Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers
Hinckley replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm going to post all the PMs paraphrased when I get to a computer. Here's what I'm confused about. The code was my idea. ZipZop gave me part of the code. 4 of 2 wrote me to say he had another part of the code and so did Bock. I thought this was weird so I told ZipZop. Today, ZipZop is saying that Vazquez had the third part and is implying that I'm "involved with" Bock and 4 of 2 which makes no sense. The only connection I have to Bock and 4 of 2 is 4 of 2 PMing me that ZipZop PMed them parts of this code. Now Bock has PMed me asking questions he could be asking here. What is going on???- 331 replies

You seemed to be suspicious of Bock yesterday. I have to wait until I'm home at my computer. What you're saying isn't making sense to me. You followed my advice and gave me part of a code. 4 of 2 wrote me and said he and Bock were given parts to. I reported that to you and you said it was odd. I have not talked with Bock via PM at all.- 331 replies

I hate responding to your posts on my phone. 4 of 2, you PMed me saying you and Bock had the other parts of the code. Zipzop says that's not true. Zipzop, I told you 4 of 2 contacted me saying he and Bock had the other parts of the code. And you read that message twice. If 4 of 2 is lying why wouldn't you try to string him along in private to see if you could get anything out of him? Why reveal that publicly? So, it appears 4 of 2 is a liar and Zipzop's behavior is just strange but Paul still has the gold medal for Scumminess. He basically just confessed. Jester maybe?? Not great Scum play otherwise.- 331 replies

Now that I can focus on something besides Clementine I think I should put it on public record that "the code" (the other half that ZipZop split the id of the tracker with) suggested connecting the code to start a Town block. I said no and he apparently concurs. But it was Scummy to suggest it to start...- 331 replies

No, it isn't. I've already explained it to you. I've been a tracker. I've been a part of a Town block, I know how to verify people. I don't realize it's not bad logic, because it isn't. You trying to say that your claim is unverifiable is Scummy. So, we're not supposed to try to verify you? What question am I supposedly not answering? And let's wrap this up. If all three of us are Town, we're spamming up the thread. And we keep focusing on you, Clementine. Every day there's more and more about Clementine. Pages of you. Here's the tl;dr of it all: Clem and Minga have made claims. They could be lying. We have no reason to currently trust them or claim to them. Some might! But on average, be cautious. And Rip Sewer stopped by but didn't feel like posting. Probably tired, typing slow or can't believe how crazy it got since he last stopped in.- 331 replies

What about what I'm saying do you not like? Today is "Starship Troopers" by the way. That doesn't mean it's never used. I've used it twice as a host. Albeit, one–shots. The other possibility is that someone is investigated and they're the...Clem's favorite word...Godfather. Once they're cleared, again, of course they'd want to try and get a Town block formed around them. A trusted Scum who has been investigated as Town can get away with a lot. Thanks for this, if it is true. I think my logic is sound. You and Minga can both be lying and nothing you've said makes me 100% sure that you are Town. You can be verified targeting who you say you would or if you have inherited vig, it would be obvious if you killed who you said you would. Sorry that my logic seems sub–par to you, but I would say my logic is that I don't trust you or Minga 100% because I have no reason to. If there's no counterclaim, if there are other verifications of your claims, great. But the way it's being presented to us right now, calls for scrutiny. The Town PRs rushing to claim to a liar could possibly end the game tonight. If you don't like me questioning that, then go screw. And no, you quoted me saying something I did not say. You have to stop that. It's terrible form. Terrible Mafia etiquette.- 331 replies

It's been used. Look it up on mafiawiki. I hope that's true. I hope you get somewhere. Then take the scrutiny. If you have nothing to hide, the more you post the more we will see it. And watch those certain people very closely. And if there is someone out there who knows Minga is lying, please find someone you trust to bring the information to us. What is this? Are you again changing what other people have said?? Below my game–grade? What does that even mean? You don't like that I don't believe you or Minga so everything I say is a ping? And I'd like to see my actually quotes not your paraphrasing. I have no idea what you're doing but it looks bonkers. Oh, you think because I'm not telling the tracker and investigator a plan to verify you, I'm playing below my game–grade? I'm not going to say specific things in public that the Scum can block or mess with. So, use your own brain.- 331 replies

