  1. I think they are all good for different reasons. The only complaint is the size of some of the vehicles produced today. Have you seen the Agents convertible? It is HUGE! I think TLG is trying too hard to be able to seat two people side by side. I like the original cars in that sense. I told my wife yesterday, who was telling me how to drive, that I wish I drove a LEGO car. She said "Why, because it only has one seat?" This is similar to the debate of the yellow faces to the tan. It is good to have a growing and changing company with new products and designs, but sometimes the original stuff is still the best. Thanks for the topic. It is great to see what others are thinking too.
  2. Fantastic! As others have said, this is the best yet. I would like to see a side-by-side with LEGO's meager attempt at GG. Great work again!
  3. What, no fold-up feature?!? Just kidding. They look great, if not a little big for the scale... maybe a new Super-Pit Droid. This is another fun MOC in your line of droids. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
  4. Thanks for the great review. This looks like on of the sets I am going to love to build. There are some of these sets that are more fun to build than they are to play with, and this looks like one of them. I will definitely be looking for this one.
  5. HAHA! Gotta click to go to the link to read the conversation. It makes the vignette way funnier.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. The last time I was at the Pick a Brick wall at my local Lego Store, I grabbed a bunch of flower stems for that reason. I was sure they would disappear and not come back again.
  7. Thanks for the review. I was excited from the first picture I saw, but now that I see how big it really is, I am REALLY excited. It is going to be way to big, and I will not have anywhere to put it, but I don't care. It will become the center piece of my dining table or something.
  8. Great story. They way it was going at the start, I thought they were going to be able to expand and then have to get the new farm sets to keep up. Unfortunately it turned sad and reality set in. Thanks!
  9. I had read an article some time back where someone was asking why TLG was going away from the 9V to the newer style trains. They commented that this new style would allow for a greater variety of products and would be more flexible with the next set of ideas coming out. That tells me that they were planning for the move for quite a while. I am in the same boat as you Karl. I just finished putting together my first LEGO train set less than an hour ago, and would really like to be able to build into it.
  10. I love it. Now I just need to get the container part in clear. I have two of them in the clear yellow-green. I will have to make a bunch of them, and then I can have a smoothie bar in my city.
  11. That is one crazy head. I could see using something like that in a City scene where there is a parade with giant balloons.
  12. Great review. Saw it in the store and thought I wanted it. Read your review and now know I need it. Thanks a lot!
  13. Great job Sandy. I kept looking at each pic and I kept thinking ooh, and oh, and oh yeah. There is so much going on there. I am sure in person, people can look at it for much longer. Thanks for posting the pics.
  14. That is a great design. I like the integration of the small wheels to make the blades turn.
  15. It's funny, but he got taller after he was ship wrecked. Shouldn't people get shorter as they get older?
  16. How weak! No transforming? Just Kidding! It looks great. I was just watching the original pilot this afternoon and then I find this fine piece of MOC in Legos. Wonderful creation.
  17. I think it is a great set. One of my favorite features is the fact that the flatbed can actually hold the Dozer 7685, and it doesn't look silly on there. I am not a huge fan of the building, but I understand that it is just the start. It is small, but it is a good starting place, maybe a facade of a larger building. I doubt a construction site would include flowers for the window sills. Every so often there is an element that just gets me excited. I am really impressed with the lift. The way the wheels are set-up really makes it functional and fun. I could see using this idea in other areas... though I have never seen the black rods that long before. As far as I can tell, everything is built well. The only exception I have found is the crank for the crane that keeps popping off if I wind it too fast. Everything else is solid and works well with previous construction stuff. Good job, can't wait to see more... though my construction area is larger than any other area of my city. I do feel the need to build something for the foreman to drive. I think he needs a pick-up to tool around in.
  18. This is a really nice set. I have had one problem with it though. Where the hydraulics attach to the blade, it comes apart easily. If you push down on the blade, the small tab has a tendency to slip out. Even though the set is HUGE, it can fit in well with the other new construction sets. It actually fits really well onto the back of the flatbed truck from the new set 7633, and doesn't look too far off from reality, though I am sure it is far from the reality of how these things are delivered. I am sure they are probably built on-site as they would be way too big to be transported in one piece. This is a great set other than the one problem. It is so funny to look at it and see a little tiny guy sitting inside of it. It is even better now that there have been postings to show just how big these really are in real life.
  19. It would be perfect for a Disneyland MOC. They probably sell hundreds of turkey legs a day. When I was there a few weeks ago, I saw a turkey leg every 50 feet.
  20. All I can think is that the poor pirate was kicked off his boat for some reason or another, and is REALLY bored. It is a really good design.
