  1. Alright, I'll say it outright that I think the scum got lucky during night 4, as most of us know. Burbank claimed only 5 scum existed, based upon the situation. Due to Gordon's lynch, only 4 would have existed during night 4. The scum's protector would have protected one of their own, as of this moment I see no reason why they would have done otherwise, giving them a 1/4 chance of saving one of them from the vigilante, I don't think these are terrible odds and I know at least one person has agreed with me on this fact. My point is now is not the time to root out a supposed mole, they will only be able to hide so long before their web of deceit catches up with them. What we should be doing is going after those are scum by logical process of elimination not a supposition of a fact. From the way I see it, I agree with Wilder in that there it seems extremely unlikely that the scum would have tried to kill her, and then have their protector (Shadows) save her in order to gain the town's trust. At that point the scum already knew, the town-role blocker's identity, that of the vig, and the investigator thus nothing was to be gained by such a scheme as going without a night kill. If Masked is scum or even neutral I see no reason on why he would would declare me cleared, if you haven't caught on yet I was last nights investigation target and came out town, I'm a vanilla so labeling me as scum would have been the easiest thing in the world. Bam! Kill Tammo last night, lynch me today, and have the vig killed tomorrow and no one would ever be the wiser as to Masked's false role-claim. Additionally I see no reason why Scuba would have lied about his role-cop status and 2 scum or even 1 plus a neutral role-cop seems a little overkill on the scum's side. Finally since I'm not going to call myself scum, that takes care of dismissing each of us as the mole. Like I said at the beginning we should go with the logical guess rather than the supposed, sorry fhomess but I think we need to take care of obvious external scum first before we look for supposed ones within our own ranks. Now that we've gotton all the claims in we have: fhomess: Vig Masked: Investigator Shadows: Protector Me: Cleared Dragonator: Cleared Capt.JohnPaul: Cleared AwesomeStar: Cleared Rufus, Inconspicuous, Fugazi, DarkDragon were all blocked at one point or another by Tammo and thus were not the scum killer and Scuba claimed role-cop so that puts him out. The only person left remaining is Ensign Williams (Swils).
  2. Hah, well I've been waiting for this very moment and I'm glad you finally came out all guns blazing. It just so happens that our vig knows the identitiy of the protector and now that you've put your name out there I'm sure we can at least get confirmation from him. Investigation results are not everything my good man, process of elimination is also a handy tool. So let me lay it out for you. As the scum already know the name of the Investigator, unfortunately told them by Tammo through Scuba on day 3 it won't hurt to let you know that Masked Builder is our Investigator, who has cleared 2 people, granted one of them is possibly the god-father, but I'm willing for the time-being to assume that the God-father does not have the killing role as the evidence from Brickdoctor and I'm sure Inconspicuous could verify. Of those remaining we have (pardon my use of everyone's nick names): fhomess, claimed vigilante: No one has argued against this point yet, so we do not have any valid reason to disbelieve her. Masked Builder, claimed investigator: Again, No one has argued this point and he has claimed the role since day 3. Myself: Cleared CJP: Cleared Awesomestar: Cleared Dragonator: Cleared Those above have been cleared by investigation, and my cross-referencing method which I explained day 4. Rufus, Fugazi, Darkdragon, and Inconspicuous were all role-blocked by Tammo our town blocker, and as we have had a death every night excluding night 4 when fhomess was saved, none of them are the scum killer. The only ones remaining are: Yourself (Shadows) and Swils. Scuba claimed role-cop, darkdragon was not the killer given Tammo's blocking record and thus the simplest solution is either you, Shadows, or Swils are the scum killer. As I'm occupied at the engineering deck currently, I'm unable to grab all of the quotes past day's material, but will do so shortly, as regard why else I believe you are scummy, most noticably Darkdragon's bus at the end of yesterday and your denial of York's failed sting-operation. This however can simply be relegated to negligable should our Vig, fhomess, confirm your protector status. If that is the case then quite simply the logical choice, free of the most "what-if's" and assumptions would be that Swils is the scum killer, via process of elimination. Happy now.
  3. I preparing my speech before you thank you for your suspicions, but the point remains that they were more like a summery. If you're going to go against York then you go grab the quotes from the past days, and bring a case. Though you're attempt at appearing to be in the dark is noted and is to be expected. Please note that this isn't an either or question, we aren't saying that one of you is the killer and one is therefor a townie, there is a good chance that you are both scum, but we can be sure that one of you possesses the killer's PR.
