  1. As a conviction has been reached for over 20 hours, I will now close the day thread. A conclusion will be up in about 7 hours. If everyone gets their Night Actions in, I can have the new day started in 11 hours. Thanks everybody for the help and participation.
  2. As the day wore on, Zerard Wolfe played a solemn tune on the bagpipes. "Wow, I'm a good bagpipes player," Charles Pleasance sighs as he listens to the beautiful song. "Hey! You're not me, you're you!" Zerard Wolfe shouts. "Oh, sorry!" Charles Pleasance answers, "I thought I was playing the bagpipes..." vote tally Meahon Doughal (MetroiD): 7 votes (Fugazi, Shadows, Bob, CallMePieOrDie, Pandora, CorneliusMurdock, JimButcher) Polly Altamont (Pandora): 1 vote (MetroiD) Mod note: As a majority has been reached for some time, I will close this thread in about 10 hours, barring any drastic changes. If you are set with your vote, please think about your Night Action and get them in ASAP. If I get them in quickly, I can start the Day Four thread in about 24 hours. Let's plan to make the deadline for Night Actions 20 hours from the time of this post. With everyone's help, we can keep this game moving swiftly. Thanks!
  3. I'm getting some questions about this, so let me clarify: You cannot say you are (for example) Silas Gil Large. You cannot say you are (for example) the security expert. You can say that you are the vigilante or a one-shot watcher. You can say that you are the Queen, which everybody would know is Vivian Coulahan Coulsh. That is, in a way, a Night Action. As the target of the Scum, you have the ability to claim that is what you are. Why? If you think about it for a moment, it benefits all sides and keeps the balance even and supports the game mechanics (which are in place to make the game interesting.) You're totally on the honor code for this, which means I have to figure out a way to just completely make it impossible next time I run a concept like IMHOTEP this.
  4. Mod note: The reason the text "all details and pictures" is in bold is to stop you from claiming your alter egos to each other. The details I was referring to in that statement are the identities of your alter egos. Perhaps it should be worded more clearly, but let me be clear that this is against the rules and will be dealt with by rule #12: Violation of the above rules will result in automatic death. This game is designed for you to figure out affiliations without blatantly claiming your alter egos. Tomorrow the rule will read like this: vote tally Meahon Doughal (MetroiD): 6 votes (Fugazi, Shadows, Bob, CallMePieOrDie, Pandora, CorneliusMurdock) Polly Altamont (Pandora): 1 vote (MetroiD)
  5. vote tally Meahon Doughal (MetroiD): 4 votes (Fugazi, Shadows, Bob, CallMePieOrDie)
  6. "You want me to take over flying for a while?" Fairon Garzi asks Jane Phoebe Barnell. "Are you sure you want to fly?" Jane asks, "You look grumpy." "It's just that I haven't seen my wiener all day," Fairon admits sadly. A wiener conveniently presents itself. "Oh joy!" Fairon Garzi exclaims as he reaches for the wiener. However, he thinks better of it. "Wait a minute," he thinks out loud, "Where is this wiener coming from?" The answer is disturbing. "I always knew it was better to look a gift wiener in the mouth." Fairon Garzi says. "I thought the saying was 'a wiener in the hand is worth two in the bush.'" Jane says. ____________________ You may now vote. You have 48 hours to reach a conviction. The player with the most votes will be lynched. Meanwhile, Bess Bulton and Cuthber Neal Memlow play a game the passengers call "Let's hang upside down from the cargo net". "Weird that my hair is falling up," Bess Bulton observes. "Weird that I still can't get an erection even though I'm staring up your blouse," Cuthber Neal Memlow observes. "Why is everything about wieners?" Bess asks...
  7. How considerate that both sides decided to postpone your metagamey demises until night 2.
  8. Thanks so much to Rick and Dragonator for playing! It was nice to have our Games Moderator back in a game and this was Rick's first time as unconverted Scum! Sorry it ended way too early for both of you, but I hope you had fun while it lasted.
