  1. A "Show Your Massive LEGO Inventory That, According to dr_spock's Wife, Has Reached Critical Mass" thread? That would be interesting... I'm going to guess that most AFOLs who have been collecting since the 80's or before are in that state...
  2. Not that I wouldn't have minded if . But then again, he's already been frozen in carbonite...
  3. Knightsword must be really happy that new members flock to his MOC to compliment it.
  4. It seems I'm late to the party... They're actually making a new Droid Escape? That means I was right. Let's hope the droids can get out this time. A MINI fighter with a minifigure, and Sebulba's pod... it's interesting how the most unlikely of our speculations turned out correct. Dutch Vander is finally recognized by The LEGO Group! Yes. The Y-wing is a Special Edition set, though, so I don't expect anything too drastic... my money is on a better-looking X-wing.
  5. Minifigures aren't very playable after they stiffen... Minifigures have neck printing now?
  6. Besides, considering some of the recent sets that have proved to be below the expectations of many AFOLs (7879, 7965, 7868...) disappointment is inevitable, whether or not these rumors are true. At this point I'm enjoying discussing these rumors more than I know I'll enjoy the actual sets. Could we have another legojazzbricks on our hands? If LEGO ever releases a Star Wars set with Tradorshians, Nerordians, and Hakoo, let me know, because I don't know what any of those three things are. @lego wonkyeye: Gree was on Kashyyyk during the events of Sith, so I'm guessing something from there. The thing is that everything that's likely is either not old enough to merit a remake (Juggernaut, NR-N99, PAC) or relatively unknown (AT-AP, HMP, Wookiee ornithopter). Maybe we'll get a hut with Yoda and Gree, on a tree with a flick-fire missile in it. Then again, we haven't had a Wookiee catamaran since 2005 (and if memory serves me right, it wasn't very good either). Seems like a possibility...
  7. Special Edition? I'm guessing it will look a lot like the Eta-2 from 7256 and 7661 then. While the present design is acceptable, I was interested in seeing how a newer version would improve upon it.
  8. Actually, Anakin piloted a green Eta-2 to Mustafar after his yellow one was destroyed. It has red accents and shows up in various behind-the-scenes clips on the Revenge of the Sith DVD. That and there are almost no good pictures of it on the Net. EDIT: Around 5:10 in this clip.
  9. If I had to guess, The LEGO Group would go Hasbro and stick one . It might also be flick-fire cannons, flick-fire air intakes... who knows?
  10. Hooray! KimT is back! Now we can see just how many of these rumors are true...
  11. Like battle droids, astromech droids don't use minifigure parts, so I don't really think of them as minifigures... You were right, though, in saying that we're unlikely to see anything resembling psiaki's X-wing. Perhaps it would be more realistic to expect something like this or this, or maybe even this... anything really. Mirandir did say that it was sleeker than the last rendition, so I'm thinking something along the lines of BaronSat's. @Jedi master Brick: After 7 years, wouldn't YOU look forward to a redesigned X-wing? EDIT: While we're on the subject of X-wings, an AFOL on the old FBTB forums by the name of "Duckman" made a very sleek, compact X-wing for a display... related to something called 'Fully Brick Models'. It had an open-air cockpit... has anyone come across pictures of it?
  12. The point is, 6212 is a terribly outdated design. It's badly in need of a complete revamp. And with only two minifigures and a $60 price, it sounds like that's exactly what we're going to get.
  13. Pfft With the X-wing being so popular, the idea is that The LEGO Group wants a toy rendition of the craft available on the market at all times.
  14. The LEGO Group likes to throw proportions out of whack when working in the UCS scale, so if you've already consulted pictures of the studio model and adjusted your figures accordingly, I'm going to guess your calculations are correct.
  15. All I'll say at this point is: I'm actually hoping The LEGO Group opts for something simpler than Technic this time. One of the major flaws of 4502/6212 was that the Technic used to open the wings proved obtrusive and pretty much botched the aesthetics of the rear fuselage.* X-wings are dirty white. @AND3RSEN, zlego: The Future Star Wars Sets thread is HERE. Please use it. A LEGO exogorth would be interesting, though. @Klie: That set is from 2006. *Unless it's motorized.

  17. It doesn't seem like anyone else has been having this problem, but it appears that when you save a reply to a PM conversation in your Drafts folder the notification system thinks it's already been sent and tells the intended recipient accordingly(even though your inbox shows otherwise). If that particular situation was ever explained in the forums somewhere, I'm afraid I missed it when I was searching for explanations.
  18. That's the one! Now what could someone's MOC be doing in the LEGO.com archives? Well, Mirandir said that "[o]nly two sets could be said is linked to episode 1 and both of theese are from the new concept" so it's certainly a possibility. I don't mind speculation as long as it's based off the information we've been given... Now, speculation with no basis, like sets from Attack of the Clones - that's what had been derailing this thread before Mirandir came along.
  19. Yes, I know. By 'available' I was referring to the fact that they were still on LEGO Shop@Home for purchase. @october: What is that in your profile picture, and why does it so strongly resemble 로보트 태권 V? As for remaining remakes, other than the obvious X-wing and Y-wing, I was thinking of the 7659 Imperial Landing Craft and 7106 Droid Escape, both of which we have not seen in a while. In particular, a remake of 7106 would make for a nice impulse set... The only other set I can think of that could be remade is 4477 T-16 Skyhopper, which I would not mind at all so long as it was well done. There could also be a TIE/sa remake packaged with Vader and some stormtroopers as a TIE boarding craft... but that's not very likely.
  20. I thought something looked wrong there. Thank you, Thego.
  21. Assuming it's in classic 1:28 UCS scale, it would be about 88.9cm long by 74.5cm tall. A 'truescale' AT-AT, assuming stud-to-foot minifigure scale, would be roughly 65.4cm long and 54.8cm tall.
  22. That could turn out very well. I can imagine something like a stormtrooper and a MINI TIE/ln on a piece of modular Death Star paneling, which would be really neat as an impulse set and display piece. Then again, it might turn out like those awful Ninjago Beyblade ripoffs spinners that ceroknight mentioned. Maybe they'll release an entire line of Boba-paults so kids can flick their armies of creepy bug-eyed Anakins at each other.
