  1. LEGO has covered nearly every possible vehicle in EpI, and multiple times at that. The Royal Starship is probably too weird and chrome-y to do. The only things that haven't been done, and seem like they could be, are a few different Flash speeder designs or at least an update, and a Droid Control Ship playset-style. They basically made a Gungan BP with the newer $25 Droid Carrier set.The MTT seems about due for a rerelease since it's been 7 years. It also makes sense since it sort of ties into the Clone Wars, which will still be lingering in children's minds. I wouldn't expect much else from EpI though, what with a rumored shifting focus towards OT material (plus all new things from Rebels and Ep7). Personally I'd love to see more different Podracers in the style of the newer set (which was so awesome), but this isn't the wishlist thread and I know more pods would've been a pipe dream even if more films weren't being made. Unless of course JJ Abrams throws in some Podracing, in which case, who knows.
  2. One thing's for sure: the movie's going to be a freaking three hour fight scene. Yay.........
  3. The figures in the episode are possibly too ugly to have sold, but are funnier in-episode because they are much more LEGO-y. I've read that part of the plot concerns Homer realizing that it's not quite right that they're living in a LEGO world, and the totally LEGO-fied figures help sell that. This is one case where the episode isn't just a glorified commercial for toys - the physical Simpsons MFs are tie-ins to the show at large, not this episode.
  4. Ah, I did read about that after my above post, but I still stand by my sentiment that 'Ideas' is an utterly bland name. They should've come up with something creative and catchy.
  5. The biggest change here seems to be the name (ok, the one year thing is actually the biggest change), and frankly the new name sucks. CUUSOO was weird and intriguing, and had a meaning that you had to look into to understand. It was just like the name 'LEGO' in fact; it was a distinctive name, and had meaning too. 'Ideas' is just bland and… bland. There's nothing catchy or interesting about the brand name 'Ideas' slapped on a box, no matter how nice the font/logo will be. Perhaps CUUSOO wasn't the best name because it looks impossible to pronounce for English speakers, but they should've come up with something cool and distinctive in the same vain as CUUSOO. 'Ideas' as a line name sucks.
  6. It seems these films are going the direction of having the actually important extra scene be just a minute into the credits, with the truly post-credits scene being fun but kind of useless. This was certainly the case in Thor 2, and really even Winter Soldier - the first scene actually tied into something coming up, whereas the scene at the very end didn't make much difference. I certainly don't mind this direction with the scenes. Who wants to sit all the way through the credits anyway with credits being so long? So it seems that ASM2 could be following that trend. Advertising for X-Men seems a bit silly and unnecessary on a Spider-Man movie, since they could just show a trailer before the film and get the same result. But at the same time, most people probably won't even see it since the majority leaves before the credits are over (at least in every theater I have ever been in). This way, the post-credits scene that the studio really wants the entire audience to see is at the start of the credits, and for those who sit all the way through, it's just a throwaway bonus. People who stay are probably already fans anyway.
  7. Roman Polanski still makes movies that still get released in the US, even though he cannot set foot in the country because he would be put in prison for rape of a minor. Woody Allen has been accused of child molestation as well. The studio is not going to do anything here, and I don't think it will affect the film or its reception in any tangible way.
  8. The white Ninja princess from Ninja led the red Ninjas, to my knowledge. Her dad was around too, but I think she was kind of the 'on the frontlines' leader.
  9. Don't forget Rex from Toy Story! He's a dino too.
  10. I'm sure Rebels is going to get its fair share of sets unless it somehow completely tanks, which I find unlikely. Clone Wars has a been a huge part if the Star Wars lineup since it started six years ago, and Rebels will likely be the same. It's going to be an exciting time for LEGO Star Wars what with new TV material and new film material.
  11. You've given me lovely images of an angry dad ripping into a LEGO set and tearing into all the bags in a rage as his child looks on in tears. Thank you for that.
  12. The sets you just described, iamste, sound incredibly dull, and I think that's telling with Cap: TWS. Sure, LEGO can make whatever set they want, but there's nothing in TWS that pops. Even the minifigures would be kind of grey and black overall. While it's a shame not to get the Winter Soldier himself for those who want him, tying into the film with the colorful Avengers Assemble sets was a great way to go. Thor: The Dark World, on the other hand, sadly could've spawned a few awesome sets. The designs of the Asgardian and Dark Elf vehicles are cool, and there are tons of characters in Thor that have awesome costumes that would translate into interesting minifigures. It's sad LEGO decided not to make a couple Thor sets, but I think keeping a couple boring grey 'computer thingy' sets from Cap out of the lineup was a good decision (but then LEGO went and made a couple stupid Spider-Man sets that really didn't need to exist…).
