Official Product Release - August 24, 2010: Beware evil beings! The Enchanted Forest has a new protector: The Centaur. Whether considered beast or being these unique creatures are both skilled warriors and diviners of magic. Conforming to official standards the Centaur piece allows you to add your own minifig body parts to create your own ancient folk hero. Additional connection points allow for equipment storage or seating for a bold equestrian. Also check out the Recurve Bow - the perfect weapon for your Centaur clan. The unique shape takes physics to the next level by utilizing composite materials and a unique double-rounded shape. The additional curves store more energy than an equivalent straight-limbed bow, potentially giving a greater amount of cast to the arrow. Such a design permits a shorter, compact bow - ideal for traveling through thick forest terrain. Keep an eye out for more great products coming soon! -Omi

Click thumb to enlarge Goro is a fictional character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. He was one of the few original characters, debuting in the first Mortal Kombat arcade game as the sub-boss. This was the first time I tried the four arm modification and I am satisfied with the outcome. I used a dremel to make a second set of holes for arms to pop in (they also move up and down). Reference The ponytail is the new BrickForge ponytail! This figure is part of my new Lego Mortal Kombat project. -Omi

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Omicron replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't know why an egyptian mummy would have pan but it makes a lot more sense for a mommy to have it. Mummy = Mommy in most places -Omi -
For those who are not aware, BrickFair 2010, which held at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA, was this past weekend. BrickForge was there and unveiled some new products, some of which were requested by the fans. Click the thumbs to enlarge photos. These new items were first seen at BrickWorld 2010 and at the time were prototypes. They are now in full production. Most of the new items were only available in tan and dark tan, while other items (like the guitars, drumsticks) were available in several colors (they were only blue and red at BrickWorld). The official list of new products: - Centaur body piece - Mohawk (originally released at BrickWorld) - Flintlock - Musket - Drumstick (originally released at BrickWorld) - Guitar (originally released at BrickWorld) - Backpack - Ranger hat - Shepherd's Crook - Ammo pack - Lamp post - Violin - Tomahawk - Feather plume (not pictured) - Ponytail (not pictured) - Maverick hair (not pictured) And along with new products, new colors were introduced: Trans Medium Blue and the highly requested Pearl Gold. Other recurring BF products were also seen in colors not released on the site, such as the Glow in the Dark Sovereign Sword pictured above. Along with the new BrickForge stuff, there was also the Custom Minifigs - Limited Edition Figures, a joint venture between BrickForge and fellow customizer Shmails. And now for something completely awesome: I cannot say when the new products will be available on the store, but with BrickFair now out of the way and until Armothe recovers, they should be put up very soon. Also look out for the Custom Minifigs website/store soon where you will be able to purchase these one-of-a-kind figs. Enjoy! -Omi

Christo's custom Legos
Omicron replied to NarakuAulonocara's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
He is as legal as Brickforge and Brickarms and other customizers out there -Omi -
That is only partially true. Todd will have the list and will be at the entrance of the store to monitor who goes in and out. We BF staff aren't really in charge of anything and most likely only a few will will help out (all it takes is a few people to tell people to not crow the mall hallway). Basically crowd control. The Lego Store staff have complete control of what goes on in the store. We do not. -Omi

BrickForge S.W.A.T Gear - 7/13/10
Omicron replied to Omicron's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I just copied the lettering from Armothe. :P As long as people know what it is. -Omi -
Vendors that attend the event do sell sets for either high or low prices. Keep in mind these vendors have no affiliation with TLC and pretty much like Bricklink, only in person. -Omi

When crime terrorizes the city and the police cannot stop them, it is time to call for the S.W.A.T Team. Armed with the top of the line gear, these boys will put a stop on the gangsters and crazy people that swarm the place. Due to the popularity of both our UN Helmets and Police Shields we figured y'all would like some BF S.W.A.T gear, which are currently available in our shop. SWAT Helmet SWAT Shield But why stop there? You can also accessorize your SWAT team with the gunbelt, nightstick, and goggles! -Omi

Click to enlarge Rei Kurosawa is the heroine of Fatal Frame III: The Tormented. Prior to the events of the game, Rei lived with her fiancé, Yuu Asou and his friend's sister, Miku Hinasaki in their residence. Miku became Rei's close friend and her assistant and the three lived together peacefully. However, recently, Rei has been struggling with the recent death Yuu Asou; he died as a result of a car accident that occurred whilst Rei was behind the wheel. Blaming herself for his death, Rei slowly shuts herself away from the outside world. The Fatal Frame series just happens to be one of my fave series, however it is overshadowed by my other loves (such as Final Fantasy, Metal Gear and Castlevania). I originally wanted to make the protagonist from the second game of the series (since it is my fave out of the four games), however this didn't go as planned and I made one from the third instead. Nothing special used in the fig, just purism in its simplest forms. Rei Kurosawa fends off a vengeful spirit with the Camera Obscura. Reference pic Enjoy! Also if you ever get the chance to play any of the games, PLEASE DO SO. -Omi

Where to get my hands on the cigars
Omicron replied to tchuk-norst's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Use toe nail or finger nail clippers. Clips it right off in one second. -Omi -
That particular part (along with his disc) were actually painted, or tumbled as KimT pointed out. They are really just tans parts under all that gold. I have the pieces. Kinda screwed yourself over. :\ -Omi

Han Solo's Blaster Flame Gun from Logan's Run :P The common name is the Needler which is what it is called in Halo but to avoid any copyright issues I believe Will calls it the Needle Gun or some variant of that. Anyways I am very envious of your trans blue gunblade! :) -Omi

BrickArms Combat 2010
Omicron replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Was wondering when these will come forth, since the others were already out. The PDW is my absolute fave of the bunch due to it being in the MGS games. :P -Omi -
Most of our gear is now available in Dark Blueish Gray. Previously we announced that (old) Dark Gray would be phasing out and slowly replaced with the newer Dark Blueish Gray to maintain consistency with the official color palette. Enjoy! You may view and purchase them, along with other existing Dark Bluish Gray items, in the store here. -Omi

When Krana were made, some came out harder and some came out softer and more rubbery. It is just the consistency of the crap used to make them. Same goes for the dyes for Lego parts (hence why some are bit lighter in shade or darker than others). This doesn't make them any more special or amazing, in fact you just have a regular Krana. In other words, you do not have a misprint nor is it valuable. -Omi
