  1. Thanks, Seijitai and Lumix for the TIE Defender pictures I love the new helmet for the TIE pilot Now we need them in quantity, for instance in some battlepacks The TIE Defender's design is really accurate, very well done TLC. But I still think it's pricy for what you get. Minor issue: the cockpit shouldnt be able to move like the one on the B-wing.
  2. Although I'm horrified about the fact you molested two helmets Dutchrebel, I must say you did a good job.
  3. Yes my master Great detailed pictures of the minifigures! Thanks. I like the new helmets a lot. They finally look more like the ones seen in the beginning of episode 3. I think it's a big improvement to the old model. Thanks for giving me credit. As you stated so many times before: people have to learn to read before posting.
  4. More pictures 8083 Zoomed in on the minifigures Great Bren Derlin head and Rebel pilot, looks like new torso's for rebels too. 8084 Zoomed in on the minifigures Love the Imperial officer torso and great AT-AT pilot helmet. 8085 Zoomed in on the minifigures 8086 8087 8088 Zoomed in on the minifigures Sorry it's still blurry. Hope you enjoy them! I surely did...
  5. It could still be Clone Wars, it just hasn't appeared yet in the series. From Wookieepedia It would also mean that the CW Palpatine could be "re-used" in this set. I think we'll just have to wait and see.
  6. Thanks for sharing those clearer pictures Freeco speeder great accurate design, relatively cheap, includes a new alien minifigure. Droid Tri-fighter great set, looks sturdier and more accurate than the old design, again relatively cheap, and with droids. TIE Defender disappointment here, although the design is accurate it's bricky and fragile. most disappointing: price is off-scale for this design. positive: I like the new helmet design. ARC-170 Starfighter Hard to see the difference with the old design. Would have loved an other jedi instead of Kit Fisto, but that's minor. And again: I like the new helmet designs. Keep those pictures coming! Yep, agreed - although I'll have to reconsider buying multiple sets.
  7. Can we please stay on topic... I'm keeping my eyes on this topic to get new information, or to see discussions related to it - not to read about movable droid legs, what sets we love to get or if the R2D2 game is good/bad. These have separate topics or should get them. Sorry, I dont have much time lately and if I do, these just fill a lot of pages which I rather dont want to read. Thanks in advance.
  8. I certainly didnt mean to start a price rant, but give everybody an idea of what to expect based on an "official" source. I assumed everybody knew that European prizes cant be calculated for other parts of the world using a converter, as this has been mentioned lots of times in the appropriate topic. You're welcome and you are right, this company/website sells the new released sets for less than S@H does, although not all of the time. In this case I think they will, just a few euros cheaper. Not sure on this, but you could be right. They had something similar with the Solar Sailor, it stood on the website for a long time prior to release with no price and even after release and has now disappeared.
  9. I'm not sure if this should be posted here, but since it's about the new sets I assumed it does. Here are some prizes from www.2ttoys.nl on the new sets: 8083 Rebel trooper battlepack € 12,00 8084 Snowtrooper battlepack € 12,00 8085 Freeco speeder € 22,00 8086 Droid Tri-Fighter € 22,00 8087 TIE Defender € 41,50 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter € 58,00 These prizes are for Netherlands and Belgium.
  10. Great reviews again, will you continue this for the next season? I think you should
  11. Yes, we were shouted down. Now let's hope we are right for sure.
  12. Great MOC! I can see the resemblance to the ARC-170 and this could be the single-seated, cheaper-to-produce version of it. The canons look very well and I love the landing gear. The bomb compartment is needly closed and easily opened. Also the engines are great. Well done!
  13. Thanks Paanjang16 for finding the picture It seems to me the ARC-170 hasnt really been improved, judging from this picture. Another Kit Fisto in this set is again a missed chance for TLC to give us a new jedi, so my hopes are on the CTT for this. I like the fact they redesigned the clone pilots, the more diversity the better I say! Brickipedia can be altered by anyone and they've got the same sources as we do, so yes, dont believe everything that's posted up. I myself have done some editing there based on information I've read here. Always use your common sense and no picture is no proof. Preliminary picture means the set can still change as well.
  14. Sorry, but I dont see a clone or star wars head piece/helmet in this set
  15. Great job! I love the front section, the back could use the same kind of detail. The basics of the back are already there. Also the "corridor" that connects front and back is slightly bigger towards the end/back. But hey who am I, I didnt build it, so it's really up to you. I already like it.
  16. Haha MF scale It would make an awesome AT-AT if it were truly minifig scale! ...and skyhigh priced. Wishfull thinking No just kidding I agree, no picture means no confirmation even if the source is reliable.
  17. Definitly! The set is huge, build up from lots of movie scenes and it has 25 minifigures And after that comes the 4504 Millennium Falcon. I dont own the 4483 AT-AT (sadly) but it comes in third and my hopes are set on a remake of this one, MF scale. (Sorry KimT ) These make up the most epic lego sets from the OT. 1. 10188 Death Star 2. 4504 Millennium Falcon 3. 4483 AT-AT Number four would be the Rebel Blockade Runner.
  18. The lego pictures of next years sets are still classified, so my guess is that counts aswell for a part of it and it should not be posted. Cant find a reference picture of the CTT (the original) either. Anyone? Does this news come from the same source, xwingyoda?
  19. Yes, that would be a great size! Off topic: any progress made? But if the AT-AT would have the same size as 4483 but better designed (for instance the loose "head") that would make me happy enough. Not for me, midi scale would definitly put me off I still think the market is bigger for minifig scale than for midi scale. So my hopes are on minifig scale.
