  1. Wow, nice first post on the site. Pictures AND video. Eventually when I get my hobby room built, I plan on running my trains around the room as well, but I am too worried about people stepping on them, so I am going to mount them on the wall. Your trains are really nice looking. They just look fast sitting there. I got to spend some time in England and France last summer, and seeing those long-nosed beauties just brought back memories of the train trip between the two. Glorious design and human engineering. You have represented them well in the block.
  2. Wow, this is going to be bright on your street. I would be surprised if it is not going to be the eye-grabber of the block. That is a LOT of purple bricks. This will continue to be fun to watch coming together. Thanks for going into so much depth with how you do your designs. Fun to watch and learn.
  3. Wow Jasper. I missed this before. Your street looks fantastic. I am amazed seeing these modular buildings. Just getting the parts together to make the side walks seems like an undertaking. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next. I am off to see your sweet shop now. :)
  4. Those are really nice trucks. Each are really nicely built, all with their own unique look. The tow truck is nice. I like the white stripe. If it were moved down a little, you might be able to extend it the length of the truck and really pull in the back of the truck with the front. Great build. Can't wait to see more.
  5. Well, I have 4 tridents. They all look the same. Yours may be an error.
  6. What fun. I love how MOCs start to show up for stuff just days after the release. Little Green Army Men might last longer than the Toy Story line. :)

    Hangar Bay

This is an amazing build. Each aspect of the build is a fantastic addition. The building itself is great, with nice greebles all around. Then there is the ship, also nice looking. The little machines and tools, and all of the workers and pilots and security. Excellent build. How deep is your floor? Is it only a few layers of bricks thick?
  8. I don't know about this. A lot of people enjoy the "swoosh" factor of their Star Wars Lego ships. This does not seem to have that. Just Kidding! I think it is great 1. for the well designed body that looks really close to the original, and 2. being able to have so much stuff inside. You really did a good job using all of the available space. Nice Work! Can't wait to see some of your "smaller" projects.
  9. I don't think your design is too far off from those pics. It is very nice indeed. With the trailer, it looks like you would just need some smaller, thinner tires. The trick with off sized vehicles (tall truck, short trailer) is getting the two to match without having to create a giant mess to hook them together. I have had this problem in the past too. The design is great. I really like the yellow color scheme. SNOT is always fun. A tough work horse for sure.
  10. This definitely looks like a grunt. A worker and nothing more. I am guessing, in your universe, the ships can either fly at amazing speeds, or the trucking company does not care about their employees. There is no sleeping area, or stasis area. Even Han Solo had a bed. :) Maybe a sleeper cab to show the distance that the ship could fly. This looks more like a flying transport for in-atmosphere flight. The box design is really nice. I like the sweep of the light blue. Keeps the box from being too plain. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Thanks for the review. I really like all of the Creator houses. They make for some great fill-ins on my City street. They are all so uniquely designed, and generally, there are a few ideas that come out of the build that I have not tried before.
  12. Nice work. That ship looks fast and mean. It has such a nice amount of room in the cockpit area. Great build. Can't wait to see more.

    Space Bar

Really nice work. I was drawn initially to the little bubble vehicle in the front. So cute. Then while I was looking at the pictures I was so amazed that the bottom was detailed too. The rock underparts look fantastic. Great job!
  14. This set is awesome. I built it two days ago, and then today I went down and bought two more. I took off the left wing of one, the right wing of the other and moved one pin, and I was able to make a double flyer. It turned out really cool, and really looks like it could take on the new tow truck that has only one police officer with a tiny little gun. An easy change to add more to the police roster. Over all I could not put down the set. I kept having to swoosh it around. And the helmet of the new police is great. It sits a little high on the head, but has great details. I was a little worried when I saw they were changing helmets, but these new ones are nice. It is a shame that the new wave has changed though. I like a little more continuity to my lines. There was not really a reason to change like there was with the Power Miners going after magma based monsters. Oh well, adds new depth to the characters I guess.
  15. That is a nice build. I agree with Prateek, in order to have it fit in the SP3 line, you should have a little black mixed in. Other wise, WOW what an engine. That sucker could put a sunburn on your face as it blows by (reference to the great movie Spaced Invaders). As for the street racer, that is the first human outlaw that has been allowed to join the bad guys of SP3. That is one wicked looking ride. I am sure that engine is not sanctioned for street use. With the round piece in the back being white, it looks like it was stolen from the police... not that it hasn't already happened. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I can't wait to see the two PM bases together. A production base mixed with the capture base will make a nice large stage. That will be a lot of lime green. Wasn't so sure about it when this line started, but now I LOVE it! I will be bummed if the yellow of the monster does not match the crystal, but I will get over it. I just got the first set yesterday, but I have not had time to build it.
  17. When I first say the new sets online, I was upset with the change of the uniforms. It was not until I was at my local TRU and saw that the two first sets released are a fire squad. Now that I know they are silver for a reason, all is well. I don't know about the rubber tires though. All of the rest of the sets have hard wheels, or at least treads. The tires stand out a little, and seem even more out of place being that the vehicle would apparently be near fire.
  18. I thought I was going to have a great battle with Clones vs droids, but so jar, I have way more clones, and the weaponry is far superior. I like your changes to the walker. I have been looking at them, thinking that I only wanted one guy inside, but I did not want to do too much in terms of modifications, since I would have to do it to 4... so far, and I would like to have some sort of continuity to my walkers. Off to do some mods.
  19. Well, that really depends on where your heart lies. In the future of space or in the future of espionage? Definitely a hard choice. Good luck with that one.
  20. This is just a funny build. Some great designs and some parts that made me laugh. 1. First off, the rubber wheels making the front blades turn as well as the four saw blades is a great idea. It is inexpensive to make, but really works well. 2. A coffee maker in the cab... now that is just funny. 3. I like how they used the front windshield upside down to give a really nice look to the front. 4. Turn signals? On the front, amongst all of the lights on the cab, there are two turn signals. That is just so funny to me. I do think that if they added turn signals, they could have put on a few brake lights as well. This is overall a great build, and it looks compact and tough as well. Thanks for your review Mr.Tools.
  21. Nice use of gears along with a two color scheme. I can practically hear is hissing and whining as it walks along with steam billowing out behind it. Great job.
  22. After playing around with it a little bit, if you want to carry the entire engine and props, it is really easy. If you attach 4 round 1x1 studs to the bottom of the engine, you can put it on top of the front of the trailer, and then you can attach the props as usual. It would seem much more realistic that it would be brought all together. The only thing I would change is getting a few more parts to make the tower a bit taller. And maybe a few more lights for the chase vehicle.
  23. Nice design. It is the nicest LEGO store I have seen. One question: How did you attach your Pick-a-Brick wall to the ground?
  24. Haha! That is quite an eclectic mix of students in your classroom scene. The floor looks nice. The mosaic makes for a different look than the usual single color, or checker-board floor designs. Yup, that is some major security at the prison. It looks like your micro scale college could use a washing The grass is a bit dusty.
  25. Okay, it has been a little while, sooooooooooo? What are you doing with the parts? When I saw this set at TRU I was so amazed by the size, and then instantly thought "Yeah right, what parent would spend that kind of money on that giant set?" My second thought was that the parts had a good potential for some interesting designs.
