"Ah you are Lord Boomington yes? I heard you just the other evening. I do not know the knights who attacked the tribe, I was just a young one. They looked like the men in the book, but I hear there are false men." Tesni sighed. "I miss the up high, I left months ago, to travel and quest. The village was small even when I was young but I grew up in the cave temple after the raid. The lakes were pretty and the air fresh."
-
Tesni was still sat on the floor, looking at her hand all fingers outstretched. "Now, if I start against the Rangers then it will be the prickle bear all over again and mages often make fireballs, I'm still not allowed in that Tavern in Midish..." Engrosed in thought she hadn't noticed the scuffle was over....

"Ah, Cryfder means Strength in the speak of the ancient high up. This sword was the temple blade in the cave of the mountains power. It was said the gods themselves used it to carve out the lands and was left in the high up to be close to them still." Tesni Lifted the blade with one hand "Only the greatest hightribe warriors could ever wield Cryf, none were able to unlock is full power, or so the priestess said. Now as the last, it is my turn to try. These quests might make it change." Setting the sword down again she smiled. "He is a good blade but I can feel him wanting to be full again."
-
Conversation having lulled Tesni once again started to clean and check Cryf. "A mighty sword needs great care" the priestess had always said and all these new places migh have caused some damage or staining of the blade.

"Ah Jess! I was swimming in the sea. I slept in the hall and needed to freshen. Was your inn good? I think I will sleep in a bed next time I need it!"
-
"The swimming was good, not like the lakes in the high up, warmer here. The sea is good when it isn't snapping at your heels! I did swim daily, seems a good thing to do here too." She glanced around the room "Plenty of new faces since we left."
-
Do I need a bedroll? As a natural Barbarian ability is present that somewhat covers it?
-
Tesni opened the door as widly as it was opened quickly. "AH! Sea Air! It is not quite the mountains but it does freshen the head!" Her hair was still wet from a drenching in the sea. The driyness of her clothes hinted secrets that shall not be shared "Please, bread and small beer? Surely a good snack for a sea swimming barbarian!" Tesni searched the room for her earlier drinking companions.
-
Tesni woke up with a start. The crowds had grown further. "I must go to the sea and freshen up" She strode purposefully from Heroica Hall.
-
Tesni looked at her fellow adventurers talking, she felt like saying something but she didn't have the energy. She slumped in her chair and was soon sleeping.
-
"Ah Jess, you are awake. Sorry to leave you, but a rouge would not be in danger. So many traps and tricks to save them! I had a mighty hunger and the bar was serving."
-
"Yes, the priestess said strength was a path that led to greatness for Cryfyder and his wielder." She turned to the bar and ordered some ale for herself and offered to the others.
-
"Ah, the Norse man, is good you came back here! The ranger had a book of knights. Now I know who took my tribe. But past is past. Soon Hightribe will be known for strength not sadness" Tesni looked to the others. "You smell blood you say Cronk, this is not so good. Lots going on though, might be this evening meat..."
-
Tesni returns the book. "Thank you ranger Docken, I am sorry for the wait, my mind went back. Those are the markings of the knights I saw. I did not know such brutality could come from knights." She turned to the Orc. "You know of a good inn? I am afraid I ran right here and the strenghtrush is waning, I would need to sleep soon."
-
Tesni overheard the conversation, scooping the last of the food from her plate she turned to the Ranger "Crusaders? These are a group I do not know. Do they have colours or pictures for themselves?"

Tesni cannot resist the tempting odour coming from the bar, excusing herself from the seemingly sleeping rouge elf, she makes her way to the bar. "Is that pie I smell lady innkeeper? Might I take a slice?" A plate piled with meat pie, mashed rootveg and rich gravy is slid across. Tesni searches out a table and sits down at one. Unsure of her new tablemates she tucks in to the steaming hot food. "Ah, not had a meal like this since the winterday festival at Middlevillage!"
-
"Ah well, as rangers will fire arrows, the rouge will gather unwatched gold."
-
"Yes, but the milk drinker has no evidence of this crime. I have been talking with the elven rouge and this little boy has now made trouble.Though it seems purses follow her though a room..."
-
Tesni looked up at the brash newcomer. Eric had left and now this young idiot had appeared. Hefting Cryfyndr she looked him in the eye. "You ahve an argument here Lowwelp? My friend here may be a rouge but why do you think she stole your gold? Such brash action will not go ignored"
-
Tesni takes the leg, "Thank you, a mighty hunger is often worked up when you run yes? Racing tide is not something you do high up!"
-
"Well, I ask your lifespan as it has been a long time since we were mighty." Tesni gripped the hilt of her sword. "Cryf and I are the last of it all. We lived high up in the tribe mountains, I do not know what the people here call it. We were the highest tribe and were called Hightribe. We were mighty fighters and also careful farmers. Some years ago, when I was a youngest one, the tribe cheif was strong and mighty but a rockfall killed him on the trails. His useless brother was made cheif. He had tastes for the low kingdom things and would go there often. One day he came hurrying back and the next night a band of armoured men came..." Tesni gripped the hilt harder. "All but me and the priestess died, I could find no one. It had been my chore to take food and wood to the temple and I stayed behind to hear the tales. It rained so I stayed in the temple cave, we heard the noise and watched from the highest place... I was too young, the priestess to old. I went back down in the morning, no one stirred. The priestess said the water was made bad and all the mighty men were spell sleeping. I grew up mighty like all the tribe and when the priestess died I took the sword and it is my quest for Hightribe to be known everywhere and by everyone."
-
"From up high, it means we lived near the top of the mountains, high high up. We would shout across the canyons and vallies within. Echo you see, voices travel far. We were the highest living tribe, far above the others. The sea is certainly low, but not all of the low are bad. The Norse fight the cold as we do, so there is no dishonour." Tesni smiled. It was nice to talk about her home. She turned to the Elf, "You live a long time yes? I have never met an elf before."
-
Tesni pocketed the rag. She turned to her new tablemate. "You are one of the norse men yes? Are you from the high or the low? I think I scared everyone away. Up high we shouted across. It is not long since I left there."
-
In her spot, Tesni carried on watching. There were a few barbarians in the crowd, none from as high as she, there were many knights. Still well shined despite mixing with rangers, rouges and those like herself. They did not alarm her really, but Knights were never friends of the Hightribe. Tesni hoped that those here were different to the ones before... *EDIT: Sandy, 22 not 44 *