  20. Wow, these were accurate... Maybe TLC got these ideas reading EB forum, I wouldnt be surprised. As for the AT-AT; Hope the rumours are true. The 4483 was more realistic than the motorized version and deserves an improved remake. No fuzz with snowspeeders etc just the AT-AT and lots of minifigures to keep the set affordable for the wider audience.
  21. You've got a point jansued. When I see others (less skillfull) painting their minifigures, it brings tears to my eyes. But I can understand others making variations according to batallion, personalities, etc. ...only this is done poorly most of the times. I hope TLC will bring more variations (like normal/gunner/scout) or clone characters (like Rex and Cody) in the future. and there are exceptions; in this case, I think this helmet is done nicely This made me laugh Agreed, otherwise everyone would post up their customs and spam the forum.
  22. Thanks for your replies! It's appreciated. I agree 10 minifigures for $50 (and a set) is an excellent deal, and those days are long gone. I hope the printed legs will return, but I doubt that, as they are more expensive to produce. Yes, darthperson there is lots to improve, so I hope the shuttle will be re-released one day. For instance as a minifigure USC set like the Tantive IV, and looking more like the awesome MOCs some of our EB members have made, for instance Cavegod or BaronSat or as yours, Rufus which you not so long ago posted. Those are magnificent.
  23. Set name: Imperial Inspection Set number: 7264 Year of release: 2005 Price: USD 49,99 Parts: 367 Minifigures: 10 Another one on KimT’s wanted list… Here’s my second review. The Imperial shuttle, better known as the Lambda-class T-4a. After I got the 4504 Millennium Falcon I was looking for this review as well and again I was astonished it wasn’t made. Not knowing what exactly to expect I took a chance and got this set anyway. Hope this will help others. Instruction front Instruction back Other pages Random page Dreaded Sticker Sheet NONE INCLUDED!!! All printed. Lego’s description: This was the second Lego Star Wars Imperial Shuttle that was released by TLC. The first being set 7166, which was released in 2001. The review on that can be found here, it’s done by ybeline again. Minifigures This set displays the arrival of the Emperor to oversee the construction on the second Death Star in Episode VI The Return of the Jedi. Because of that it’s obvious Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader are included. They are guarded by two Imperial Guards, these have the red hands instead of black ones. The four (!) stormtroopers included are a definite plus, and they come with printed trousers. And last but not least 2 Imperial Officers, with smile faces… I think TLC missed a chance to add Moff Jerjerrod, I think he would have been more in place as he and Darth Vader were present at the Emperor’s arrival. Also the shuttle doesn’t have a pilot, but I guess the imperial officers are intended to be the pilots just like the flew it in episode VI. Stormtrooper, printed It doesn’t have a black “head”, later models do. Other pictures can be found here (when public) Imperial Inspection Emperor compared to Death Star Emperor “Mmm, you look more menacing that I” Views: Front Right Back Left In flight, open wings More pictures: Inside the shuttle, compartement There is no boarding ramp *tears in my eyes*, this is the alternative: An opening in the back. There isn’t really an inside because it’s too small. Cockpit Cockpit, open Cockpit, piloted by imperial officers Cargo transport Station crane and lasercanons, front Station crane and lasercanons, back After reading the review of 7166 I came to the conclusion this set is an exact copy of the old set, and has in that matter the same flaws. The shuttle is small and therefore doesn’t give you the same feeling as the shuttle in the movies. And because it’s small there is no boarding ramp which I find the most memorable part of the shuttle, especially in the scenes where Darth Vader and later Emperor Palpatine exit the shuttle. And not to forget the scene I tried to picture just before with Luke and Darth Vader, just before the second Death Star is destroyed. The emperor showing his Imperial Shuttle Ratings: Design: 3/5, no real flaws, just small compared to what the size should have been and a remake of the old set. Build: 3/5, all right, nothing special. Playability: 4/5, high swoosh factor and sturdy enough. Minifigures: 4/5, 10 minifigures (!), but a missed chance on Moff Jerjerrod. Price: 4/5, if bought for the original price in 2005 than excellent, but in my case a bit too expensive for what you get. Overall: 4/5, Even though some scores were below 4 I would still give this set a good overall score. I’m really looking forward to next years set 8096 Palpatine’s Shuttle. Although a remake of the Lambda-class T-4a would be in place I hope it will be the Theta-class T-2c shuttle. Hope you enjoyed this review. 7264 Gallery (when public)
  24. Yes, why not? Bret Derlin could be like Captain Antilles in the RBR set. and if he's to random than maybe General Carlist Rieekan.
  25. Thanks for sharing those pictures Lego-Freak Rebel BP - "Tank" is average. Minifigures are ok, but I hope it includes not only rebel troopers, but for instance Bren Derlin. Just a slightly different minifigure. Snowtrooper BP - Simply great! Speeder bike is very good and I especially like the AT-AT Driver and Imperial Officer. They're awesome in a BP. Freeco bike - Design is allright. It looks like we're getting another "Han" in winter outfit. But adding an alien to this set is again superb. Droid Tri-fighter - It looks sturdier than the 7252, but I'm waiting for some clearer pictures to comment this one. and last but not least TIE Defender - I'm in love with this one. This remembers me of the days playing TIE Fighter and X-wing vs TIE Fighter... the good ol' days, when I was young(er)
