  1. Tesni winked and blew a kiss after Namyrra. Noticing Haldor's rummaging she chuckled. "I'd be careful there friend, I think the imp would have your hand off!" Turning to the ogre Tesni made a sign of greeting. "Well met Skrall, we could have done with your skills in that tower but someone had to face Wren." She paused a moment. "How did it all turn out friends?"
  2. It's Nerf or nuffin!
  3. "Cronk? Oh yes the orc paladin." Tesni shrugged. "I'm not going to tootle tunes about the place anyway. I am sure the others will have their plans and trades to make." Shuffling through the loot pile again Tesni checked for other items she might want.
  4. Ok, I need to get the "Doomed" effect put onto Cysgodion... Someone help me with that right?
  5. "What say you, after doling out the stuff we want, maybe drawing lots on the rest? 'twould be fair to leave things in the hands of fate."
  6. "Cheer up Tarn, Cinnia." Tesni grinned. "We'll train up and get back out there to oust some more of those bandits. Just you wait!"
  7. It was an interesting idea and we berserkers got one major reward from it all, an effective shield roll! I am glad Tesni and Tarn managed to illustrate why War Cry is great unless you roll it in succession! On to stuffs: - I felt a little at disadvantage because of the loss of my job trait. Now, it may just be my personal strategy and method of play, but when my character has regenerating health I do not see reasons to purchase a potion. The ones I had were drops I kept hold of because they are useful for other party members... The loss of that trait without warning was hard to work with. -I know this genre well, the tower battle is a classic of many an anime, manga and game but even the most intense have space to patch up and heal. I do realise we probably broke our chance of healing (the spring right?) through poor communication. The one time it would have been good if you weren't so quick to act! -My next issue was level progression. Yes, it would have probably worked out as unfair if we won our XP after every skirmish instead of every six enemies but it was sometimes a little vexing to beat a group of high level or tough enemies and still need to wait for an increase. However: I appreciate we were the lab-rats here, if the lessons learned are applied then I really want to go back and fight some more. The enemies were awesome and what I could gather of the story was good. It jsut took us all a long time.
  8. Tesni took the tankard greatefully, something to hold other than a weapon in the tense moment. "So Wren is gone... There was no way to save her?" Shaking her head she drained the drink swiftly in salute to the dead. "Aye Hoke, 'twas a battle unlike any other I have been in, and I have fought all out war." Recaling a moment she paused and turned to Cinnia. "Friend, you can keep the gem I loaned, I have no need for it." "Hybros, I would also like some saleables and have a good friend who would be quite interested in the Bow." She looked around the hall and noticed the eyes on the great pile of loot. "Or we could run open market here eh?" A server walked past and she reached out for another tankard. It was good to be back in the hall.
  9. Tesni stood at the table with Hybros, the stack of loot gleaming. "The Fiery Sawblade and the ruby would be great for me."
  10. "I'll see you in the hall friends." Tesni turned to the Ji Pei matriarch. "I am sorry for the failure," she bowed neatly. "If a chance to return and defeat the bandits I will take it up." With that she left.
  11. I would maybe return to the tower. If there is a chance, to rescue Jun.
  12. Tesni glared at the man, "You heard the imp, he fought with us and we were together until we fell."
  13. Well darn. Looks like I've got my first failed quest.
  14. "Ah foxshite. No one thought to collar the warrior boy?" Tesni groaned and rolled back onto her feet.
  15. Tesni looked to Cinnia. "End of the line friend. We attack!"
  16. Can we keep on topic? This is castle not chima and you have bee warned about this. But for the record: Kids sometimes need cliche (which, due to their limited experience is not cliche to them) and they will still play how they like once they have the toys.
  17. Tesni held her fiery sawblade aloft. "For Glory hey?" Setting her sights once more on Ten Feet of Blue. "Show me what yah got."
  18. "Stupid Ice..." Tesni grumbled on being revived. Tesni moves down to the tea room
  19. ooooh.... The Runaway Train went down the track and she blew... I want that train and the stagecoach. Oh, and the cavalry builder. Too bad about the delay on UK release.
  20. I'd love to go but there is too much going on around that date for me to attend! Maybe I can make it next year.
  21. Hmm, merch... Let's see how that goes.
  22. Well, nice firm plywood allows easier moving around of segments of the layout. If you build it all on the table you'll have a difficult time re-arranging things or changing MOCs if it is particularly big. Another thing to keep in mind with any big layout: The clutch on studs as bricks and plates are joined is only micrometers in a small MOC but the larger the area the bigger the loss, I can't recall the exact ratio but it is certainly a couple of studs over a meter. If you are worried about the surface being un-even, use large sheets of flexible "padding" like flexi-foam or certain types of sheeting used in insulation. It allows a malleable layer between baseplates and table with enough give to let them settle evenly.
