  1. You forgot the Sarlaac. Next season is him riding the Sarlaac through space to find Ezra Bridger because "it's all connected".
  2. True but that's when they have done some things that are not truly in the zeitgeist. Sure there's always the random animated this or that for kids, but when they did that whole Justice League wave, there wasn't anything super popular going on necessarily. So, just like how the majority of Marvel's non film stuff is Spider-Man, it makes sense for the majority of DC's non film stuff to be Batman. Meanwhile, they haven't done bigger pushes of sets when there ARE popular properties either, like Shazam or Aquaman which both did very well. Over time, they don't even have data for how things are selling any more, since if they don't put out any non-Batmobile sets, there's no sales data to follow. It feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy. At the same time, they put out totally random esoteric sets to support The LEGO Batman Movie, and two Minifigure series stuffed with obscure characters, so when they claim they can't do anything but stock standard Batman it's not hard for fans to turn around and say they only can't do anything but stock standard Batman unless they wanted to. Just my two cynical cents.
  3. Up next on The Book of Boba Fett: Dak in Boba's bacta tank.
  4. Yeah, this is totally off topic now. This discussion needs to go in Special Themes or General LEGO Discussion until we know what the theme is, and where it belongs. It definitely doesn't belong here in the Avatar topic, nor in Licensed at all.
  5. If any uniformed students are to come, they'd be in the two Hogwarts sets. Harry and Hermione won't be in Hogwarts uniforms in the Sirius Escape set, but the Ginny/mystery fourth figure could be, and potentially the students in Dumbledore's Office could be. Personally I kind of doubt that they'll continue with the inaccurate Moments jumpers since they've mostly been sticking to accuracy in figure designs. The fact that last year's sets included full robes was a nice point of difference for people who have been buying the theme since 2018, but a mix would certainly be nice for people who have missed some of the jumpers. If you're buying on the secondary market anyway, why not buy whichever you prefer? I'd go with the accurate ones without badges personally, and they never even made a Hufflepuff jumper with a badge. I also don't think the change is really about money. The Moments sets are weird anyway, and it's a nostalgic callback to earlier on in the theme. It's not like when they update a Stormtrooper design, and now your new Stormtrooper doesn't fit in with your army of older ones. You could headcanon that some students have a housebadge on their jumper and some don't anyhow.
  6. Yeah, they've changed whole characters and things before between prelim and release. If it's really so difficult to determine which characters are included in the rough prelims that have been seen behind close doors, it's possible that even LEGO themselves were still deciding whether to make it OotP or DH at the time they made the prelim.
  7. Where did you find out this information I wonder? A film leak, perhaps? I don't know how many times I have to tell you, if you didn't find out the information in official press releases, trailers, or interviews with cast and crew, IT DOES NOT BELONG IN ANY OF OUR THREADS. When people through a question out there about an upcoming film, consider it might be more rhetorical. People don't necessarily want the ACTUAL answer that someone would only know if they read leaks. We'll all find out when the film comes out.
  8. Last year's sets already look inconsistent with each other IMO, which I don't want to get into too much because I feel like we've talked it to death, but at the same time, it is what it is. The only really consistent thing is that they are built on 8x8 or 8x16 modules, that are also of uniform heights, and that they use the grill plates for 8x8 floors (oh besides the Quidditch Lesson with one different section). Apart from that, it's a real smorgasbord of builds. What's more, only the Chamber of Secrets and Forbidden Corridor have rocky bases, so part of the castle is elevated on rocks while the rest isn't I guess. Still, I think it's a valid question. If they were already keen to produce a new Great Hall play model in the fourth year of the theme, they'll surely go for another one before too long, justifying yet another iteration of Hogwarts builds.
  9. My Jan 11 arrived. I'll get a picture together over the weekend, but I'm loving some of these new parts! I've noticed that the hairpieces designed for Friends, while they are now hard plastic and also designed to work with Minifigures, the hair line dips a bit low, definitely lower than hairpieces designed for minifigures. They still look good though. I also LOVE the head of the scientist from the rocket launch set. It was one that was available in Jan even though the set didn't actually release until later. Both expressions are so distinct and useful.
