Heroica RPG - Quest #30: Ambassadors to Dastan
Waterbrick Down replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
OoC: Just to bring you up to speed, all the bolded actions are final, so choose carefully. Glad to have you both back. Harkenshire and Arthur having seemed to renewed their energy, "Ah master Regulus, I see you've snapped out of what-ever spell ya seemed tied up in. As ya can see we're a bit busy keepin' all the guests of this fine establishment satisfied. Would ya mind accompanyin' the female Elven cleric and helpin' us out here in this corridor, we're about to get an influx of new comers. Puttin' it simply we're bein' attacked by a few different forces and we need to make sure Emperor Alandri, Serpentine, and Ms. Ella are kept safe." -
I guess since we have 8 spots, a Warden and Hunter combo would make a pretty sweet team. Powerful offense and defense in one mix. Throw in a super lucky stunning sorcerer and we'll be all set.
-
No Wardens with level 15 shields allowed.
-
Deal With Wren having so many people wanting to kill her, I don't see how Skrall's going to get his satisfaction, but if you're going to go, you might as go with a fond memory.
-
I know, he's not going for another quest or 2, but I don't think I'm going to go all the way to level 50. Like Pie said ealier, that'll take approximately 3-4 years and I'd rather not wait that long before trying out a new character.
-
Not at all Adam, we always encourage new players, I'm considering rerolling as a level 1 sometime in the near future possibly so it would be great to have another level 1 in the hall. If you've read the rules go ahead and put your character in your signature and introduce yourself in the Hall thread.

Skrall smiled as the female Elven Cleric joined them, "Glad ya could make it, there plenty fer all and I hear we're soon to be expectin' more guests this evening. Ya did bring the pot-roast with ya didn't ya?" Battle Order: Alexandre Nyx Luke Galen Skrall Denarri Nerwen Arthur Isabella Sarick Xander Atramor Tarn Count Knyghton Phil Cronk Thothwick William De'Kra -
Thank goodness for tree-stumps. Now that we at long last have a confirmed dead scum we can start making some progress. I've got hundreds of notes that have been waiting for someone to turn up scum, so I can at last start organizing them and have something solid. So we're either looking at from the scum's side a conversion or kill that was blocked/protected and apparently with a supposed vig, a block or protection on their side (assuming they chose to kill which at this stage of the game, I would think they'd have at least some suspects, it hasn't prevented them yet from killing during the earlier nights).

"I'm guessin' those siege ladders have probably been repelled by now, so we should only have to worry about the enemy tryin' to make their way from the ground floor. Nerwen, Thothwick, stick around and help Cronk finish off those chaps at the front entrance, we'll take care of those choas beasts later." Skrall drew back on his Hunter's Crossbow and fired a shot off at Russel from the back row. "We better drop these fellows quick, other wise we're going to have a mess of fresh troops down here to deal with soon," Skrall reflected. -

OoC: Actually I shot Russel with my Hunter's Crossbow, so he shouldn't be in the back row. Skrall listens as an explosion rocks the palace, "That can't be good. De'kra, stick to the back row. Arthur should remain behind and target one of those Lord Blacknord from the back row with darkness magic. Cronk I suggest you take on one of the remaining Chimera Guards. Luke go with Alexandre. Tarn, the guard fled and is no longer following you, keep going with Atramor. Isabella, the emperor hasn't joined us yet, I think you'd be much more suited to attacking that Imperial Guard D. Snakelin', go ahead and heal Xander up, he's going to need it." -

"Alexandre, have you and your Party move North and split those rebels up" OoC: Marking the favored should have trippled the damage done by Skrall, I believe. Also I would have thought that slick icy stairs might at least have made anyone traversing them take 2 turns to make it down them. -
Better yet, you get your spouse to join EB and you can both play during the honeymoon. I'm glad you're still interested in playing even though you keep on missing all these opportunities. Pandora and Rick, if the presentation/hosting skill is anywhere near the caliberer of IMHOTEP I'm sure this will be an amazing game to watch.