  9. Players only please! Ruben Castleton's disguise fades away and he is revealed to be none other than Barag, a Kensmy Clan Assassin. "I'll be back!" Barag cries as the silver plank drops him off into the clouds, "This God will resurrect me!" "He better not," answers Shanalon Dairne, "I'll megablocking kill him!" Everyone cheers as Barag drops out of sight. Late in the night, Lord Hildebrand Weaselton finds Lady Eleanor Quin Fry producing a clown from her magic wand. "What on Earth is this nonsense?" Lord Weaselton asks, "Is this another joke?" "One of the passengers can't masturbate without a clown," Lady Eleanor explains, "if you really must know..." "You certainly do care about everyone's well being," Lord Weaselton scoffs. "You've certainly chosen a life of treachery and evil-doing," Lady Eleanor counters, "I'm perfectly happy with my choice to care." Queen Vivian Coulahan Colsh runs down the stairs with Silas Gil Large the jester in close pursuit. They are both giggling and panting. Honk! Honk! "She has more than one nightgown?" Lord Hildebrand Weaselton snorts, "Seriously, what is this about? I get it. They're lovers, right? If you kill one the other one dies. Is that it? Or is it just a damn joke?" "Oh, Hildebrand," Lady Eleanor sighs, "It's not too late to turn things around and join the noble cause and save the remaining members of the Royal Family." "Oh my heart grew three sizes this day," Lord Weaselton laughs, "Did you really think that would work?" Throughout the night there are short periods of activity on deck. Prince Nathaniel Kienan Colsh has a nightmare...about clowns...and goes looking for his mother. Officer Dumble sneaks out to swipe a jar of applesauce from the ship's ample food store. Queen Vivian and Silas Large wait for the results of a pregnancy test. And close to the morning, Eregor slinks out of the shadows and stalks his intended target. In the morning everyone is shocked to find Darberis Gibbon (Dragonator) dead on the deck. She was stabbed to death during the night. "I'm sorry to say we lost a loyal member last night," Lady Eleanor Quin Fry announces to the shocked (and some secretly delighted) passengers of the HMS Brutal. Lady Eleanor reveals Darberis's true identity to be Queen Vivian Coulahan Colsh. "My Mom!" Someone cries. "My Wife!" Another person cries. "The mother of my un-born clown child!" Yet another person shrieks. "Ha ha, megablocks!" A gravelly, sand green voice says. Everybody looks around, but nobody can identify who said what. In a flash of magic, Lady Eleanor and the deceased Queen disappear, leaving the passengers of the HMS Brutal to discuss what to do next. ____________________ Day Three has begun. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. Alter Egos Bess Bulton, assumed by Bob Charles Pleasance, assumed by CallMePieOrDie Clemence Blanchfield, assumed by Cecilie Cuthber Neal Memlow, assumed by Cornelius Murdock Fairon Garzi, assumed by Fugazi Jane Phoebe Barnell, assumed by JimButcher Meahon Doughal, assumed by MetroiD Polly Altamont, assumed by Pandora Shanalon Dairne, assumed by Shadows Zerard Wolfe, assumed by Zepher The Deceased Ruben Castleton, / Barag assumed by Rick, convicted on Day Two. Darberis Gibbon, / Queen Vivian Coulahan Colsh assumed by Dragonator, murdered on Night Two. 1/3 Role PM format: The Rules: Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Royal Court or the Kensmy Assassins. To win the game, the Royal Court must kill off all the Kensmy Assassins, while the Kensmy Assassins need only to kill the members of the Royal Family: King Finnerty D. Colsh, Queen Vivian Coulahan Colsh and Prince Nathaniel Kieanan Colsh. Any third party player will have win conditions that are detailed in their role PM... Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. You may also proxy your vote to another player, using this format; proxy: Character (Player). Naturally, unproxying a vote is also possible. The player with the most votes is lynched. In the case of a tie, there will be no lynch. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will not end when a majority vote has been reached. If there is time left, a majority vote can be over-turned. After the day has concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last a maximum of 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 24 hours of the night stage, or they will not be accepted, no exceptions. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to you by the game host via PM. This includes all the details and pictures of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. (Due to the concept role-claiming should be done with great caution. Another reason the roles have all been laid out is because verification by role-claiming is incredibly hard and extremely risky for the Town.) Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. If you are converted, you must accept your new affiliation. If it's proven that you gave up your new team after conversion, the whole game will be null and you will most likely not to be asked to play one of my games again. You may not edit your posts. You must post in every day thread. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM. Please please please use only the confirmation PM I sent you to communicate with me. All new conversations regarding the game will be deleted. Violation of the above rules will result in automatic death.