  4. Sheesh everybody seems so content on saying that they have theories and then saying they don't want to present them because they are afraid of being knocked off. Well if you're a vanilla townie then present those theories and get knocked off for the good of your town instead of cowering in the corner. Well what remains of the town block has been considering all of the possibilities and we think we've come to at least something of a decision we'd like the rest of you to comment on. First things first, allow me to set the stage. Currently the scum are aware of the identities of the vigilante and our investigator (yes they still exist) and they did know that of our role-blocker and at least of the current existance of the protector. That all being said we have 3 concrete Town PR's that are among us and to my knowledge not one of them has yet been disputed. Taking into account the Investigator's night results as well as those of the Town Blocker (Tammo), combined with my cross-referencing system, it has been determined that only 2 suspects remain as far as the scum's killer PR is concerned, those two suspects I now offer to you: Lieutenant Hornby (Shadows) and Ensign Williams (Swils).
  5. "This isn't lookin' good," Skrall thought to himself as he took aim at Emperor Emeraldo from the back row with his Hunter's Crossbow. "Xander, Denarri's already got the Guard, go after the other Archer and make sure from the back row, we cannot prevent enough free hits to keep you and Ms. Isabella alive. Cronk, yer shield should be able to absorb any of the free hits from those mechanical contraptions, if those creatures come after us in here when you leave, we're done fer." Luke watched Count Knyghton's agony from his wounds, he knew that close combat was no place for an engineer, he also knew that Phil, one of the defenders' greatest warriors was struggling to hold his ground as well. Luke calmed himself for a moment, "Doing what must be done, even when I take no pleasure in it," he contemplated. With that the elderly elf let loose a healing spell at Phil from the back row with Arthur's Staff of Elven Necromancy. Battle Order: Denarri Skrall Sarick Xander Nerwen Isabella De'kra Arthur Cronk William Thothwick Aramor Tarn Nyx Luke Phil Count Knygthon
  6. OoC: Denarii should be attacking the emperor. Luke continued running south with his group, "Ms. Nyx, please we must continue, my only hope is that the enemy will pass over Galen thinking he is of no risk to them." Battle Order: Denarii Skrall Nerwen Xander Sarick Isabella Arthur Atramor Tarn Count Knyghton Phil Alexandre Nyx Luke William Cronk Thothwick De'kra
  7. "I understand your fears little one, should it come to it, I believe Cronk and William should join us, while you, the metasimean and Master Regulus should join the group in the throne room."
  8. Skrall smirked at the Rito, she reminded him of his ex, fiery and always ready for a good argument. He quickly reloaded his Hunter's Crossbow and fired off a round at Elite Heavy Guard B from the back row, "Go fer the emperor swift one, I'll put this next guard out of his misery and move on down the row. Ms. Isabella go fer the more wounded archer, Xander, Nerwen will be comin' to yer aid so go ahead and take out the archer with the higher health. Sarick, go ahead and keep the last Heavy Guard busy." Skrall shouts over to Arthur as he prepares to dash into the other room, "Arthur, tell Mr. Harkenshire if he's got smellin' salts use them on Cronk.
  9. OoC: I don't think the Elite Heavy Guard's free hits were calculated. Also I don't think Elite Heavy Guard A should be in the back row any longer, those his free hit should have been cut in half. As Skrall watched Elite Heavy Guard A start to charge him, he unholstered his Hunter's Crossbow and let loose a quarrel from the back row right at the slit in his visor. As he released his shot he shouted over to Denarii, "Put yer focus on that middle elite guard, Nerwen tend to that last one." Luke quickly moved south with the rest of the Party. Battle Order: Galen Alexandre Luke Nyx Atramor Tarn Phil Count Knyghton Sarick Arthur Xander Isabella Denarii Skrall Nerwen Cronk Thothwick De'Kra William
  10. I thought that was the maxim of every gamer.
  11. Skrall's got that covered, but if you want to join him, he could use the company. Never feel afraid to make a tough enemy, my tendency is to make a hard enemy and then depower them to account for if the Party's luck goes bad, I really shouldn't do it because that means that they will more than likely slaughter him. Just live and learn for next time.
  12. "Isabella, go fer that other archer from the back row."