  10. Alright, it's veering off topic. And it's veering impolite, from one person in particular. But let me say, because I think it's important and does become relevant here, just because "things leak" doesn't mean you have to go read them. If you're someone that wants to know every plot point of an anticipated film before it comes out, then sure, in many instances you can go find that information. But for the general public, and even for engaged fans who are on the internet, they can be completely unaware of the leaks. Sure in the case of No Way Home you would probably have seen rumours that Andrew and Toby were in the movie, but Andrew kept getting asked questions about it for a year by mainstream talk show hosts. As for actual plot details and the circumstances of any character's involvement, you'd only know that if you went and sought out the information, or if some jerk spoiled it for you on a discussion forum where those spoilers don't belong. That's why we have our no spoiler policy, and even lock the threads ahead of certain major releases, because some people just can't keep it to themselves no matter how many times we tell them. Please don't respond to me here. Let's move along now.
  11. Have you checked the first post of this topic?
  12. The one from the new Spidey and Friends sets? Let's see a loot shot!
  13. I think you are looking at old Pick a Brick, and old Bricks & Pieces is still active in Belgium. When I go to Bricks and Pieces through the Australian region (my default), I still have to choose a country for where I'm ordering. Countries where the new B&P/PaB has rolled out no longer appear on that list (Germany and France for example), but Belgium is still on the list. Therefore I think what you're seeing looks limited because Pick a Brick was always way more limited than Bricks & Pieces.
  14. Griphook's from HP Series 2 went nearly as far I think. Agreed. I've only watched some of the films, none of the show, and I recognised her straight away. She is nowhere near as random as female Porky Pig, for instance.
  15. Yeah this is the case, and we have discussed it in the Disney Properties 2022 topic a bit. It's just totally weird, because why isn't it a beard+hair piece over a regular printed head, just like minifigures have? Anyway, is what it is. It is the first minidoll with more than printed facial hair as far as I know.
  16. Ohhhh myyy gooosh. I thought I was going to be able to skip this series like I skipped Looney Tunes, but they've reeled me in. Unlike the Looney Tunes with their boring prints, these have heaps of wonderful detailed prints. New banjo too... wow! And so many parts included with Animal! Unfortunately for my wallet, I love them.
  17. The sand Blue owl with spread wings hasn't popped up in the old B&P (still accessible in Australia). Not sure if it's on the new system.
  18. New parts are up! Here are a few: 80835 trunk top 38798 Moody hair (available for the first time) 80577 brown hair with yellow beanie 79730 door with flap hole now in purple 6392544 pearl gold 2x2 round with preapplied mirror sticker? 66695 leopard print 1x2 brick from Spice Girls 6382407 no house Hogwarts torso 16709 black short legs with dark grey tights 36994 long black hair with unprinted headband (originally from Incredibles) 73512 black cape (for a bad price) 18746 snowboard in dark green Unfortunately no new owl.
  19. No. The set inventories aren't even searchable usually until it has reached the release date in North America, or perhaps in Europe. I searched a couple of specific parts that are coming in new colours in the March sets (the door with animal flap hole from Home Alone, for instance) and the new colours also don't appear yet.
  20. Some of the examples you mentioned share the new trunk top mould for the classic treasure chest base. But I agree with what you mean. Besides a new werewolf head or multiple werewolf parts, we could see a Grim and a proper mould shared for Mrs Norris and Crookshanks.
  21. The Shang Chi set Battle at the Ancient Village didn't include any of the ancient village either.
  22. It could be a blink and you'll miss it background character though, or a piece of concept art that never makes it in.
  23. I literally made the same points. What I meant by a terrible commercial decision is that, if it didn't exist, people would have to drop the money on the larger set to get the characters. It's great for average consumers, who can now choose the cheaper option, but for LEGO they might be cannibalizing their own sales by providing a cheaper alternative.
  24. Yes!! I knew it reminded me of something, and I think that was it!
  25. That set is so weird and ridiculous. I love it. It's a terrible commerical decision, because like everyone is saying here, there's no "reason" to buy it. However, it's great to have a cheaper set with the two Thors and main villain on the market, as well as a fun goofy monster, for anyone who doesn't have the money for or interest in the larger set.
