  1. Tesni looked at the machine, puzzled. "You sent a group of heroes ahead of us? Can you tell us about them, so we know who we must beat?"
  2. "This should be a good quest yes? Choosing me as leader means it must be mostly bashing monsters!" She looked throught the crowd. "Are most all the team here?"
  3. Returning from training with Hoke, Tesni entered the hall, the new quest recruiting poster had been updated, declaring the chosen heroes. "Party leader?" she said aloud, surprised. "Well, two clerics will be useful also and all faces I know an trust. This is good." She stood back next to the board, awaiting her quest mates.
  4. Ok, so I have to say this: I am loving Young Justice. Right when I first heard of it I was a little cross at the line-up. The comic that launched the whole YJ team was what first really got me into comics after I founnd the TPB. "These guys were not the right characters and that sucks" etc. Of course, finding my self at a loose end one evening I decided to watch the first few episodes and was hooked! A mix of missions with character relationships for the story makes it entertaining, I was never into Teen Drama! mostly because there is only so much pouty privileged teens I can put up with, the whole comic book dimension in YJ keeps me interested. Plenty of really cool cameos from the entire DCU and an established timeline that is agreeable to me. The DCU presented in this cartoon is in fact what the DCnU should be! Oh well, can't wait for next weeks episode!
  5. Smother it in oil. No really, it works. Lots and lots of it, any kind you are comfortable to use (considering price/smell etc) just fill a small cup/bowl/pot with oil and place the stuck parts in, after a few minutes take it out and wipe with an absorbant cloth all the parts you need to grip (but not the stuck area and the part that is the path you plan to pull it through)and it should slide off no problem. This worked with the 2x2 dishes with holes in that I got stuck on flagpoles and lightsaber blades. I should work in other cases to.
  6. Historical accuracy was never the aim. I am loving the new torso prints and armour, the headwraps are really clever too. This wave is one I am really looking forward to.
  7. I have a pile of Best Lock figures spare I am going to have to question my friend on the dates she plans for her wedding, I kinda can't miss the wedding of two of my friends (Incidentaly, they were friends with me seperately before a party put both groups together and I introduced them...) so I will be going on about these dates being my holiday...
  8. "Ok then, I have to warn you, I have been doing sword drill since I could lift the training staff!"
  9. "Of course, I am sure there is a training hall somewhere..."
  10. Yes, by Friday afternoon. I devour books. As for the hardback/paperback. I like both. Hardback for new books as I can read them right away without waiting months on end for the paperback edition. I love old paperbacks, I have a coat that can fit a standard penguin paperback in all three pockets so I often buy Pan or Orbital books of SF. I collected only Hardbacks for one series of books, even going so far as buying the Canadian edition when the UK was paperback only and the US covers don't match... Today I was reading JLA: The Nail, a classic.
  11. The hall had quietened down, some had left to prepare for quests and others had gone to wherever they frequented. Tesni sat down on a vacated bench and pulled out her sword cleaning cloth, Cysgodion and Cryfder would need a good polish. She carefully cleaned of Cryf, an easier task after the storage chant had made it much smaller, and placed it in her bag once more, it clicked and clunked against the vails and bottles. Focusing now on Cysgodion, her new blade, one to be proud of, she let the light play along its length. Shining the curved edges and working along the hilt. The pommel stone gleamed a deep purple as she buffed it carefully. "Surely a fine weapon," Tesni muttered to her self, tracing the engraving at the crosshilt and leaning the sword against the bench next to her. 'I wonder how my friends fare in their long ranging quests..."
  12. Now that the rouge had left, Tesni turned to Alexis. "Yes, it is very quite here, I envy those out on quests. I hope to be selected for this next one."
  13. Tesni shrugged, "Not much between quests. We shop, explore, go to the library, there is drinking and a little joking." She pointed out the quest board "And we watch that all the time!"
  14. Tesni descended from the rafters. Having signed her name for a quest, she had become bored and had decided to explore the hall. There had been lots of interesting climbing involved. Living in a large town was nearly as fun as the twisting caves and high peaks of the tribe mountains. "Have I missed much?" she said to the genral assembly of adventurers at the bar.
  15. That was a frustrating battle until I got the Darkness Sword, man how I wish we had turned the other way in the first place
  16. Yes, I started at level 1 in the Harvest Time Quest. Although I did indeed progress to Level 2 after a not so hard battle with Pumpkins and some tree dwelling creatures, we then faced a fraught battle with increasing Direwolves at level 3. All in all, I was level 6 by my second quest but I still started my first battle at level 1.
  17. Battle Order is not positioning, it is orders to attack, it made more sense for my much stronger Barbarian to make the first attack, I could wipe out the enemy with a Fury or Extra Critical hit, saving my weaker teammates from damage. Clerics are always last to act in the hopes of a Miracle healing all damage after what could be a very painful round.
  18. That is a visor from Life on Mars connected to the CMF Hockey player helmet. I just love how SciFi it looks I can't wait for the CMF series 7 space marine for his armour, these ladies need more equipment!

  20. Indeed, Barbarians fearlessly jump into the fray from the front row!
  21. It could be a one off incident. If you are ordering from overseas, there is any number of places that could have happened. Right out of the warehouse, maybe even on it's way to the shipping overseas point. Within the overseas sending warehouse, on the way to your country, at the customs of your country, in the sorting office of the national mail/ courie's national base, on the way to your area distrobution centre, on the way to the courier who takes it to your door. Unless you personally took it off them, it could have even happened in your home! One bad experience and declaring "Never again!" seems a bit OTT. Even when it is the first.
  22. If you strike out the bootleggers and check the index you'll see the full list of those reviewed too.
  23. Guys! Calm down, some of you should know better than to mindlessly argue a point, just walk away and leave it! I believe there is a flowchart somewhere out there that can help... MrZ, if the company you purchased from was indeed Amazon.whatever and the Export Service is merely a way of sending after you bought from an out of territory portal (I did this to get the Canadian hardcover edition of a book in a series I collect, the UK realease was paperback and the US cover didn't match... Yes I am also a book nerd) then you are within your right to request a replacement. If as Shadows suggested it was a seller working through Amazon you should still be able to send it back and get a new one unless they stipulated otherwise when you purchased it. Whatever happens both the courier(s) and the Company will have insurance to cover the costs. Everyone else. The matter is now solved, please don't make this a mud slinging contest.
  24. No one I know is young enough for Duplo, but if that is t he Mega ones, I have a few of the smallest sets. They are quite cute.
  25. No idea, their terms and conditions might have something about it.
