"What is your purpose here sir? I have dealt with you honestly and now you lie to me about starting up some tea shop and for what purpose, are you spies of the Temple? Some sort of fanatics for Mercutio, out to ruin me because I have achieved my sucess by my own hard work and not by offerings to your god?
  2. I believe you have yet to clarify your point about Commander Walters. Walters had yet to vote at this point, additionally I'm not a big fan of the "I can't put my finger on it exactly" which means you may be town and didn't spend the time going through the pages of posts Walters had made in order to find something concrete agianst him, but still want to appear active, or you are a scum who also didn't want to take the time to look through Walter's posts but still wants to appear town like by voicing a suspicion agianst the person who seemed to be on the chopping block at the time. Either way I find the comment unhelpful, this is day 2 here we've had plenty of discussion and we should be able to move a little away from the "gut feelings" mentality.
  3. Skrall takes a step back, he had faced down armies, chaos beasts, and all other manner of flora and fauna but the beast that stood before him burned an image in his brain that he would be hard pressed to forget. "'s 'bout time this thing came in handy." Skrall unshoulders his Hunter's Crossbow and let's loose a bolt at the Chimera from the back row.[/b] "Take care ya watch out for its breath, seems like it could freeze the nose off a Yeti." <Don't worry about it Vipera, now is the time ya've been waiting for friend, let us fight together fer the freedom of yer land and the retribution of yer people.> Battle Order: Cronk Skrall Thothwick Galen Isabella William Vipera
  4. Since it's been brought up a few times, I'll clarify my comment. 1. I'm stating that the only discussions/cases were about Tamamono and Darkdragon at the time, not that they were are only options as far as a lynch. 2. My accusation against Peanuts was based on my past experience playing as a scummy scum in a past performance, in that an accusation against someone for playing in the middle of the road is one that I've used in the past and I was recognizing it here. However I brought up that he had made his accusation during the Tamamono scuffle which would have been a dumb play for a scum. 3. The comment about Burbank was made before I realized the whole scenario was made by a practical joker (OoC: I missed the joke in the discussion topic) and hence tried to reconcile the event with the presence of a SK. Hopefully this makes things a little clearer.
  5. Thank you for the clarification, I think it's a little confusing that the doctor's name should be emboldened. Maybe he should stick to writing plays.
  6. Well wading through all of these conversations we have two cases it would seem before us. A case against Commander Watlers (Tamamono)and one against Lieutenant Daly (Darkdragon). As Chief Engineer Wilder (Peanuts) initially stated, Daly has been playing the middle road, speaking from past experience this is one of the foremost grasping accusations made by scum as the accused can't win no matter how they answer, believe me I've done it before. However if we are to assume Wilder is a scum trying to bring down a townie, we have to wonder why he would do so when the debate between Jones and Walters is going on. Also it may be worth noting that it looks like we may have a third killer on the loose who attempted to bring an end to the already deceased doctor Burbank during the day which seems more like a SK styled killing, unless of course there are two scum teams and one of them has a day kill. I'm going to read through a little more of the arguments a little more closely before further comments, though it would seem the scuffle between Lieutenant Jones and Commander Walters has calmed down a little bit.
  7. "Sounds like somethin' big is on it's way. Harkenshire take the potion and if you've got any consumables, I'd suggest usin' 'em, Galen the Fire Bomb goes to you. Metasimian, one of these Dragon's scales is for you." Skrall attempts to use the other Dragon Scale. <Got any suggestions Vipera?>
  8. If my memory serves me correctly I believe Thothwick is played as the british gentleman type rogue, though it is most seen in his mannerisms/wording instead of a particular accent.
  9. Alrighty so here's what we've got, Wright was probably vig killed, I don't see why a serial killer would want to kill him except to avoid revealing himself by choosing a different target. I have to agree that I believe it is a worse strategy to publicly announce what those among us who have power roles should do as that unfortunately gives the Purists an opportunity to foil them. For the time being the power roles will have to work in the dark and off of their best judgment unless they have someone they know they can trust and then start building up their group behind the scenes and hopefully we won't have to worry about any of those Purists converting anyone either. As far as the killing of Lieutenant Burbank, I'm sorry to say that it looks like the Purists didn't want someone of his expertise on board this ship, which if they were concerned about expertise we may have to ponder about why they might have chosen not to target other members of the ship.
  10. A member of the Town watch enters the shop. "I wondered if I would catch up with you folks here. Szalinski is up and about and was actually heading back to his machine. The clerics tried to stop him, but he wouldn't have anything to do with staying in bed. It's getting late, but I'm sure you'll probably want to speak with him, are you all finished here?"
  11. Thanks for the tie in Sandy I had to smile, I wish I had known the doctor was a vampire and I might have painted Victor and Victoria in a somewhat more favorable light, but it is what it is. Good job on both of your quests, I was thoroughly entertained by them both.
  12. "Chimera's will my ol' grandma's gout. No need Cronk, keep at the mutt. It sounds like somethin' big is comin' so if you're goin' to need consumables, take 'em now. Hey, ranger what does that special bomb of yers do?" Skrall takes aim with his Hunter's Crossbow at Claw from the back row. <Keep at the brute Vipera, we'll have them yet.> Battle Order: Cronk Skrall Vipera Thothwick William Isabella Galen
  13. I think we should remember that English is only being used out of convenience for the players, and not because Eubric belongs to an English speaking country in RL, thus their is no reason to expect that any other RL languages should exist in Heroica, the Shadeaux are based off of the French, they are not actually French.