  13. Do you see how the Psyclone fig is wearing a backpack with twin rotors on it? Now look at the mech, and it's got feet and twin rotors? Pretty sure that's all it's talking about. No need to overthink this one too much. These final set pictures are action-y to the max. The HQ truck especially has so much going on on the front that it's like an assault on the eyes. That said, the Infearno set looks amazing, both for the vehicle and minifigures. It's great to see a creative, fresh, and very well-constructed-looking design. The Infearno figure himself also looks like a ton of fun.
  14. I don't know what trailers people have been watching, but Drax has always looked fairly grey to me. As some have said, there's no proper LEGO color for what he 'really' is, but I think grey was a good choice. Perhaps olive or sand green would've worked, but then he might have ended up looking way too green. Grey works for me.
  15. I completely agree with, I just didn't feel like saying anything. X-Men is my favorite Marvel comic group, and definitely want the official Cyclops and Storm, but it feels hard to want to shell out $50 just for that when the GotG sets look so awesome. The X-Jet just looks pretty bland, like a bunch of slopes, and the Sentinal is awful. I'd prefer a bigger, more complex Blackbird in the ilk of the Quinjet or Milano over this despite it surely costing more.
  16. It's still a big disappointment to me that they just threw in the Superheroes Batman without any changes. Batman in the film is so expressive, and it would've been nice to get a new head with two new expressions that better match the film. Seeing as there's only one new fig in the set anyway (JT), I don't see why LEGO wasted that chance. The dropship still looks awesome, but a new Batman would've been appreciated.
  17. We need another set to get Yondu and the Collector! Not really, though. Even if some things from the film never make it into a set, these are still a nice mix. Definitely better than either the IM3 or the Man of Steel waves since none of this stuff is redundant. The Metropolis Showdown and Mandarin Lawnmower were basically useless sets, whereas the smallest one of these actually looks cool and seems nice.
  18. I do feel like LEGO has reached and perhaps exceeded the breaking point on minifig details in some cased. The lines on some of these faces are just ridiculous and ugly, Luke most of all but also Veers and even Han to some degree. Beyond that, some of the leg printing here is pretty crazy - it's nice to finally get leg printing on Stortroopers, but do the Death Star Trooper and AT-AT pilot really need a few rumple lines on their legs? At least it doesn't look awful like the cheekbones, but it's still pretty over the top especially compared to other themes. Darth Vader also looks a bit too printed for my taste.
  19. Finished boxart of all the sets can be found here. Somebody will probably extract them and post them here soon. For now I love the multiple Luke and Hans going on in this pic, though cheekbone Luke still looks freaky and godawful.
  20. Thanks for the extra pictures! Drax's torso is too awesome with those little LEGO skulls! Gosh these minifigs all look fantastic, as do the sets. Here's hoping the Nova Corps guy is John C. Reilly's character so that we get an official John C. Reilly fig!
  21. Where are you finding the amazon.ca links with the additional pictures? Would you mind posting all of them? The UK links only have two pictures each. It looks to me like Groot has one gigantic moulded head/chest/back piece that gets plopped down on top of the build.
  22. Oh man, these sets are simply fantastic! The Milano already looked great from the outside, and seeing the huge detailed interior makes it even better! The colors really pop on the ship too, which I love. The other starfighter looks like a nice little design. The bad guy ship in that one is perhaps a little goofy since it's so small, but it's still not bad. The Knowhere escape set is the only one that doesn't really look like much, but it's still appealing due to the color scheme and of course the color scheme. Groot is a nice combination between huge mould and brick-built, and he's a lot more successful with the ball-joints than the upcoming Sentinal. Groot is way too big, perhaps, but his design is at least very cohesive and pleasant. All of these GotG sets look so darn appealing. I know it'd be great to get sets for every Marvel movie ever, but if LEGO can't do that, maybe they made the right choice with this one. I don't even know much about the movie or its lore, and I want all of these.
  23. I found it: https://www.youtube....?v=AtFLJhnDG98. Posted on April 1 and an obvious fake.
  24. Fun pictures! It's always a treat to see parts like these. I can point out that the trans-clear treasure chest appeared in sets though. It at least came in the original Hogwarts.
  25. Great trailer for Bob! It's a very smooth and clean model, which is quite pleasing. I do find that it's a bit too starkly white. Some signage would definitely help with that, or perhaps substituting a more vibrant color for the dark grey line that you have going around it. The shutters also look a bit ugly when closed since the backs of the pieces are exposed, but I can't see how you'd fix that and it's great the the shutters are fully functional.
