  1. "RRRAAAAArrr!" Tesni was angered by the hit from the spider and screamed defiance "I shall target the undead nobleman from the front row!"
  2. Ok, I checked my Lego book. They made cars in 1958 and they did come in the little clear boxes with studs on top. The original town plan set had cars, trees and people that were not brick compatible.
  3. "Remember we must each target a beast yes? Like we had to in our earlier quest?" Tesni asked of her more experienced fellows "I will Target Spider C from the Front Row" Another battle was most welcome, Tesni hoped this meant many more to come..
  4. Tesni inspected the cave, this one certainly did not look home like at all. "I think that in this case I would be best to battle with a sword." She looked around at the party surrounding her, they all looked capable, even if the cleric was a little nervous.
  5. Thanks for the link, indeed, those are the toy cars LEGO produced at one point. It may have been at the same time as the brick, as I think they may have been in the original town plan (I am away from my Big Lego Book, so I couldn't say for certain. Also, these small cars came in clear cases with Lego studs on the top. Once I get my book (it is at home, heh) I can say for certain.
  6. "Is steak pie!" Tesni replied cheerfully, spraying pastry crumbs. "Pastry and steak!"
  7. Tesni had started on the good ale, and of course the meat pies. She needed to get her strength up for the coming quest.
  8. Looks like I will have to create a MOC index...
  9. Unimpressed with the current displays, Tesni remained at the bar, drinking her small beer (OCC: Small Beer is the nearly no alcohol content beer that they drank back when water was always brown and made you ill!) she was considering switching to the orcish ale...
  10. Please, when a thread hasn't been active since early 2010, resist the urge to post. Wait around the forums, post a little and before you know it you can message the creator of model.
  11. NPC The strange mage known as Finnegan the Sand blue rushes into the library, clutching a leather book to his chest and with a look of excitement on his face. "Byblos! Byblos! I have completed the first part of my book! Creatures and Monsters of the High Kingdoms and Free Islands, Beasts of the Environs Within. I know it is far from complete, but I wish to store it here at the library for the interested to take a look. I will then add to it once heroes return from their quests." He handed the heavy tome over to the librarian and stood back proudly to see the reaction to his masterwork.
  12. Creatures and Monsters of the High Kingdoms and Free Islands, Beasts of the Environs Within You open the front cover of the book, the leather stiff from newness. The internal brass clips holding down the pages are testament to the living nature of this book. A helpful paragraph tells you about the writer of this tome: About the Author Finnegan the Sand Blue is a minor mage interested in the many types of monster encountered by adventuring heroes. He often wanders around the hall listening to the returning questors accounts of battle. You may see him around the Heroica Hall Library or Bar, after a quest has run its course. An Introduction Hail adventurer, scholar and student. This tome contains within a thorough record of the many creatures, benign and dangerous, you will encounter. An indispensible guide for the inhabitants of Eubric and wannabe heroes alike. For the heroic adventurer each creature is pictured and its common abilities and treasures detailed. For Scholars I have included the varied statistics reported to me by the heroic questors who fought against these beasts in the field and students will benefit from all information recorded here. Contents of this Book Aquatic Monsters Beasts Demons Electric Monsters Fiery Monsters Flying Monsters Holy Monsters Humanoid Monsters Icy Monsters Mechanic Monsters Plants Rock Monsters Undead Monsters Vermin The Intriguing Instance of the Transformed Mages Conclusion
  13. Tesni smiled politely. "Aye, she got the letter. I am not sure her reply."
  14. Switch the ghost to glow in the dark with a folded point. A white pointy headgear is not really very tasteful. expecially when it has eye holes.
  15. Tesni heard her friend read the names. "This is good! Once again I get to do a quest!"
  16. Ah, but it is a bootleg, not a clone. Clones are legitimate competitors to LEGO, bootlegs are ripoff who steal the designs and use brand confusion.
  17. "I am from far off and up high. I can not say on a map where, I know I took a lunar to get here. I am of the Hightribe, we lived right up on the mountains."
  18. Hi, while it is nice to see another member more open to varied brick brands, I have to ask for correct spelling and grammar, as Eurobricks is a forum that requires a good posting standard. As this isn't a chat room or instant messaging/texting service, there is plenty of time to type out the words correctly. Anywho, back onto topic: I often find Best Lock leaves a lot to be desired and a lot of the other brands are all generic brick bootlegging some legitimate designs. Cobi is my favourite non-Lego brand, since Mega seems to have switched focus to Halo over their old Dragons line. Cobi has a good price and great quality plus some interesting elements that Lego does not produce. The one good thing about Best Lock is how a while back they shared production with Cobi and used Cobi made parts in their sets. I am not sure how easy it is for you to get Cobi, I use eBay. Another good quality brand is Click Brick here in the UK, their bricks are perfect quality match with Lego bricks and their minifigs are only slightly different (A little stiffer, different prints) and they sell "Swap 'ems" which is a bag with two figures in, something I can get hold of for £3 for three bags (Six figures £3, a bargain!) the sets are a little more awkward to find. You asked abouot K'nex in an earlier thread, I am afraid price wise it's not much better over Lego. Parts wise, there is a significant difference and the mix of K'nex and Brick parts are frustrating to build with. Hope this has been helpful (The Moderator formerly known as Queen of the Clone Brands) -All opinions are my own and are not staff policy, the part about posting standards is forum policy-
  19. A sunken version. Stick it on the seafloor
  20. Tesni sat in her corner. She was debating over going back up to the mountains and exploring some more, or sticking to the town. With a bedroll in her possesion, any number of the sea cliff caves would make a good home between quests. As she thought she watched the comings and goings of the hall.
  21. Now that is a question that matters I know I got at least three into the large shark in Agents...
  22. Tesni had been thinking, unfortunately it was long thought. "Maybe a careful reply would be wise? Thank the person, as it is nice to be admired," Tesni grinned, "then let him down gently?" This was an interesting predicament, Tesni had had some offers herself, but the traditional manner of this was a match and she had always bested the suitors, when she made it known she was to quest the friendlier of the suitors had wished her luck and settled with local girls.
  23. Okay, moderatory stuff: No deeplinked pictures. Follow the links if you want to, if you can't it looks like you are too late to catch them. Other Stuff: Four Main protagonists is a common trope since story telling began, really, someone who uses Anachronism Stew must have come across that one . Maybe in the cartoon we'll see more of the inherent tropes that define these characters. It might even count as a Five Man Band if Nya is more involved. I love how this theme is developing. It is just like Power Rangers, first there is the basic outfit, then they get a slightly better version and finally a super armour mode. (Sells more action figures that way) I watched the more SF series of Power Rangers (Time Force, SPD and RPM) it was the most sci fi thing I could watch at home. I know I will be buying the sets and a handful of spinners.
  24. Tesni took the note and read while taking a good swig of beer, it was intriguing to say the least. Swallowing her beer, she replaced the tankard on the table "You have many of these Jess?"