  14. I fail to see the connections that make them both scummy bunk mates working together (unless of course there are indeed two scum factions, which would then make more sense), if from anything I've seen, they both seem like and pardon the term "noobish" townies, though I guess a "noobish" scum would act quite similar in their gameplay though I would expect them to have more coaching from the rest of their scum team. I'm not a fan of the "don't vote theory", but neither am I a fan of the "let's vote the most annoying/"noobish" individual out first" philosophy and I think some of you are getting a little cocky in our "good luck" in finding what we think may be our first Purist. While I thank you for your willingness to step forward as the leader Lieutenant Jones, I think it is way too early to have people start trusting you with their abilities. While I am quite convinced of your ability to head up such an organization for good, I am also quite convinced of your ability to possibly lead many people astray, time will tell in my opinion and as we all know, we shall hopefully all be further ahead in our goal than behind come tomorrow morning. Thank you by the way for utilizing the translater sir, as I earlier suspected that your wording might have been based more upon that factor rather than scummieness when I stated my initial suspision. With all that being said, we never learn anything if we don't lynch so here's my vote: Peter Robbins (KingoftheZempk).
  15. I will note that this is only my second post and I believe Lieutenant Hornby also occupies the position of having only chimed in once with his comment only stating the obvious, that of course we should be trying to find and lynch the Purists. Is there any reason in particular you decided to pick out Lieutenant Wright? I'm remembering a bit of my sophmore security class here, where they talked about how a bad guy is always having to refer to himself as on the good guy's team. If you're a Loyalist, there's no reason for you to refer to yourself as one, outside of being asked the direct question as to where your allegiance lays. I guess what I'm trying to say is that a Purist has to watch their words very carefully to make sure they sound like a Loyalist, a true Loyalist has no need to censor their speech they automatically associate themselves with the Loyalists group and can therefor use words like us, we, etc. because they have no reason to assume that someone would believe they are referring to the Purists. A Purist on the otherhand, unless they are very keen on this sociological inateness of how we refer to ourselves, is more than likely to clarify which group they belong to in a social setting where most of us already assume that when you say words such as, us, we, etc. you are refering to the Loyalist group. Basically, a townie doesn't need to refer to themselves as a townie. It's a symantics issue, but I guess to get to the point, I'm calling out my dear junior engineer on his wording.
  16. Heavens above the captain's dead. (Inspects the body) From my superior security training I propose that the weapon of choice was a rose bush! Therefor the murderer must be none other than the ship's gardener! (Looks around to blank stares) Well at least I have some good news, the treadmills are operational again. I find it somewhat odd and ironic that your first post referred to this group of purists as some long gone faction devoted to a dead religion, unless you are aware of something the rest of us don't know. Actually, baseless accusations are generally what get people's ire up, which can tend towards them letting something slip if they're trying to hide something. As always my theory, and I'm sure it coincides with most of you, is that the more people talk, the more chance there is of a slip up. It's like my galactic hockey coach once said, "The more times you shoot the biscuit, the more chance you have of it going in."
  17. Nur glances into the back of the storeroom but observes nothing but the foreman walking up and down the tables and every once and a while cracking his whip.
  18. The Rockling grabs a pair of scissors and after makin several gashes in the cloak he returns it to Nur, "There you are sir, spitting image of your old one." "My good barbarian, you've no idea the trouble it is to keeping one's business decisions and strategies private. You let the name Swisshopper out and people all over know you have the money to finance their exagurent costs. A bolt of fabric is sold for 300 gold to a Rockling down the street, they sell it for 400 here just because it's being sold to the ever wealthy 'Swisshopper'."
  19. "Cronk not know why Ranger William not heal himself, but Cronk will use healing staff on friend William from front row." "Go ahead and use that potion Galen on Vipera and Harkenshire while yer movin' quick like, use a potion on the dragon as well." <Hold tight Vipera, wait for the healing before you try attacking that hairy beast from the front though.> Battle Order: Cronk Galen William Vipera Skrall Isabella Thothwick
  20. After completing my security detail around the gym, I regret to inform you all that the treadmills are out of order, shut down for maintenance.
  21. "Correct. Let's just say, I've got ears for all the new business ventures in the city, I heard Szalinski was onto something big and I wanted to secure the funding for the idea first. You can always hire an expert in something you don't know anything about, but you can't fire a business partner."
  22. I'm not sure if Sandy has ever said anything specifically on this, but shield is always shield no matter what. Look at it this way, if a mage is using a spell instead of physically attacking and they roll shield, they still get a magic burst. Same with clerics, it doesn't matter if they're attacking or healing, a shield roll grants a miracle. So in a witch's case, even if they are healing, a shield roll grants a hex (or whatever it's being called these days).
  23. "Threatening a measly Sharkling who doesn't know the difference between capital and cattle, why in the world would I do that? As to my earlier inquiery and howe you wormed it out of Swifthorn's I can only guess, my intention was to beat the Szalinski to the market, but it appears Slasinski was talking to Swifthorn the day I went in and beat me to the punch it would seem. So I did the next best thing, invest in the gnome, then buy the invention off him later."
  24. Swisshopper answers in frustration. "Devega and I are the same person. There are you happy? I use the name whenever I don't want competition getting flustered about breaking into an industry. Now apart from lying to me, distracting my workers, and annoying my foreman, do you need anything else, or do I need to call the hired hands?"
  25. "We can hold 'em off ranger, down a potion if ya've got one, Cronk's better suited for these cursed bein's."
