  1. Can we get meta and have Lego Movie Lego sets?
  2. Ahem: "Wah Wah Wah. Lego hasn't made a theme precisely like the Lego I had as a child, before my decades spanning gap in playing and buying (only better and much more like I remember it). It is an outrage that Lego is trying 'new' things that appeal to children of all people because ~(insert anecdotal evidence of one child not liking something about Lego that Lego markets towards them)~. I am thus dismissing an entire product line based on a blurry, thumbnail sized preliminary picture that was quite likely stolen from confidential sources and leaked onto the internet." /End Sarcasm
  3. I want to say "Hydronauts" as those visors came along in the second wave of underwater themes I remember from my very-little-only-just-allowed-Lego-System Childhood. I would like a larger picture until I pass judgement beyond: Underwater = Good.
  4. Hate to say this, however, Galidor was all Lego right from the word go... They made it, they had a series made, they sold the toys... The problem when Lego has a plot forced onto it through an existing canon or even more plot than a tiny "idea seed" is that the potential to plot out new models and stories is inhibited.
  5. Sounds like it's Legendary, but until there are pictures one cannot tell. Mythic monsters or normal sea creatres? Marble pillars or glass sea-bases? Oh, I need pictures!
  6. We've been trying to break down gender stereotypes for generations... So far it isn't that successful, there are small steps taken and maybe someday soon construction won't be seen as a boys thing on the whole. I think I said something sociological a few pages back to that effect.
  7. Yep, the Speed Racer fish tank has been in my plans from day one. I have also decided to add a dart board after finding one while browsing bricklink. I made my order last night, a further order of the last two sets I need will be soon (unless our legoland trip in september has any) and then I will pick up mission 8 online or hopefully from the clearance store...
  8. Well. After two re-attempts at submitting my order, I managed to send it through the system. I did have accept that according to Lego, I live in Gwent, it will get delivered because the postcode is fine. I will await confirmation and ring customer services if I don't get an e-mail, as advised.
  9. So, I just placed my large order for most of the new Agents, the SPIII impulses and classic space logo bag on Lego.co.uk. I have entered the checkout, my information is correct. However the Lego website is telling me that I have entered the incorrect address, that the local postal authority says my address is in GWENT (a local county authority that hasn't existed for 13 years) I am unable to navigate away from this page and continue with my order, not to correct it or to accept the "correct" address. Has anyone else had this issue? How do I resolve it?
  10. Well. Those heads look great for D.Zaster guys. I also liked these to replace the levers on the robo-drones as heads. I am looking on eBay.co.uk and they seem to be selling sets for about rrp, but like I said, I'll get them after I have all the others.
  11. They are just adverts... It's not like someone is going to jump out of your computer and march you to a shop to force you to purchase a product... This is what confuses me whenever someone complains about something/someone (Jeremy Clarkson, Radio DJs, Adverts, TV programmes ets) you aren't forced to look at it. At the very least you can avert your eyes... Ho hum
  12. Maybe just a battlepack box of a band? Drummer, Vocals, Guitars, Keyboard(maybe), Keytar(if only...). A figure that looked cool and had the gear.
  13. Well, I guess I was lucky, I came into Lego when Jet, Cam Attaway and Radia were characters in two popular themes. Pippin Reed and the other Adventurer's girls. All action gal's to the last. Then there was a gap. No girls except in town settings. Then we had Hitomi (but no Mecha for her) and now Agents Trace and Swift plus the lovely lady Pirate. So we seem to edging closer to more strong female characters. As for the second point? Never had that problem, I am a MOCer through and through. My head makes a 3D model and I fit the elements into the shape I want, so no issue. Also Bricklink is great for buying Lego parts you need.
  14. Kids are less likely to choke on them. They are more "eye" like. They will be useful for using as beads. The only place that they won't be good is as a cosmetic greebl, but then there is always bricklink for the thousands of the old style ones if this design is permenant.
  15. Well, the other themes sub-forum has the Fabuland builders guild but: Fabuland was a junior version of lego from the 80s, it was sort of a step below system Lego and had some large moulded elements. The theme focused on cute town play and there were a variety of figures. Plenty of the Mods and Admin love Fabuland and have quite the collection, it is a semi-popular subject for MOCing. The Fabuland Builders Guild and Fab Fabuland have plenty more information and MOCs. Hope the links help. I'm a bit of a fabuland newbie, I have two figures but can't quite get a handle on the "style" that it has.
  16. The worst part was that she had friends in the loft, so there were two custom female mecha pilots, Cam Attaway, Jet and two custom Lady Knights using a big pink belleville plate and teacups... I was there trying not to get too Radical Fem. while I made some more suitable figures... She has improved since then (Me playing as Zero Suit Samus on SSB Brawl has influnced her...) but still prefers to have more housey sets and figures. It was very much a Mrs Nesbit moment at the time.
  17. Sounds a whole lot like Fabuland That the sort you are speaking of?
  18. Heh, I was a real tomboy, but I adored having girl minifigs, ok, so they did have more action "costumes" and were more often than not a Pippin Reed head on the latest "most awesome of the week" minifig body. Now I use girl minifigs (See sig-fig) and all my custom factions have a female member. I do get a bit put out by my little sister turning action gals into tea party guests... My little brother also learned that the girls do not need rescuing, nor do they often get captured, when playing with me
  19. Ninja might be possible... After all, there is a big thing for ninja on Lego Universe, proving there is a market for it. Yes Lego has done it before, but that was ten years ago and the kids they sell Lego too these days were: A. Not Born or B. Still playing with Duplo due to their alarming tendancy to put small things in their mouth. I bet Eurobricks has members who were considered too young for system Lego when Ninja was out... Plus the castle factions are getting "stale" Royal Knights are still good, but the non-humans are getting boring. Ninja is the perfect way to revitalise it. I'm would like to see some Atlantic/k pics soon, if it is true.
  20. After much deliberation, I have decided that I shall buy the new Agents 2.0 sets and the only Agents set I do not own. Then if I decide I still need the parts I will purchase a second Mission 8. Suggestions for new goons heads to use on the spare uniforms I will be collecting are most appreciated.
  21. Hello. I would be eternaly grateful if someone could create a head sized decal of a globe/world map. It can be earth, it could be made up. I just really need a MF head scaled world map for my Inferno HQ.
  22. What was wrong with the Vietnam one? Gave me a whole new goal in life (Mainly: Grab myself a Mr Peppermint get a great Land Rover and drive from one end of an interesting country to the other...) I'd love another special to turn up soon. I suppose it's another British thing to go for "budget" features (can't comment on this episode, still in Canadia Land) as there is a recession on you know, hitting the UK quite badly too. Perfect to bounce humour off.
  23. Launched now, apparently More Information. They do look fun
  24. We have no idea what it is, or whether the name should be spelt with a 'c' or a 'k'. However we are a due an underwater theme.
  25. Atlantic has been mentioned earlier, but the discussion seems to have turned to other things. Have you heard any more about it? It's sad that the Indiana Jones lego will be ending, looks like I need to pull my finger out and get the sets I have been putting off. Maybe next years sets are sort of being stuffed behind the Licsenced properties... So we are getting all sorts of new and expensive because-of-the-name-and-trademark-holder but no sign of the real Lego.
