It reminded me of this.

Among other countries, the yyyy/mm/dd format is the one used in Korea and China. So this set would have been produced on January 11th, 2007. Probably bley. $400 for this would be a steal - according to Bricklink the average price looks to be around $1500.

Looks good! Are the instructions only added by the MOCer, though? Because I'm pretty sure Legostein and Reto, among others, provide instructions for many of their MOCs.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The last Y-wing release was around the same time as the last X-wing and B-wing release, so I really don't see much reason to doubt the possibility of a new Y-wing. That and all information on the first page is more or less confirmed. -

As far as we know, Jar Jar is frozen in carbonite in somebody's office and will stay that way. EDIT: @lightningtiger - kind of an uninspired design, don't you think? -
The square structure on the wall of the trench that can be seen in this picture reminds me of this really old arcade game where you're flying an X-wing and TIE/lns shot colorful fireballs at you. Anyone else know this game? EDIT: . There are these boxy turrets on the walls, Raiden-style, that also shoot fireballs at you...

Even then, remember that 6208 came with a bunch of other stuff and was still only $35. -

Consider this: 10XXX sets are typically very large and cost $100+. The last LEGO B-wing, 6208, was scaled to minifigures and cost $35. I doubt that this new B-wing would cost that much more than the previous rendition unless it was considerably larger than minifigure scale. -

You know, the whole cloning thing was neat back in the days of Joruus and Luuke, but now that there are clones fighting wars and reviving people that should have been left dead a long time ago, I think it's getting a bit old. -
'Trash-Talking Droids'? Suddenly there's the possibility that Menace could have been even worse.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
"UCS" is whatever The LEGO Group and AFOLs want it to be, but there is also a "UCS scale" that 7191, 7181, and 10175 were all built to, as well as all of Walter Kovacs' UCS TIE MOCs. It's around the same scale as Reto's UCS MOCs, which were built at the conventional 1/24 scale. Obviously many UCS MOCs are not built to UCS scale and do not have to be for people to consider them UCS. I think UCS was defined by the scale with 7191 and 7181 until The LEGO Group started releasing other UCS sets like 10030 and 10129 which are obviously at very different scales. I'm pretty sure there's already a thread for arguing over what is and isn't UCS, so let's dig that up and post in it... EDIT: Found it. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I thought that the additional price from minifigures was small in comparison to the price of the UCS set as a whole (thus making the above reasoning irrelevant)? And in any case, I was referring to complaints about the choice of minifigures as opposed to their inclusion (which could also constitute a complaint in the case of 10221, but not for reasons directly related to price). -

Come on, this is Star Wars, where the laws of physics are defied in practically every other scene! -
These appear to have been uploaded to Brickshelf only yesterday. Some real nice work:

Both 7180 and 6208 had movable S-foils that were attached via click hinges; I think click hinges would be stable enough to work at the UCS scale as well. -
I can't help but think that if one were to combine RussianBear's and Clone O'Patra's avatars, the result would look a lot like the fellow in the boat.

The thing is, I found it ludicrous that when 10221 was revealed, people were complaining about minifigures of all things. -

I thought I recognized that X-wing! I was also thinking of that, but as I said, I'm not sure whether incorporating the function would be best for aesthetics. In this particular case, I would rather have click hinges and a nice-looking B-wing than S-foils operated by gears or lift arms and a B-wing with obtrusive lumps in the middle. Unless The LEGO Group chooses the 'ridiculously cramped attempt at playset interior' route, I doubt we'll be seeing any minifigures with this since a minifigure-scaled B-wing wouldn't justify a UCS price point (unless it was on the level of RenegadeClone's, which is hardly likely). In wishing to maintain the integrity of the UCS line, I would prefer that no minifigures come with this set... However, if this were to come with minifigures, possibilities include Ten Numb and Ackbar. -

Considering the design of the craft in that area, I'm skeptical as to whether one would be able to incorporate a gear system while maintaining the shaping around the midsection. Pretty much every B-wing MOC I can think of uses click hinges as S-foils. -
I would wean her off the Megabloks; a member of another AFOL forum once found that they caused his hands to bleed badly while he was building with them. And it's not like they're any good anyway.

You may want to recheck your code - your pictures aren't showing up and your hyperlinks don't go directly to images.

EBAY SCAM: UCS Millennium Falcon10179 - £186.99 NEW
Fallenangel replied to skyliner's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Agreed - any one of us could have fallen for that. I know people who are so conscientious about scammers that they never consider buying anything they see on the Internet unless the seller is local and the transaction can be made in person. Where?! * *Even if it's cavegod, this is obviously too good to be true... -
Like your other MOCs, Julandrius, this tank certainly does not disappoint! You've captured the bulky military feel of a tank perfectly, and the studless/SNOT work is superb. There are lots of really nice little bits that stand out, and NPU is definitely one of the best things about this MOC - things like your use of the 2x2 jumper plates and the way you've left studs around the edges (they remind me of rivets) as well as how you've used turntable bottoms as vents and the headlights in the front (oddly reminiscent of an automobile, which is neat). Personally, I love the WWII-esque feel that this tank gives off, but I can see why you may not be too happy with the turret - for me, the way you've built it makes it look slightly too blocky in comparison with the rest of the build. To round it out a bit, you may want to use these and these for the "body" instead of the rows of 1x6 curved bricks with 45 slopes. For the main cannon, you could use a combination of Technic pins and small gears rather than simply tubes to give it some bulk (as seen in this MOC).
