@Jim i don’t have that steering wheel. Is it a medium size to how between the standard large Technic one and the smaller ones? If so could you do a comparison pic? -
[MOC] RC 1/11 Autozam AZ-1
Seasider replied to syclone's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@syclone thanks for the white render … thankfully the cars for sale (2x blue, 2 x white) on eBay in the U.K. are £15k and I don’t have that sort of money at the moment and my mx-5 is taking up the garage 🤣 -
[MOC] RC 1/11 Autozam AZ-1

One of my favourite Kai cars, looks great. Can it be built in white as the primary colour as I’ve seen a lot of them in white and think it looks very racer style like that -
From what I remember Rosco’s F1 cars with a file you can upload into a wish list in your brick link account. From there you can use as people have said bricklinks own tools to find the optimum stores for you. I have 2 of his F1 cars and a few other large MOCs from other sellers and anyone of good standard should provide a file you can load into brick link or easily edit to make it compatible.

@Jundis a long time ago we did a mini build contest, can’t remember what TC it was but feels like a long time. @msk6003 Do you mean vehicles with tracks? Would be interesting I do like the Extreme Adventure set. Although I did convert mine to have Wheels 🤣 @Bartybum a Walker competition would be interesting but I have a feeling most of us would end up with similar mechanisms after Googling how they work. I’m sure @Jim & @Milan have some great ideas up their sleeves. We’ve had some great competitions for lots of years now -

@howitzer all my videos are just made with my iPhone (same as all my photos). You’ll notice I don’t have a studio as photos and videos are either on a desk or somewhere else around my house. I use Flickr for sharing photos and for my videos I use an app I got years ago called Splice to link and edit my video clips, it’s very simple to use which is great for my skill level! -

I often end up buying parts I need for a TC build from bricklink. I think for TC20 this was the curved red panel and some red connectors, so not a huge amount. But like many others I don’t have any of the modern Control+ sets. If got PF and an Sbrick and none of the Control+ sets have interested me especially for the prices they are. But for competitions I think Jim and Milan should continue what they’re doing with coming up with different themes was they’ve managed fantastically to do for 20 competitions. myself I’d still like a “great egg race” type competition where you have to build a contraption to solve a problem. But that requires everyone to make a video to prove they solved it, which I know is not possible for all -

That’s a great looking tractor. Any more details on how all the functions work? -

The opposite to what you thought TC20 was 🤔 -

@Jim how do the other parts of the forum run competitions? I’ve never looked myself. Is there something we can learn from them in terms of voting? -

Yes us Brits wouldn’t get anywhere @Jim tv programmes often use judge voting to thin the entrants and then the final decision is public -

@howitzer yes quite a few people (not just in this competition) don’t actually post a WIP thread as such and instead make a thread at the last minute when their model is complete. I think some are worried about people stealing ideas. I like reading the WIP threads as it shows you someone’s thought process and construction techniques and I think helps all of us learn to be better builders. You also get people making a WIP thread with no progress just an idea! I’d like some form of requirement to actually show progress in this thread. as to the voting I think it’s always difficult. I’d say get it on the front page as soon as voting is open -
Thanks to @Jim and @Milan and those who voted me into the top 10. This has been such a great competition and I loved every minute of my build and also seeing lots of models from my Dark Ages and interesting modern interpretations of them. Congrats to @Thirdwigg on winning. It was great to see some Classic / Vintage Technic winning. let’s hope Jim and Milan can come up with more competitions like this to get such a fantastic response in entries. well done all

Technic 2021 Set Discussion
Seasider replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I don’t see why there would be any more sets in this year. The “reveal” of the CAT aligns to all the expectations for sets this year so I’d assume they’re just vacant numbers.
