Pay no attention to the fig, he isn't the star here. The disc is. Great thing about being a Lego customizor is that if Lego doesn't make it or if you can't acquire the best subsititute, you can always make your own. Well I did just that with the Identity Disc I made since as I said before, I do not own a BrickArms chakram (it is on my wishlist though). Not going into detail on how I made it, since I sometimes like to keep my secrets to myself. And it also glows in the dark. :) -Omi

This the best MOC ever in existence. -Omi

New BrickForge Products/Colors - January 2011
Omicron replied to Omicron's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Armothe has many ideas hidden in his sleeve. I know that Elf ears were requested on the BF forums, and some requests do come into fruition (Centaur anyone?). Just have to wait and see what he has for the future. I can't personally confirm it because I don't know. :P -Omi -
I am proud to announce the launching of a new website: CustomMinifigs.com. Operated by minifig aficionados Shmails and Armothe, CM.com is dedicated to providing enthusiasts tiny likenesses of famous and fictitious characters which highlight Shmails decal designs and Brickforge accessories. Everyone’s favorite construction bricks provide the groundwork for each fig. Then Shmails designs and carefully applies a series of high-caliber waterslide decals bringing each one to life. The decals are sealed using classified techniques then they’re ready to go. Intended for display, not play; their custom figs are best arranged alongside your other collectibles – out of the reach of children and grandpas. Custom accessories from Armothe – under the aegis BrickForge – round out each figure nicely, giving each puny persona something to wear or hold onto. Look for retired parts, special colors or even limited run elements finding their way into the hands of these tiny tykes – making them extra special! There are three different types of figures they are selling. Collectible edition figures include a customized fictitious figure and Brickforge accessories to bring the character to life. Limited edition figures are collectible figures of famous or infamous characters, however they include a small vignette to put the figure into proper context. The third type will be Commemorative sets, which will be larger scenes that include multiple figures and limited edition accessories. In fact, CustomMinifigs.com is going to become the place to find Brickforge Prototype Accessories that will not see production in the forseeable future. Their first round of figures is listed now, and new figures will be listed every week or two, so be sure to check in often. Check in with them on Flickr to see what's new.

The best way to start off the new year is to start it off with new products. Anf that is just how BrickForge rolls, ya dig? While the color palette isn't new to the store, the products they are in are. Released in Dark Bley is the all so coveted Space Marine armor and MegaGun, perfect for your Chief on those urban recons. Released in Dark Green we have the Lamppost, Electric Guitar, Drumsticks, Mohawk, Ponytail, Maverick Hair, and the Double Plume (great for Dragon Knights!) And if you browse the string instruments you will see we have a variety of screen printed Acoustic Guitars and Violins. You can find all these in the store! -Omi

Clearly you never been to a Lego convention. ;) -Omi

With what I did to it, I don't blame ya. :P It took me a good 30 minutes to get what I wanted. -Omi

Due to the positive feedback on my TRON Program fig, I decided to take a stab at another TRON fig, this time basing if off Rinzler, the badass mofo from TRON: Legacy. No special decals or anything, this was some extensive brasso work, as you can see it took quite a lot of the finish from the torso. However it did the job right. -Omi

Well what I wanted was to find a solution for fans of the film who want to make their own fig. Not everyone is good at painting, and not everyone has a BrickArms chakram for an identity disc. I'm the guy that looks at all current options before following through with a custom. :) -Omi

Only thing I have to say is: holy crap that Falcon is huge. -Omi

It's nerdy. It's geeky. It's dorky. Who cares. Not like some jock is gonna beat me up for it. -Omi

How open are you about your Lego passion?
Omicron replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
More "bang" for your buck. That's how I see it. :P -Omi -
Brasso. :) -Omi

The disc is a clikit bead. Legs come from the Alpha Team Deep Freeze, as did the torso. -Omi

Someone asked me if I was able to make a fig from Tron: Legacy. And after seeing everyone make their own, I decided to join the fray with my own version. Everything is completely purist, aside from the modified torso. Borrowed the Identity Disc idea from SirNadroj. Also this is not based on anyone particular from Tron: Legacy or Tron: Evolution. Just a basic program. -Omi

Yeah a friend said I should try using Inkscape. And thanks! If I can do this good in paint, I'm sure inkscape wouldn't be that hard. I do intend on adding other details, and maybe fixing the buckles. -Omi

I been wanting to make decals for awhile, specifically FF decals. I'm still new with it so bear with me on it. Made it in Paint since it is all I have. Based on Lightning's uniform in Final Fantasy XIII. *Note this isn't the finished product. References: Pic 1 Pic 2 Go easy on me, it's my first time. :P -Omi

The new glued Lego magnets can be removed!
Omicron replied to Forresto's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well a dremel is definately not something I'd ever recommend using for removal. -Omi -
The new glued Lego magnets can be removed!
Omicron replied to Forresto's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah those 2 options have a greater chance of wrecking the fig. Especially the dremel. -Omi -
How open are you about your Lego passion?
Omicron replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Your response should have been "Looking at these awesome sets!". Sounds corny, but it shows enthusiasm and that you belong there. Silence just shows how more awkward it is for you to be there. That's me right there, minus the Harley. :P -Omi -
Woops, not sure how I missed that. Most of the time I do give credit where credit is do. So don't think I would claim it as mine. -Omi

That's what I like. You can tell who they are without making it obvious. Also I take it Bree is the white mage, if she is the same woman at on the right of Cinder at the top banner? :D -Omi
-
So far for a good start. Please tell me Jacq is a red mage, because that's awesome. :P I also picked up the subtle references of FF such as the Highwind surname for Aled, who I am assuming is dragoon, and Cloud 9 pub obviously playing off the 7th Heaven bar from FFVII. :P Keep it up. Gives me something interesting to read on this forum. :D -Omi

Here is an example of two figs he made. I also have a few torsos and heads printed by him, as well as his Black Spiderman and Hush (based on his Lego Batman appearence). His quality is superb. -Omi
