  1. Very nice comparison. Great pictures Like almost everybody I prefer prints before stickers for obvious reasons. If you've got 4504 and 10179 I would love to see those in the comparison as well. But I guess if you had them you would have done that already
  2. Hi 4olic, I think we've all had that same problem one time or another. In my case it has been mixing up the black with the dark grey colour. And it happened with putting together 10188, the Death Star; I can tell you that was pretty nasty I can give you only one advice that is: go back in your manual and look for the appropriate parts, and than look at your set if you've used the right parts. Even if you have to go back to page 1.
  3. The Tantive IV is available on S@H. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=416&d=322
  4. Well in the case of backorders you can order it. And most of the times it will be delivered earlier. Now it's just checking and checking again... and again.
  5. @GoN2Broadway The release date for the Tantive IV shifts regularly back and forth. So there's no telling when it will be released untill it's released. Very annoying.
  6. Thanks Rufus for that great review You're indeed lucky (or were smart) to get the set back in those days. It's huge. This set makes me want the new Tantive IV even more. I would love to see some comparison pictures with this USC set ones the new one comes out.
  7. Normally I apply them almost immediatly... so I guess this was the exception to rule. I know there are collectors that dont apply the stickers but their reasons are unknown to me.
  8. Thanks Def and JCC1004. Yes, this is the Millennium Falcon I like the most for obvious reasons. And I think this is the one they should have improved... and they still can... in the future. I know Star_Wars_Rules, my picture was ment to exaggerate in a funny way the fact the cockpit is small Thanks Rufus. There are lots of features that just scream "MOD me" in this set.
  9. Great review with nice clear pictures I think this set looks and feels better than the "improved" motorized version 10178. The legs are longer and the body sleeker, probably because the feet are closer together and miss a toe per foot. I'm still looking for this set, but to get it good quality at a reasonable price is hard. No luck yet. On the other hand because this set is soo tall, it will be hard to store as a whole...
  10. Thanks for your comments. Oops, you're absolutly right - I feel so ashamed right now I think I was making the scene with Han and C-3PO (and R2-D2) when I wrote that down. Red markings? That sounds interesting... show us.
  11. Set name: Millennium Falcon Set number: 4504 Year of release: 2004 Price: USD 99,99 Parts: 985 Minifigures: 5 Here’s my first review. And I @#$% just got beaten to it by Star_Wars_Rules. I wanted to present this as a gift to the review academy. Congratulations with your first anniversary! When I was searching for this review a few weeks ago I was astonished it wasn’t made. I wanted to know if this set was worth buying, being one of the most epic spacecraft from the Star Wars universe and (back than) not in my possession. Than again it was an easy choice to make as Star Wars fan. Instruction front Instruction back Other pages Random page Dreaded Sticker Sheet Lego’s description: This was the second Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon which was released by TLC. It was a big improvement of 7190, which was released in 2000. The review on that can be found here, it’s done by ybeline. Minifigures Since this set displays the Empire Strikes Back it’s logical that Ben Kenobi and Luke are not included, but R2-D2 should have been. Also the C-3PO included is in pearl light gold. Snowtrooper and gun Views: Front Right Back Left Top, open Inside the Millennium Falcon Back Added to this set is the Hoth outfit from Han. Front Special features: Escape pod Side Top Top, inside Boarding ramp Side “This entrance seems to be made for Jawa’s” From inside The ramp doesn’t always open by itself and sometimes needs a hand. As for the design: This quote definitely does count for the 4504, because it is fragile. Some extra plates underneath would make the base of the ship better. Landing gear Also the landing gear comes off easily and isn’t retractable. Top plates The ships top plates “open” when the ship is upside down. Lasercanons Lasercanons, inside Nice feature; minifigure inside to control the lasercanons. There is no lasercanon underneath the Millennium Falcon. Cockpit, closed Cockpit, open The cockpit is a bit small for two minifigures “Erm, you should stop heavy-breathing in my neck” - Han to Chewie Holes There are some holes, like the ones in the latest AT-TE. Secret compartment Hyperdrive Although a big improvement on the old set there is still a lot to make it even better. I’m not counting the USC Millennium Falcon as a set which can be compared to these to sets. If I would than the USC would most definitely win even though it has no interior (which can be modded) and is mend as a display model. Also there’s no secret compartement to hold minifigures or smuggle contraband. Han showing his Millennium Falcon Ratings: Design: 4/5, there are some minor flaws but overall good. Build: 4/5, very enjoyable. Playability: 3/5, fragile so score is average. Minifigures: 4/5, R2 is missing but otherwise good. Price: 4/5, I’m not complaining on the price. Overall: 4/5, a definite buy if you can get it. Hope you enjoyed this review. 4504 Gallery
  12. Nice review. I am doing a review on this one too, but got beaten to it by you. Anyways, now I have to top this... that's challenging.
