  1. Actually I Fox did make it into one episode before he got blown away saving the senator. But not a good reason to make a minifig of him.
  2. I am diggin' this building. I thought about a building a while back too. I was thinking more of a skyscraper block look, but I like this much better. It really ties in well with the overall theme. When I read the title saying HQ, I was wondering if you were going to be making a proper garage for all of the vehicles, as the truck and boat are really large, not to mention the 2.0 4x4 truck and helicopter. I think a boat dock would be really cool, maybe with access from your not yet built basement.
  3. Nice design. It fits in well. So, this is a forced build. Did you bring an extra box of LEGOs with you in case of this?
  4. I cannot wait to see a whole neighborhood of M&M (or Skittles) houses around. The design is really good, and looks very solid. I happen to live in a tiny house that has a similar "cute" look to it, and is part of an older area where many of the houses look very similar. Can't wait to see more.
  5. Haha! As a resident of the California Bay Area, we just finished over a year of this with a grove of trees in Berkley. Better watch out 'cuz those minifigs in the trees will start to smell after a while without a shower. :)
  6. Blast LEGO and their beautiful semi trucks. They are always so expensive, but I NEED all of these semi trucks. They are so fun and big and well designed. Unfortunately big also means long and I am really running out of road for all of my big trucks. Guess I need a truck yard because I have to have this truck. Thanks for the review. Looks good.
  7. Another great ship. When I am looking in the Star Wars Forum and I see the word Alphabet come up on the screen, I get excited to see what you have done now. This is a fantastic design. The way the pieces move to different angles to form the legs of the M is amazing. Some letters seem to lend themselves to ships better than others. I can't wait to see what you do for a J-wing. I ma sure that will be something. Those a-symetrical ships are a little tricky to pull off and still look good.
  8. This is a great design. It is fun to watch it come together. The wall and top perimeter fence looks imposing and really well constructed. I can't wait to see some further close-up pictures of the individual buildings. For the hanger. Have you thought about the potential of hanging the transports like they do with the tie fighters in the hangers of the Star Destroyers? That could solve the problem of enough room for everything to fit without having to make the building two stories. Have you thought about doors for the hanger yet? I imagine that the doors are going to have to be really big even for an AT-ST to walk out of, and in the world of LEGOs, big usually means delicate.
  9. Definitely the two I would love to see, the Karmann Ghia and the 15 window van.
  10. First off, great design. The build would fit in well with the Indy world. Secondly, the browns work well here and there. Being that it is Russian, I would not expect a machine, especially a military machine to come out of the land of frost and snow to not have rust on it. Finally, I would not have even noticed the difference in rifle colors as being a bad thing. Again being a Russian army, I would imagine that they would probably have a variety of weapons around. This is a good solid build. I wanna see more. :)
  11. When I first started to see all of the great pieces, I thought it would be a great set to get for a pile of wonderful pieces. Now that I see your final pictures, that set is too good looking to break down. I think I have to go get one of these. Thanks for the great review.
  12. It always seems that the sets with nice parts will move much more quickly. I think people are turned off by the giant green wheels. But now that they appear to be in use again with the upcoming Power Miner Mining Station set, they might disappear quickly. There were a few sets that started to show up near me too, along with some long forgotten Mars Mission stuff that seemed to make a reappearance too.
  13. Thanks all. Of course, as a LEGOholic, the first thing I thought of when my wife said she wanted to got England and France was the prospect of getting something I can't get here. Apparently there is a really cool toy store in Paris, but we will have to wait and see. Thanks again for the help. T-minus 7 hours until wheels up, and then I am stuck inside an aluminum tube for the next 11 hours flying over the arctic.
  14. I am headed to England and France for a two week trip with my wife. I am wondering if anyone knows of any unique sets I cannot get here in the US, and should be looking for while I am away. I know there are some stores over there that occasionally have some special sets. I am taking off tomorrow afternoon, but I will have my computer with me to check for updates. Any help you can send my way would be great. Thanks!