  10. Good news! I should actually be able to post Day Three withing the next half hour.
  11. vote tally Ruben Castleton (Rick): 11 votes (Zepher, Cecilie, CorneliusMurdock, Shadows, Dragonator, CallMePieOrDie, Fugazi, Bob, MetroiD, Pandora, JimButcher) Non-voters: 1 (Rick) With 11 votes, Ruben Castleton (Rick) will be lynched. After one more sloppy, double-goggled kiss, Ruben Castleton bids farewell to Jane Phoebe Barnell. A sad and horny Phoebe wipes a tear from her eye. Ruben addresses the other passengers of the HMS Brutal to deliver his final words before being dumped overboard. "I am prepared to do my duty for the Royal Family," Ruben tells them, "The result of the investigation is wrong, though. Don't allow this trickery to continue to deceive..." "OK, Scumbo, that's more than enough out of you," Shanalon Dairne interrupts, "Lame. Pathetic. Desperate. Scum. Onto the plank." "Hello everyone," Shanalon addressed the passengers, "As the day draws to a close, I'd like to thank everyone for supporting the Royal Family today. But I shake my fist at you Scummy Assassins! Watch out for me! I'm the Towniest of Town! Well, the Shippiest of Ship, in this case." "Oh geez," Somebody grumbles. "Well, Hinckley's not playing so somebody has to be the ego," another passenger says. "This isn't a ship, it's the Royal Barge," someone observes, "Maybe she's the bargiest." "First he steals our concept, now he's stealing our jokes," yet another passenger grumbles under their breath. It's early, so the sun has not yet begun to set, but the plank is at the ready. Ruben Castleton steps onto it, and as he does, his true identity is revealed... ____________________ Thanks to everyone for getting Night Actions in early. I will get Day Three up within the next 12 hours. Again, great work, Steampunk Mafia players!
  12. vote tally Ruben Castleton (Rick): 11 votes (Zepher, Cecilie, CorneliusMurdock, Shadows, Dragonator, CallMePieOrDie, Fugazi, Bob, MetroiD, Pandora, JimButcher) Non-voters: 1 (Rick)
  13. Please stop bumping old topics unless you have something to add. Your questions can be answered with a little bit of research on your part.
  14. Everyone do the moderators a favor, please! Read the rules carefully before asking any question you may have. Then, read this thread. Maybe your question has already been asked. Then, use some common sense and see if you can't come to a conclusion on your own. No offense to anybody, but the Town Mods are very busy and volunteer their time to make this a great contest to participate in. Let's not make things harder for them by asking unnecessary questions. By all means, ask away though if you can't find the answers. That's no problem. I don't want to discurage anybody from asking something they absolutely need to know. I just want to discourage anybody from asking questions that may be answered with a little bit of effort on your part. Thanks!
  15. vote tally Ruben Castleton (Rick): 8 votes (Zepher, Cecilie, CorneliusMurdock, Shadows, Dragonator, CallMePieOrDie, Fugazi, Bob) A majority has been reached. If you have no intention of changing your vote, please start thinking about your Night Action. Send them in early if you can. You will have time to change them. Barring any drastic changes, the day will end at the 48 hour mark. The next day can go up at that time if I get the Night Actions in before then.
  16. "This spell is pretty neat," Fairon Garzi says, "Lady Eleanor Quin Fry though of every little detail! I even have memories! I used to rob trains and give the spoils to the poor and less fortunate." "Like Robin Hood?" Darberis Gibbon asks. "No," Fairon Garzi says, "Like robbin' trains. What do you remember?" "I remember giving birth to a turtle." Darberis admits. The conversation is interrupted by a flash of red hair and a startling "Whump!" "What was that?" Fairon gasps. "It's Shanalon Dairne!" Darberis Gibbon screams, "She's dead!" ____________________ You may now vote. The player with the most votes will be lynched. "I'm not dead!" Shanalon says, "I'm just a bit clumsy. I fell off the railing. Don't you take a pulse before you scream, 'She's dead!' you twat?" "Tee hee!" Darberis laughs, "You mispronounced 'twit'!"
  17. Weird, I didn't experience this yesterday, so I didn't try to get any traces on the database. I'll check again today. I was putting together a Mafia game day thread so that's probably why I didn't notice.
  18. Thanks, Shadows! This is pretty awesome that everyone has been on the ball. This game will move very smoothly if everyone can keep that up.