  13. I'm a collector but most of all a Star Wars Fan, that means that I -at least- open, build and display one of each released set I buy. I have a few doubles that I still keep MISB, but thats really minor. What I dont understand is that people are saying they're not building a set because it would take up much more space than the sealed box. I mean those boxes do take up a lot of space. I remember discussions and complaints in other topics about how the set boxes almost always have few bricks but lots of air, and why TLC releases these "too big" boxes. Maybe someone can explain this?
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks Star_Wars_Rules! I have to agree with the others, reading a topic with links or with deeplinked pictures is a big diffrence. As to your review; I was watching your pictures and saw some personally added features, a.k.a. MODS. I think a review should contain the set as it was released by TLC. That's why it's a review. Of course you could add some other pictures with improvements you made yourself as well, but if you do than explain to us what you changed. Just a thought.
  15. Wow, I love it I'm not into mini or midi-scale sets, but this would fit right in with the midi-minifigure-scale TIE Advanced from the Death Star set. And you've asthonished me with the room it's got inside! And you captured all important details the Millennium Falcon has. So thumbs up
  16. Great MOC Lars I missed out on this MOC, but thanks to KimT's indexing it came to my attention. Cant believe why TLC didnt make this happen in the Endor set. In my opinion all lego AT-ST's should have two seats because that's accurate. At least you showed them it can be done fairly easy and I will definitly use your instruction to adjust mine. So thumbs up for this
  17. Very cool MOC indeed I like the way you made the engine intakes and wings, but I dont recognize the steer/gun parts on the main body. Could have been the upcoming TLC's version of the STAP.
  18. When I read that it just makes me think, How about: Luke Obi-wan R2-D2 C-3PO and two sandtroopers "We dont need to see his identification... These aren't the droids were looking for... you can go about your business... move along"
  19. Welcome to eurobricks mastertrebor12, you can find tutorals here I got this set last year and I'm glad I did back than even though the price was steep it's huge now. For me this set was a must because it contained the two most well known imperial fighters, TIE fighter and TIE advanced x1 from star wars. Together with the X-wing and/or Y-wing it's possible to re-create (part of) the Death Star run from episode IV. So that's a plus.
  20. Very nice MOC Mraz! Looks awesome. I have to agree with ADHO15 on the size of the barrel, it's a bit short in comparison. Also the feet are somewhat to close together. But although yellow isnt my favourite colour, it does seem to be in the reference picture. Reference picture from Wookieepedia
  21. Thanks for the great review I bought and build this set just three weeks ago and think it's a great set. Although it's too fragile to just pick up without a thought, I think they did a great job making it accurate. The set contained a C-3PO with light-yellow hands instead of gold-coloured hands and that just looks like a minifigure is wearing a C-3PO costume. But no problem there; TLC customer service sent me the right one after emailing them.
  22. Thanks for the review! I've gotten this set this weekend but it's still boxed up. This is a set that is most valuable because of the minifigures, but still got some really nice features. The fact that I dont own a A-wing is a nice touch for me and the conference room looks movie accurate. Hahaha you've made my day
  23. der seb, I think you did a great job on turning this into a lego vignette Looking forward to your next vignette. I think it will be very hard to top this one.
  24. Sorry rockinkurt13, but that isnt news anymore Please read before posting to see if you really add something. It's been posted in this topic and most importantly yesterday by KimT in the news topic. Thanks in advance.
  25. Thanks for all the pictures! I'm really looking forward to this set, the price seems fair to me. No disappointment for me. I think it's balancing on both. Looking at the design it seems it cant balance on just one point thats relative far at the back of the Tantive IV in comparison to the weight and length of the front part.
