendly. If they don't, that's really the nail in the coffin of them caring about the DC theme!
  22. I'm leaning towards them being renders. I wouldn't have picked it up until the Landspeeder windscreen, which totally gives off render vibes. Even looking back at the other images of just the "force ghost" piece, including the one that's backlit, it's entirely possible for them to be pretty good renders.
  23. Telling someone you don't trust their taste is rude, especially when it's totally irrelevant. It's not like you were asking for his recommendation for anything anyway. You singled him out for an opinion that you disagreed with, as a springboard for your recency bias thing which pretty much nobody else engaged you in. And then you continued to argue with him when all he did was explain that that doesn't apply to his opinion. So you didn't just state that you didn't agree with his opinion. Any more discussion on this can be had in PMs or somewhere else. Moving on now.
  24. Also don't be rude to other people? People can have differing opinions, both differing from you and the "mainstream". It's possible for someone to dislike something you like. This is a LEGO discussion anyway, not a film discussion. Let's move back to LEGO please.