  19. Players only please! Honk! Honk! "I'm horny for your pie my dear!" Silas Gil Large chuckles as he chases the Queen. "Quiet, silly!" Queen Vivian Coulahan Colsh laughs as she runs across the deck of the HMS Brutal, "My husband will hear." As the adulterers continue their game, Lord Hildebrand Weaselton and Lady Eleanor Quin Fry appear in a flash of magic light. "Damn you woman!" Lord Hildebrand Weaselton curses, "How do you always know what I'm about to do?" "We've cast our spells, Hildebrand," Lady Eleanor admonishes him, "The rules are set. There should be no interference from you." "Really dear," Lady Eleanor says, somewhat softer, "It's time you let go of your grudge against the King. He's not the reason our marriage ended." "Oh we need to bring exposition and depth into our characters?" Lord Hildebrand laughs, "Why? We're only NPCs. Why not show all of the action happening below deck?" "What do you want?" Lady Eleanor asks, "More Queen/Jester sex?" "Will you do that thing with your horn and my pie?" Queen Vivian asks excitedly, "Does that get your juices flowing the way it does mine?" Honk! Honk! "I see it does!" Queen Vivian squeals with delight. "What is this crap?" Lord Weaselton scoffs, "Is it part of the game? Or is it just some joke? Where'd she get a nightgown? Did she pack a trunk or something?" He's interrupted by a shrill scream. Queen Vivian screams with delight! "I don't know why you juggling your horn and my pie turns me on so much!" Queen Vivian titters with excitement. Honk! Honk! "It could be one of a few things," Lady Eleanor postulates, "It could be a warning that the Queen and Jester are connected. It could be the host just megablocking with the people playing the Jester and the Queen. You know, showing them to make them think something's going to happen to them. Or it could just be Hinckley jokes." "Well, that's absurd!" Lord Weaselton scoffs, "Will there be any indication as to whether or not it's just some joke?" Honk! Honk! Splat! In the morning, everyone was accounted for. "Hey silly frog, shoo!" Meahon Doughal chases the little varmint across the deck, "I thought you were just part of the figurehead. Weird..." Wait, everyone's accounted for? Yup, look. There's Charles Pleasance, Bess Bulton, Polly Altamont, Ruben Castleton, Darberis Gibbon and Meahon Doughal... ...and over here we have Cuthber Neal Memlow, Jane Phoebe Barnell, Fairon Garzi, Shanalon Dairne, Zerard Wolfe and Clemence Blanchfield. That's everyone. "Great!" Someone yells, "Now that role call's over, let's have some breakfast! Clemence!!" Clemence Blanchfield scowls, "Just because I'm wearing an apron doesn't mean I'm your damn cook!" Clemence looks down at her hands. "Oh, oops, I stand corrected," Clemence says, "It appears I've made some sort of cinnamon rolls or something. They smell great! What d'ya know?" ____________________ Day Two has begun. 20. Silly me. I had all the night actions by noon. Way to go everybody! The new day thread will be up in 4.25 hours!
  21. If you haven't sent your Night Actions in yet, please do so. If I get them all, I can have Day Two up in 9.5 hours.
  22. The arguments against both lynching candidates continue all day. The back-and-forth continues as the blue sky turns darker and darker shades of orange. "All I did was make a little observation," Charles Pleasance says, "It was a joke, like everyone was making." "Our jokes were better!" Someone yells. "And all I did was point out that it was just a little observation," Bess Bulton answers, "I think he's innocent, but I'll vote for him to save my megablocks here. Sorry Charles." Fairon Garzi swaps his vote to keep the numbers even. "OK," he says, "I'm not convinced of Bess or Charles's guilt, so I'll change my vote to balance it out and avoid a lynch altogether." "I don't think we should lynch anyone either," Jane Phoebe Barnell and her two sets of goggles agrees, "So, I'll unvote Bess Bulton." "Pardon me," Charles Pleasance interrupts, "I'd like to challenge the math you've used to come to that conclusion." "Oh tee hee," Jane titters, "I'm a silly twit!" Jane revotes and sets the votes even again. "I'm all wiggly," Zerard Wolfe tells the group, "I want to go wear the hay." "What the megabluck are you talking about?" Someone asks. With no conviction, the passengers of the HMS Brutal head off to find some sleeping quarters for the night. Cuthber Neal Memlow wanders aimlessly for a moment. "It's still drafty," he says. As the sun sets, the silver plank appears, but it is not put to use on this night. ____________________ Get your Night Actions in now or I'll punch you in the face! You have 23 hours left at this point so don't waste any time. Thanks!

Please get your night actions in ASAP. If they are not in within 24 hours of this post, they will not be counted. Thank you. A conclusion will be posted shortly.
