  1. It's okay to share a link in your thread, but I have edited the title. I hope you have a good time on the forums.
  2. You came back after months just for this? I really wonder what your contribution to the community here is. Unfortunately, the time elapsed since your purchase has probably invalidated any consumer protection there was.
  3. That really does look more like a modified item for display somewhere. It is very cool and a neat thing to have.
  4. I can't remember when I made this. It was a long long time ago in the late 90s when we had our first digital camera in the family. I checked with my dad and he informed me that we had a PC (with digital camera) before 1999. So this has to be at least 26 years old.
  5. You would have hated me back in the day I had a mission to review as many weird brands as I could.
  6. The Technic Sub forum may have a solution that others can share, it may have a thread covering that exact subject.
  7. I would enjoy a Harry Cane figure. However I have also been happy to create my own updated figures. I have also used other parts to make different eras/generations of characters.
  8. The arctic train has a new Johnny Thunder figure. I really hope the parts get added to PaB online
  9. Hoooo, I shall bring a bottle opener, never be without!
  10. Sounds like someone has made a Deathstar 2...
  11. I was going to go shopping (I need many iced coffees. Also beers...) after I arrived while we waited for the others to come in for evening meal.
  12. Too much needed membership and a lot was lost with Flash ending. I recall my early days Lego.com time and it is sadly long lost content. Alas, it wasn't thought of as important or impactful at the time, so much media fell by the wayside. Also, I would love to play that old Bionicle game from the first wave of sets, if anyone could hook me up?
  13. Figuring out the design language of them was the hardest part. LEGO introduced a whole new thing with these little racers! Fortunately, I love watching the Red Bull soapbox races so I had a few ideas to start off with.
  14. Does the chalet require us to bring any bed covers/sheets? I've not stayed at Lalandia before
  15. Built mine, just have to hope it runs well
  16. If you don't want to reveal too much in public, drop me a message and I can help.
  17. Oh for sure. I am certain people have used LEGO to jazz up a D&D game since well before the Heroica sub-theme existed and creating a CMF series and set embraces that combination of hobbies.
  18. Ah man, I loved that mini-series. I know a lot of Star Wars lore, even if I am not a fan, so I love parody (Robot Chicken Star Wars is top tier) and there was enough LEGO humour and parody to make it a fun comedy sci-fi. I just hope a few more sets at a few more price points could appear (I did get Jedi Bob's starfighter). This kind of hybridisation embraces what LEGO is and also what the source is, so it hits just the right spot of familiar media property and LEGO goodness.
  19. I agree. Or themes should take a sub-heading type of role, so the "Banner/Title" is City/Ninjago/Friends and the theme is whatever the set portrays. The same way that LEGO.com lists by interest if you want or need to search that way.
  20. From the album: Stuff

  21. Videyo was something I found to be truly creative. Weird, but creative. Unusual characters, a variety of settings lots of interesting colours. Very enjoyable to me, as I love weird and wonderful minifig parts to create vibrant worlds. Playing "Music Band" was something of a game for my siblings and I when we were children : Marching band plushies, pop group fashion dolls, even a rock band from the Bionicle generation 1 figures we had and some system built instruments. We would play music from the radio or tape and mime the toys. Of course, I was not into using the app or following the play pattern that was planned for the sets. I was well out of demographic!
  22. Is anyone interested in keeping this going? Once upon a time this might have ended pages ago, but engagement is engagement.
  23. I have used a lot of star wars figure parts in various ways. Rebel gear fits Adventurers easily, with a touch of Dieselpunk. First Order/Imperial forces can be quickly repurposed into troops. Sith are handy for dark wizards, scheming advisors and the other usual shady bunch. Even trooper figures/mandos can be remixed in to less Star Wars with a few accessories or a little fig bash. As for the Dreamzzz figure? Yeah not for castle, but citizen of LEGO city? Yes. She could be easily placed in any town, modular or city location without standing out. Or as a Ninjago civilian. Switch the head for a robot or alien? SF character. I don't think the toy can be blamed for lack of creativity...