But if we were to verify her through Actions, I would assume the tracker would have an idea who she planned to target and what role she claimed to have. I don't know how this would all work, that's for people in the Town block to figure out. I said yesterday I find it hard to believe a Scum would claim that role but it's not impossible. Hey, if you two are Town and can verify people and get us moving in the right direction, great. But, and I know this from experience, you better damn well expect some scrutiny if you come out and claim to be verified and start asking for claims. Be more wary of the people who believe you too easily. My first post of the day: And I've called a lot of people Scummy. That's how the game is played. We don't lynch every person who is called Scummy. You sure are acting like a n00b. No. Not proof. Also, no, that does not mean I think you are Town. And Scum bus Scum all the time. Is this your first game??????- 331 replies

Don't start this shit. Any number of megablocking reasons. If Minga is Scum and was cleared because of a tailor, now they have the investigator's ear and a tailor and can target any player the investigator targets. Maybe they're keeping him/her alive for...starting a Town block, maybe? As Minga is trying to do. You know Scum keep PRs alive if they can manipulate them so why are you even trying to argue that? And how are you sure the investigator is still alive? I see no reason to put Clem or Minga in the verified column just yet.- 331 replies

And where do you get any indication that I thought you were Town yesterday? I said ZipZop was strange for asking you to do an analysis and then calling you Scummy for it and that Laura and Paul were Scummy for calling it fluff when it implicated them. Where did I say "Minga's so Towny!"?- 331 replies

Until it bleeds. Thank you. Quote where I say to lynch you, hyper–sensitive. Apparently, I'm only calling you stupid. I believe I've made it quite clear I'm voting for Paul. And you're not random. You specifically said something ludicrous, which I found Scummy but Diamond came in and defended you, so you're just stupid, apparently.- 331 replies

That's what I've postulated but Clementine appears to think she'd be tracked killing. Not sure why. Again, with the focus on backing up the vig. And if two PRs were killed last night, would Clementine get a choice of which Action to inherit? I'm sure Clem can clarify that for us. And if we're not getting an investigator counterclaim, there's no reason for us to not believe the investigator. But if the contact is a tailored–Scum or Godfather then we shouldn't be claiming to it. And...is Clementine verified? No. Nathan seems to think so since he put her name in green, but I haven't received any evidence that Clem is who she says she is.- 331 replies

Bandwagon? There's no voting yet. Minga is not a n00b. And as of right now, I'm voting for Paul when voting opens. And I'm not the Town leader. Anyone following me is on auto–pilot. I haven't asked anyone to follow my lead. I didn't vote until late yesterday because I know I have the effect of people following my vote and it does appear things didn't get going until I voted. You know what? If people want to usher me out in front as leader, I'm not voting until all 11 other votes have been cast today. Think for yourselves, people. I'm not your megablocking leader. It's a team game, work. Hey, megablocks. Someone stole my pants both nights. You take the time to actually read. There is a difference between a kill and...a non–killing action. Why would you be targeted killing someone? Ping–a–ding–ding.- 331 replies

Hosts, for my prank tonight I would like to repeatedly punch Minga in its face. There, now I'm verified Town. But he's not exactly a noob. And it's pretty dumb. And do you feel sure enough to tell everyone to go claim to Minga?- 331 replies

Fishing?? I specifically said I'm not asking her to tell us. I'm saying we can verify her claim by tracking her, assuming she will have a role after 7 Townies have died. I'm actively trying to prevent anyone from prematurely claiming to you because you're saying Scummy things.- 331 replies

Nobody claim to Minga, even if there isn't an investigator counter–claim. Maybe I'm over–reacting but something smells super fishy about trying to make us believe she's Town because she's pranking us. Getting a prank role verifies us as Town??? Then why wouldn't all of us just ask for a prank role and whoever Danny and Jack don't give them to are Scum. I'm so annoyed right now.- 331 replies

How is it easily verifiable if you can't be tracked, blocked, watched, etc? The host is letting people make jokes, anybody. You can tell us all you want who you're going to "target" and we'll see the results but that doesn't make you loyal. If there's no investigator counter–claim we'll believe you enough by that. I don't know why you have to tout being the clothes–switcher as proof that you're loyal. It really pings me. Also, Clementine likes to hover around here and see what people are doing. I have to assume if she is what she says she is, she's inherited a role. And somebody knows a tracker...- 331 replies

