  1. I'm amazed there isn't already a discussion topic for this, but yea, let's use this thread to talk Pixar films and related things. Personally, I love most Pixar films. Y'all probably know that the Toy Story series is my favorite trilogy of films. The next Pixar film coming out is Monsters University, which is Pixar's first prequel film. There is also talks of Finding Nemo 2 coming out in the near future. But, I particularly started this topic today as news just came out that the Cars spinoff, Planes, has been announced to be released in theaters on August 9th, 2013. It's kind of ironic as this is not going to be a film produced by Pixar. I will not be looking forward to Planes after the disaster that was Cars 2. Oh, and I really wonder if they'll make Planes LEGO sets.
  2. BrickboxTV's review of the small Raven set!
  3. I don't have much time to talk, but I thought the newest MLP:FiM episode, Apple Family Reunion was fairly average. I'll give it a 7/10.
  4. I got the Golden Dragon set! It was the last one at my Toys"R"Us. If you're one who doesn't like video reviews, mine will not change your thoughts! But, I did make a video review of the set.
  5. 'BrickBoxTV' released a great review of the Royal Fighter set!
  6. Super Seamus on YouTube released a decent review of the Ultimate Tournament set. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmtb1Tn1idw His lighting is better than mine.
  7. These new sets are already sold out at two of the three Toys"R"Us locations I went to today. The one that had them only had the two $20 sets, and barely any copies of 'em.
  8. I got that new Soccer set, and it's good! There has been an outpour of people complaining about video reviews of sets on YouTube, so if you don't like video reviews, mine are no better! I would really recommend this set out of all the new Friends sets besides the Pool and maybe the Pet Salon. It's surprisingly good and it fits in any LEGO city!
  9. Phenomenal review, Oky! This set is awesome, mostly because of the three awesome exclusive figures. The Bat-Boat itself is kind of crappy in my opinion, though.
  10. Brickshow made a review of the Croc Command Ship!
  11. It is a bit sad, considering a licensed theme like Cars got 18 sets the first year, and 9 sets the second year. I really hope that the LOTR theme has proven to be popular...
  12. I think it has a chance, but it will probably NOT take up the Cuusoo Quarterly set space and only be available at Purdue University or on its website.
  13. So far, it's only going to be this set. But who knows. The results of those will be announced at a later date.
  14. Which ones are you referring to?
  15. Shouldn't this be in Special Themes, like the Minecraft set thread? Anyways, I really hope they make new molds for the figures. Otherwise, this set is gonna be awesome.
  16. Wow, those results were unexpected. Still, I'm happy about the results of the BTTF project. The first Back to the Future is definitely in my top 5 favorite films list. Two very important thing is on my mind: did they get DeLorean licensing, and will they make new molds for the figures? I really hope they make new hair piece molds for them.
  17. Two days before mine! I might actually get it now!
  18. Saw a whole bunch of packs at the LEGO store in Sunrise, Florida. .
  19. So hyped up for tomorrow! Here's my predicitons: 1.) Western Town- Yes, it will be produced. I think they might even make it a Lone Ranger D2C set or even a wide released $100 set in October 2013 a la POTC Black Pearl set. So this would take the Fall 2013 quarterly Cuusoo set space. 2.) Back to the Future- It will likely be produced, but like everyone says, probably late 2013-early 2014, taking the winter quarterly Cuusoo set space. This will be good as it will not take the next quarterly set space, but rather a later space. It will most likely be just the figures of based of the first movie, as the floating skateboard design is owned by Mattel. 3.) Eve Online Ship Thingy- Yes, this will be produced, but at a VERY limited run, like the Hayabusa, to sell on the Eve Online store and LEGO.com. Additionally, it will be for the Spring 2013 quarterly Cuusoo set space, as it will most likely not have any figures or speciallized parts, making it an easy to produce set. 4.) The Legend of Zelda- This will likely be produced. Seeing how LEGO has built a relationship with Nintendo recently due to LEGO City Undercover and all that promotional material, I really think Nintendo wouldn't deny the license. It would probably include Link (new hair piece), Ganondorf (using the recolor of the Series 3 Elf hair piece), and Zelda (using Legolas' hair piece). LEGO would not want to miss on an opportunity to make another money maker, after the lukewarm success of the Minecraft set. Like the Minecraft set, it would retail for $35 and have a small structure. LEGO would learn their lesson by making a huge quantity of copies of the set. Finally, it would take the Summer 2013 quarterly Cuusoo set space.
  20. Great review, 'Clone O'Patra'! I really like this set, mostly because of Nick Fury. I plan on getting this set before Christmas.
  21. I guess, if you don't count the Facebook artwork.
  22. What's with the lack of Raven stuff in the promotions?
  23. Got the Drill set and a few others, here is my video review! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjnlpGOgVzM If you have any picture requests, hit me up! ...And, the Fire Mech!
  24. Thanks Sci! The sets look outstanding!
