  1. I say let them have it, they are the mods and a bit variation never hurt anybody, I like it
  2. Because of the just-released TIE Defender set, the next set on my wanted list from the same PC game is: the Assault Gunboat
  3. Great review I'm awaiting eagerly for this set to arrive, together with the other new released sets. The stormtrooper indeed seems to be a bit out of place in this set. And to my knowledge the cockpit doesnt rotate in the games TIE Fighter and X-wing vs TIE Fighter and add-ons. The interior (flight controls) is something TLC should have included in this set and it's ashame they didn't. Other than that: TLC did a great job on this set and I am for one a fan of all star wars based sets, whether it is OT, NT, CW or Expanded Universe. The only exception is the Rogue Shadow. I hope TLC will look at the game it came from once more and also build the Assault Gunboat, but I guess that belongs in another topic. This set is a must buy, but due to its price it will be just one set.
  4. Thats one big pile you've got there. 4 months of work in pieces... But you'll still have to count those bricks to answer part 3
  5. And I think he's right. In the past he has done it before, but adding Shadows did get me to! Btw KimT, you should have added darth as well EDIT: What?! Beaten to it by the Dark Lord KimT himself...
  6. They are available through S&H. You can also order them on various dutch webshops. I havent seen them in the regular stores yet. Edit: added "dutch"
  7. Thanks for the update rockinkurt13 About the mysterious 10212; I hope TLC will put effort in the shuttle itself and give that lots of details. I mean I love the Endor base, but maybe that can be a separate set. I'm afraid if they are combined this will effect the shuttle in a negative way... that said I think they did a great job on the AT-OT and dropship. Cant wait to see the AT-AT either, and to see the diffrence between a hoth and a endor version.
  8. I can understand what you both mean, because your opinion is based on the old USC sets. I think TLC did a great job on making the new USC sets more "minifigure friendly", but maybe they shouldnt be called USC sets. The sets are just like the regular sets but bigger and have more details, and (which comes naturaly) have a higher price. I think you're right, this is his speeder as it appeared in the CW series. Otherwise the set would have been more likely named "Cad Banes starship".
  9. And I guess you're right again; I think it will be a USC minifig scale Imperial Shuttle, like the AT-OT and Tantive IV. As I said in my review of 7264 (link also in my signature) there's plenty to improve.
  10. My guess is that you've got it spot-on. A USC model Imperial Shuttle I think this set will be released around the same time as the AT-OT last year, that would be the end of March. Let's hope will have pictures soon.
  11. I'll have to go with your first option, in my opinion the V-19 wings are the best technic I can think of right now. Although the AT-OT walker pickup mechanisme on the Republic Dropship is awesome aswell.
  12. I agree with Ben Kenobi; please stop price ranting Only two pages ago... And it's great to hear the sets are out there.
  13. Best wishes for 2010 Eurobricks!
  14. One amazing MOC Rook! It dwarves the TLC version. I always wonder how people get the amount of bricks required and room to build/display. I guess this baby has to be broken down like your other creations... to make new creations. Call it the cycle of brick(life) Looking forward to seeing your new ideas come to life.
  15. I disagree, definitly not a flunk and certainly not a disappointment. Two great battlepacks, the just-not battlepacks (speeder and tri-fighter) look good and the ARC looks great too. And the price aside even de TIE Defender is well designed, accurate. I think early june, like this year.
  16. I would say look here for Hopeso009 's version, but he has removed all pictures from his MOCs No worries though, here it is:
  17. The Motorized Walking AT-AT, set 10178 is USC right? And it's still available. I'm not a fan of mini and midi scale, so I hope it will be a system scale. Although a midi scale Star Destroyer sounds interesting tbh.
  18. and wishing everybody on EB a brickhappy 2010
  19. Thanks for the review Cardinal Brick I think the design is really accurate. Back in the days (1994) I loved flying it in the PC game "TIE Fighter" as Maarek Stele... those were the good ol' days Maybe TLC will do an Assault Gunboat next Although the set is a bit pricy it's a no-brainer for me. I love the new helmet.
  20. Thanks for the review KimT The set would look completly naked without them The cockpit pull-down is a nice feature which reminds me of the cockpit of 7656 General Grievous starfighter, 7674 V-19 torrent and 7673 Magna Guard Starfighter cockpits. Shocked, asthonished and than eager! This makes the Anakin minifigure even more special. The alien makes this set special. Although he only appeared in one episode (but that also counts for the Freeco speeder), it's great they added him to a set. Wookieepedia Great set, cant wait to get it.
  21. Thanks for the review TheBrickster Great battlepack, especially because of the AT-AT driver. Minor issue is the back of the helmet, which is half open, I would have rather had a closed one. Imperial officer is a plus too. The two stormtroopers are a nice addition to get a few of those, like in the Echo base "battlepack". True.
  22. Great review KimT Really looking forward to this set, I've got the old model as well and cant wait to compare. The helmets of the pilots are in my opinion the cream of this set. And now the long wait untill the sets are available...
  23. I think this belongs in the 2010 picture and rumour thread because it (mostly) relates to the new sets.
  24. And again I agree with you o wise one. These are preliminaries, so things can change (for the better) Examples: the Wampa, General Grievous' cockpit, smoothness and colour scheme of Palpatines shuttle, Aayla Secura's hair, maybe even removing Anakin and Ahsoka from the CTT.
  25. Great pictures, great find, love the new sets 8089 Hoth Wampa Cave: Luke in Hoth gear! Wampa! Need I say more? 8093 Plo Koon's starfighter: too bad they used the same design again as Anakin's and Ahsoka's Starfighters. I likeDutchRebel's design more. 8095 Grievous Starfighter: The cockpit looks really bad, but the minifigures make up for that. 8096 Palpatine's Shuttle: It looks a bit too bricky as of yet, but still great design. 8097 Slave 1: Looks a lot like the last Slave I, but I think it's still improved and not copied, Boba Fett's helmet does look new and I guess it's not attached to the backpack, cant wait for a closeup of Bossk! 8098 Turbo Tank: Nice wheels! Very interested in the inside, small AT-RT, minifigures Aayla & Cad Bane, very cool. Anakin and Ahsoka again? Too few clones. It looks like we already know everything about 2010... hope TLC will still have some suprises left This made me fell off my chair from laughing and I know what you mean...