I want to look more into these middle–ground players. It's a common space for Scum to hide and easy for them to shrug off suspicions. Nathan, aye not Nathan, why did I think Nathan? Because he's in this range too? No, Rip. I mean Rip. Rip starts the game with the bold call for Dr. Wen's head and if he's Scum he's borrowing a page from the Scubacarrot manual of Mafia–play: Act really bold and confident and people will mistake the confidence for Towniness. Remember that opening statement too, I'll come back to it: "I can't leave for an hour without everything crazy going on..." He proposes that Dr. Wen is a detriment to the town no matter what his affiliation is. His "perspective" is that he's either Town, Scum or Neutral... That's some great sleuthing skills there. Maybe he's also a Mafia player? An EB member? An AFOL? And then his vote is carefully worded, "he's a detriment to the Town." This is basically saying "when he flips Town, I still said I just didn't want him here because he's a detriment to us no matter what he was." How dare a noob act like a noob and play like one on top of it? I voted for Dr. Wen as well but it's because I thought he was Scum. Lynching someone because they're a bad Townie doesn't seem to me to be a very Townie thing to do. Again, he's making a Scuba–esque bold claim for the "blocker" not to protect Clementine. It's weird in and of itself as the protector could protect the backup as it's not only the only "role" the Town knows to protect, it's also possibly the only "role" the Scum know to kill. Why wouldn't the Scum want to take out a backup if they don't know the identity of any other role. But, let's see how Scum perspective effects this bold statement. He thinks the blocker protects. That's a weird mistake to make. Blockers probably...hmmmm...block? And the protection is given by....I think the protector. It struck me as odd at the time and I couldn't pinpoint why and today I thought of this. If the Scum don't have a protector, how do they protect themselves? Trying to block the vig or SK, that's how. Scum Perspective. And again, that one started with "It's late so..." blah blah blah statement, remember that one too. Scum Perspective: suspect to the Scum. The Town is looking for Scum suspects. For Rip to think of Scum as having suspects must be how he views his job as Scum. Good thing 4 of 2 knew what he was thinking. This is a long way to explain why he's not voting for the person he went after all day. Then he says he'll go read the day threads and look for evidence. So, I erased the best example and I'm running out of time for now but somewhere he says "You people type so fast!" That combined with the other statements I've asked you to remember (I'm so tired, I can't post much, everything went crazy while I was gone) are fun ways of saying "I'm online but I'm not reading the Scum writeboard, I'm slow and tired." Then he promises to find us some evidence and never comes back. Thinking back to the best examples I can remember of this type of middle–ground Scum play, the entire Scum team in Harriet Slutter and fhomess in Unrest in the Forest, the accused Scum always says something like "Well, I have been busy or tired or sad or grumpy and I do type really slow, is that so Scummy? Sorry I can't be as active as __(fill in the blank, usually me)__ do you expect me to be online all day? I've justified everything I've said and voted. How is that Scummy? I'm just trying to find Scum, sorry I'm not always right. I'll look over the rest of these middle–ground posters, but Rip was the first that came to mind when I started looking at the lower contributors. It is not your role. Not enough to bold it and put it in blue and give it a name. You're announcing it like it verifies you further as Town (outside of supposedly being investigated as such). Town or Scum, giving your role a name, calling it loyal and bolding it in blue is inadmissible evidence as it's misleading.- 331 replies

This. Someone mentioned the Claw and Dr. Wen would've done better than flailing noobs as their team would've advised them. Zipzop is a noob and has been pretty involved, even getting claims. Most of his contributions have been talking about how in–depth he is when reading the day threads. I'm not sure what to think about Zipzop. I keep going back and forth. I have a conversation going with him by PM. He's only one of two conversations I've had, the other only being a couple of posts. Zipzop asked me for advice on what to do about the tracker claim. He was planning on telling two people the identity of the tracker in case he was killed. So, I told him to create a code that led to the tracker but give the code to one person and the key to another person so he wouldn't be revealing the identity yet and not need to if he wasn't killed. He gave me the code and along comes that other person I have a couple–post conversation going with: "Hey, Zipzop gave me the key to the code of who the tracker is in case he dies. So we need to connect it if he dies." For one, why did Zipzop tell the other person who I was but not tell me who the other person was? I asked him about this and he said it sounded strange that the other person contacted me but hasn't responded to me since. Monitoring his personnel file, I see he's been online and read the PM since. He has also been online since the day started but not posted. But you bolded it in blue and gave it a name, not clarifying it was a joke thing, making it sound like it was your role. Or whoever did, not you, Minga. I was posting, I didn't realize how many new posts had come up, the board software usually alerts me. Oh, and I forgot to mention I found it odd that the other person, the code person, would PM me to seemingly say "Hey, look at me! Someone trusts me!" And I'm not really clear as to why ZipZop would trust this particular person. However, as I go over this scenario in my head, while these things are suspicious, they could also be Town–motivated. Aye, tatties o'er the side, I need a drink!- 331 replies