  15. I thought I would say hello to everyone. (Thanks to Computer Bug for the suggestion). My interest lay far and wide. I love the city sets, but I also collect the Agents, Power Miners, Star Wars. Though I think of myself as a LEGO builder, not a LEGO collector. I do enjoy collecting LEGO sets, but I REALLY enjoy building sets, and it does not take more than five minutes being built before I really really want to change something. So, hello to all. It has been a lot of fun being on this site and I am looking forward to getting to know some of you better. Cheers and happy building.
  16. Nice build. It is compact and strong looking. I think Inferno's robot will be in REALLY big trouble. It would be fun to see those two face off.
  17. Same here. If you get the first seven sets, you wind up with eight monsters. That would have been a good choice too. It will only go up from here with all of the new sets here now too.
  18. Anything Pixar has their hands in has such rich design work, it would all make great LEGO sets. I do however like Disney's efforts on Bolt, with the great copters and chase vehicles. Some Incredible stuff would be good too... especially with talks of The Incredibles 2. I would also love to see some Disneyland themed sets. Think of the money LEGO could make with these sets being at the LEGO store in Downtown Disney. I would love to see a monorail set, a train set, Jungle Cruise, and of course the new Cars Land is going to be awesome. How about a Small World ride that continuously plays It's a Small World. HAHA!!!
  19. Okay, this is just weird. I bought the 7641 City Corner. As soon as I was done building it, I sat back and literally said out loud. Now I need a flower shop. What is it about the set that made us think of a flower shop? Now for your stuff. I REALLY like the post office. The long window with short windows over is a beautiful design, and really gives a nice design aspect to your building.
  20. Ooh, niiiice! I have always had a problem with this set having such massively fat wings. I never did like that the wings folded the wrong way, and your fix is really nice. Now if only someone could get the true scissor action that is true to form for this ship, we would really be in business. I might be having to pull my V-Wing off the shelf and try your fix. Thanks for sharing.
  21. What a great review. Fantastic and creative. And who better to show off a pirate ship than...a pirate? This set interests me only because we finally get a little something different. How do you make a fight between Clone Troopers with brains and clunkers with wiring that does not match? You bring in the unpredictable pirates. I like the pirates for the simple fact that Clone Wars is expanding the universe in the visual realm, and not just in the books anymore. The LEGO sets are not anything to scoff at either. They are fun to build and are well designed. I am looking forward to this set.
  22. Thanks for the review. I bought the Freeze Ray Frenzy to give the line a chance, and did not really like it. BUT, with this review, I can see the details have been put into the bigger sets. I must get this one. When I saw the number 3 all over the twin's car, I was thinking it was a converted racer, and then when I saw they were wearing the race suits. that confirmed it. I wonder if they escaped from a Death Race kind of prison on their planet, or if their whole planet is just that mean. They are a couple of rough looking dudes.
  23. These are so pretty nice looking sets. I have not been into the animal creator series, and really there is too much good stuff coming out to start now. The vehicles look great, lots of fun designs. I really like the buildings so far. I have had a great time building the beach house, and the town house. This new house is a little blocky, and I am not sure about those shutters...very 1986 of them. I do think that there are a lot of good pieces in tan and some nice windows, so I think the set is salvageable. That is the best thing about LEGO, and arguable about Creator, if you don't like it change it. If you hate it, build something else. Is '09 the best LEGO year yet or what? Woo Hoo!
  24. I went back and forth on whether or not to get this set. I finally did, and it is great. The main house builds up nice. I have not built the others yet, just due to time and other sets to build. I do however really like the idea of the cafe as well. It is a very nice set, and it will be a welcome addition to any City.
  25. I could definitely see the crazy Power Miners taking a car like that to work. I like the crystal fire out the exhaust. It looks like it could have been an upcoming set. Definitely in the style of PM.