"That split is going to have to wait mate, the enemy is goin' to be upon them any minute now. If Flavius can hold off that group for a little longer, then they should fall to the North while you Tarn and Phil hold the great hall." I think we already went over this with Sir Gladius, even if you're undead you still take damage as a hero. Take Sorrow for an example.

I really like the classes Sandy, especially now that you've made a greater distinction between the Prophet and the Necromancer. I've just realized I've been role-playing Skrall into a Paragon class, but he won't be able to become one. Ah well guess it's time to reroll the character sheet. On a second note, if you have time, would you mind giving any thoughts on the Artificer class a few pages earlier at some point. -

"So you intend to have them fall back to Alandri's quarter's in order to split up the rebels? It may work but Galen and Alexandre would have to act fast." -

"While I like yer idea, Atramor, yer group would have to fight their way through their own division of rebels to stop the split off group from escaping with Alandri." -

I'm slightly confused as how this picking up of NPC's will work, does a specific enemy soldier pick them up or what exactly? I'll wait until we have a reply before we go with your plan Pie, but I think it might actually be a good idea, granted the lion knights don't blow a hole through the wall of Alandri's bathroom and scoot out that way. As Vipera relayed the information Skrall took a moment to shoot back his answer, "Nay, all those lion knights need do is slip one member of their group through and they'll have the emperor, best stick it out until reinforcements arrive, but I'll let ya have yer say." -

OoC: Should Skrall have recovered 3 health from his Blessed effect? "Snakelin', do ya think ya can ice those stairs over with yer magic, instead of takin' out one of the guards? We're going to have company pretty soon from upstairs and icin' those steps might trip 'em up on their way down." <Vipera, tell Luke to stay put for the time bein' until help arrives. Oh and tell Atramor to start makin' his way North as well.> Skrall had surveyed the soldiers' tactics in front of him and felt he had marked their weaknesses. Drawing a second bolt from his satchel he let loose a shot at Russel from his Hunter's Crossbow from the back row. -

Skrall watched as what may be a catastrophy unfold, as Luke retreated back down the stairs. "Sod," he thought to himself, "this isn't going to go well." <Vipera if there is anyway you can convince or aid Alexandre and Galen to turn aside from their headlong rush into utter destruction, please do so.> Battle order: Cronk Tarn Atramor De'Kra Count Lewis Thothwick Arthur Nerwen William Skrall Xander Isabella Sarick Denarri Nyx Phil Luke Alexandre Galen Flavius -

OoC: I know it's going to be a lot to ask, but I need to request that for this battle could everyone make sure they read all of the posts ahead of them and make sure they are not attacking the same target as someone else, I'll wait for the corrections to be made before posting the battle order. Skrall let loose a bolt from his Hunter's Crossbow at Imperial Guard D from the back row. "Ms. Toboso, go ahead and try a stab at that head gaurd Russel fellow, yer cloak should protect ya for this round! Snakelin', Denerii is already takin' care of that Guard, why don't you finish off the fifth one?" Skrall reflected on the images and sounds that Vipera communicated to him. "There's too many of them," he thought to himself, he paused as he knew what needed to be done. <Vipera, tell Luke that they're goin' to have to fall back and wait for reinforcements. Oh and send a direct message to Phil that if those heroes fall, there will be no one to help protect the emperor so he should be reinforcin' Nyx and movin' North as well.> "Galen, Alexandre, there are too many of them up there, we won't stand a chance, we need to wait for Nyx and the other heroes to reinforce our position, we must fall back to the lower level. Hopefully Phil and Count Knyghton can join us directly." -
I'm totally fine with it and am I sensing a hint of Inception here?

Actually when Mandel called you out on your not acting like normal and then you switched automatically to you're supposedly townie play-style I had my suspicions and it's been bugging me this entire week. Anyways, I think it's pretty obvious why most of us are voting and unfortunately the scum are going to get to ride a bandwagon without much suspicion.