  13. Luke swang Arthur's Staff of Elven Necromancy absent mindedly, "Whoops, I must not have seen you there you roguish chap. Hold fast friends, we shall yet make them regret their traitorous ways," he encouraged once again tried to bait the Rogue Lion Pikeman A into attacking him from the back row. Battle Order: Phil Tarn Atramor Count Knyghton Alexandre Nyx Galen Luke Cronk Thothwick De'Kra William Skrall Denarii Sarick Arthur Xander Isabella Nerwen
  14. One of the favorite parts of Skrall is that normal weapons are rather toy-like in his hands, thus a sword becomes a dagger, an axe a hatchet, so I envision his Hunter's crossbow as a one handed pea shooter and his Heavy crossbow built for an Ogre. I'm waiting for a smelling salt so Skrall can engage the enemy duel wielding crossbows.
  15. OoC: Everything looks fine Brickdoctor don't worry about changing it. Skrall should regain 3 health from the blessed effect, also he used his Heavy Crossbow the last round so Elite Heavy Guard A should be in the back row. Skrall watched as the bolt from his heavy crossbow slammed into the guards armor causing him to stumble backwards. Isabella's fire bomb went off and Skrall quickly released two swift arrows to mercifully put an end to the burning archer and guard. Skrall set another bolt into his Heavy Crossbow and took aim at the Elite Heavy Guard B, "Yer next chappo, or perhaps ya'd rather surrender first? No? Didn't think so." Skrall released the bolt from the back row.
  16. I think Daly made some of the best points and combined with McAndrew's original revalation I'm willing to vote: Ensign Toby Rockford (darkdragon). If I may however, why would the scum block the vig and protect their team-mate, it seems a little over the top, thus I think either one or the other happened. Since it seems like the Vig's target was protected due to the night result's wording, we should assume the latter. It doesn't mean that she isn't the scum-blocker, but it does mean that she probably didn't block the vig (if it's a point worth distinguishing to begin with ).
  17. Skrall smiled at the Rito retorting back, "As in can-ar-ry or ca-nar-eeeeee?" He turned to Sarick, "Sarick is it? I would heed Xander's suggestion. Ms. Toboso's bomb is about to do a bit of damage. Harkenshire focus yer shots at that first Chimera Guard (B) from behind Cronk." As Skrall braced himself for the impact of the upcoming explosive, he unshouldered his Heavy Crossbow and lined up the shot on Heavy Elite A from the back row. As he focused on his target, his mind ironically wandered to Wren. Where was she, what was she doing, obviously her chaos beasts had joined in the frey but she had yet to join in the fight herself. "I may be a pacifist but I can't be blamed if my staff accidently get's in people's way," Luke smiled leaned Arthur's Staff of Elven Necromancy against the wall and from the back row and baited Rogue Lion Pikeman A to charge at him in hopes that he'd trip. QM's please note that Luke's attack is a standard attack just role-played to fit his Pacifist leanings. Battle Order: Denarii Skrall Isabella Arthur Sarick Xander Nerwen Atramor Tarn Phil Count Knyghton Cronk De'Kra William Thothwick Alexandre Nyx Galen Luke
  18. I would be interested in knowing what a Vanilla townie is supposed to do, if I'm correct several notable members of this crew have said that we should analyze behavior, look at voting patterns, and reread everything carefully. I've done all that and now becuase I've drawn conclusions from all of it and started acting upon them and following up with people in private trying to put everything together I'm suddenly scummy. If someone is a vanilla they need to get their bottom in gear and start analyzing things, we cannot simply wait and sit on our hands waiting for an investigator to come along and "clear" us so we can start contributing, sheep don't get the town anywhere. You'd be surprised what 10 hours of hard work could actually yield, maybe if more of us tried it sometime, we'd be getting somewhere.
  19. Swils, in your case I was fishing on behalf of someone else, partially due to the fact that you happened to be one of the few people that my "massive logic puzzle" didn't clear.
  20. Congratulations! Skrall's impersonated Cronk before, I think he can handle it.

  22. It would matter if the the other target was more important than the vig, see below. I believe I did clarify that my method was "subjective" several times and if you'd mind sharing with me in private where I was wrong in the conclusions I reached, I'd be more than happy to discuss them. But you're failure to even mention that my conclusions were wrong in our private conversations leaves me scratching my head. You're not the only one who is trying to figure this thing out, so I'm left with pestering people and trying to collect information just like you. Just to let you know, this is an assumtion that the scum tried to kill you. My influence to have the protector change from you was based on you're "very smart member of the town" telling me that there was a more important PR that needed protecting and you can ask him yourself if this is true. How would Player Y know whom you had targetted? Or are you suggesting that Player Y is also scum and thus I must have blabbed to him (assuming that I'm scum by your logic). It wouldn't be odd if I wasn't scum. Like I said earlier, you're not the only one trying to figure things out I'll come out and claim Vanilla, because that's why I did what I did. I have no info from night action results, nothing with which to base my suspicions upon except PMing almost everyone on this ship, and analysing posts. You can ask Falcon in another life, it's what I do, I take the 8 to 10 hours to analyze everything that is said that most people decide to skip over and try to make some logical conclusions from it all. As to my technique, I'm the first to admit that it's subjective and while I won't reveal the findings of the technique because they are currently safe in townie hands already, I'll let you know how it works as by now most people have had it explained to them, or at least the ones that it has confirmed. Now stick with me here, because things are about to get complex. I've spent hours collecting all of the statements that have been said by each of us during the day threads, everything from Pewter's accusations based on hair style, to Daly's theory about the scum killing everyone who knew about them in the simulation. It is sort of why I was so quiet the earlier days as I spent most of the time observing, not wanting to cause undue attention or let anyone know that they were being observed. Now a townie never really knows if the person he's replying to in thread is scum or loyal (apart from investigations) a scum on the other hand does (barring third factions), becuase of this fact a town's reply in the day thread will look different from a scum's reply. Watch how this works: Example 1: Person A (Town): I think person C is scummy because of the pants he's wearing. Person B (Town): That is stupid, why would you even say that, you must be scum. Example 2: Person A (Scum): I think person C is scummy because of the pants he's wearing. Person B (Town): That is stupid, why would you even say that, you must be scum. Example 3: Person A (Town): I think person C is scummy because of the pants he's wearing. Person B (Scum): That is stupid, why would you even say that, you must be scum. Example 4: Person A (Scum): I think person C is scummy because of the pants he's wearing. Person B (Scum): That is stupid, why would you even say that, you must be scum. In examples 1-3 these are normal responses and one can logically declare that they are not on the same scum team. Example 4 requires a contrived conversation in order to appear like they are not on the same scum team. In most cases of the day thread, examples 1-3 will be prevalent, and unless the scum have a very good reason i.e. they are attempting to bus someone they will very rarely attempt example 4, as it is a lie and the more lies a scum weaves the more chance they have of getting caught in it, thus the best strategy is to tell as few lies as possible. So after I spent a good couple of hours of looking at all the conversations I was able to "subjectively" determine which statements fell in examples 1-3 and thus was able to "determine" who was not on whose team. Now all of this lynches on finding a confirmed scum player, then one can start looking at all the people the scum had conversations with during the day thread and "subjectively" determine that they were not on the same scum team and thus are town (assuming of course no third factions). Gordon was the first confirmed scum and thus all my cross-referencing could be utilized and I started contacting all of those that were "confirmed" townies based on these conversations as well as the timing of several of Gordon's potential busses. By this time I was getting to around 7 people who had been "confirmed" and those who hadn't were by logic potential scum. That's about it, I've worked on my method, contacted whom I thought it "confirmed" and tried to gather as much information as I could to either "confirm" them some more, or get potential scummy reactions from those whom I hadn't. Any questions?
  23. Eventually you should look at going Dragoon as they get to have dragon companions.
  24. OoC: Dharkan is lucky so she should have had a reroll for her special damage. Skrall grimmaced as Russel fell over dead, but his satisfaction was cut short as the Emperor and his guard made their way down the icy steps. As the Rito winged her way into the air Skrall called up to her, "Denarri, keep the Emperor busy. Arthur, a bit of yer Scroll magic might be handy against Lord Blacknord while the rest of yer Party deals with the guards. Atramor, see if ya can heal Count Knyghton or Tarn up a little before those troops start into the throne room. Luke, yer job is to keep everyone healthy." Skrall turned to Nerwen, "Now then miss, if ya wouldn't mind seein' to Xander over there, his wounds could use some attendin' to. The rest of ya, keep at those archers, we'll deal with the elite guards later." Skrall drew a bolt from his satchel and jammed it into his Hunter's Crossbow before firing off a shot at Elite Archer A from the back row.
