That's really impressive. You have studs on all sides from what I see, yet the MOC appears studless. This is pretty much what Legostein does with his Star Wars minis. If the pieces fit together, use them, because they look good! Keep on building!

Nice job! It looks just like the real thing! I love all of these new mini versions of larger sets people are making. I like all of your techniques. Is the orange plate on top one of those clippy things? Otherwise I don't see how it would attach.

It won't be New Year until tonight in America, but happy New Year anyway!

REVIEW : 8075 Neptune Carrier
Darth Legolas replied to daoudbazaar's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
On the mini Neptune Carrier from brickmaster, the wing thingies are huge... I find it rather off scale to this, but it's still a nice little set. Thanks for the review! This is probably the 30th review now to note the new 3-stud-studless plate and the 1X1 brick with a stud on the side! Nice review! -
I kind of like when Lego adds wheels to hover tanks, those these are kind of... really thick and noticeable. Probably a whole centimeter in width! The wheels for the giant TX-130 were thinner than those! I still love this set. I remember when I went off about a half year ago on how the exclusive ComiCon set had no Episode 3 troopers. In a sense that was true, but right now Lego's remaking all of these old Episode 3 sets CW style. It's nice to see a new Phase II trooper, though I am saddened that it's not a new closed-visor helmet. But I love my Phase II's the way they are. Now I know that the subject's long overrunning, but can't we all agree that if these are Clone Wars sets with-non Clone eyes and Non-CW ships, there is a very, very thin line between these being CW and PT? Lego made it officially CW, but they still are all PT style.

Very interesting. I really like this one: Looks almost as if it could be a real set. Could you provide a little more information? How did you come about this? Thanks!

What do you mean? Those are just speculations on supposed sets. We don't know the scale of the AT-AT, and, on the contrary Klaus-Dieter, I'd have to say that from my perspective, the 10- sets are much more likely to be UCS. In fact, what was the last non 10- UCS? I believe your theory is flawed, with the only evidence that the set number would mean a world-wide set, but usually UCS's are exclusive too. Though I'd have to agree with you, the AT-AT could quite possible be UCS, considering the last two were system scaled, although the 2007 one isn't quite accurate or exactly system scaled. Maybe a redesign of a non-motorized set, but that's the only other possibility.

So, have you ever been waiting and have your entire life devoted to one set... that's shipping in the mail? I have patience, but I really like tracking orders that are important to me, especially ones over $150! I'm shaking right now, because it's been 3 days and USPS hasn't updated their notifications on my shipping status at all! How annoying! So I'm blowing over my waiting free time by building random things and modifying other sets. I think I did quite a good job modifying my new ARC, with new detail, and better cockpits. So while I'm waiting to build, I build some more. What do you do while your prize possession is in the unknown?

Revisiting old topics (Bumping)
Darth Legolas replied to Tom_castlefan's topic in Forum Information and Help
Looks like someone is about to learn that lesson the hard way... 2005! I think we should only revive topics if the discussion is still relevant, unlike current events in the community forum that have long since blown over. -
I'm pretty sure this is the first GOOD Venator MOC to have any interior at all. And a lot of interior at that! I love the different rooms! What a great project! I'm jealous of the Obi Starfighter there... I'll get one soon enough though.

Why does everyone keep saying that? The Theta Shuttle pictures were in the first batch of all of the summer pics we've seen. They're everywhere! Here's a link: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/langille/2010/new_2010.jpg

No, he was already hideously disfigured at this point. He should be the same fig as Death Star Palpy. He lost his flesh tone during his fight with Mace Windu. That was more than a half hour before the fight between Vader and Obi Wan. The ship Lego's made is pretty accurate.

I forget if they had legs in the Bridge Walker or not. I would go check except my set was destroyed in a terrible accident... I don't like to go in to details but it involved the end of all of my Exo-Force sets, as well as half of my old video cabinet.

I remember! I got that set a few years a go and was devastated that he had no legs, clearly depicted on the box. Since I got it pretty quickly after it came out, they were able to send me replacement legs. TLG learned their lesson though. In the mobile devastator, they provided legs for the two silver captains even though they had to take them off, so the legs could be moved into a corner area of the ship. I guess they changed the later versions because they probably received hundreds or more complaints.

KimT, Bricklink officially lists the ARC and Tri-Fighter as ROTS sets. We'll just have to wait to see what Lego opens up on their site. I honestly think that ROTS is a separate line though.
-
Welcome! These are nice MOCs and great minifigs! I love the detail! You seem to know a lot of good MOCing techniques.
-
I was just inspired to make my own. 3 can fit in the old try droid now. I'll post pictures later. All you need are the Buzz Droid domes, a pair of binoculars, two gray minifig hands, and a pneumatic 3 way connector.

Searching for Obi-Wan's starfighter
Darth Legolas replied to Darth Legolas's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Sorry! I did this when I was really tired last night, first post fixed. -
Obviously these two will be exclusives, right? The AT-AT probably won't be Midi-scale, because the thing doesn't have enough detail to look good smaller. The Midi-scale star destroyer came out of nowhere, but clearly there are more than one sources pointing towards it. Since it's probably ESB, I wonder if there's a feature to drop Probe Droid Pods? Maybe a micro-scale MF to stick on the back too? But that's all a dream. So I guess this narrows it down from being 3 to two, because Imp Venators would be completely set back in the timeline. P.S. Rex, you got ripped off. P.S.S. Am I on your watch list too, KimT? Happy Holidays!

From the Ultimate Space Battle. I can't find any good deals on just the fighter. Buying only, no box or instructions needed. I can figure out how to build it myself. All I need is the fighter and instructions. Set#-7283

I'll sign, but it looks to me as Lego is bringing it back anyway. There are already pictures of the board game: here! Looks like a lot of building going on in there. I think there really is no need to petition when all evidence points towards the theme coming back anyway.
-
Amazing! I love the decorations and what a clever idea! So many minis! That's great! It's got to win for sure!
-
Okay, you got me there. It was still a borad/imaginary term by some sort. If you read the article it says the phrase was made to mask the true class of the Destroyer. So the Executor was reveled not to be "super class." But I guess you are right, it can be used to describe any giant Destroyer. On topic, I'd assume we'll still have to get one of those three destroyers.
-
Welcome to EB! A great introduction MOC and nice choice of name. Tihs could easily fit right in to the modular town. You could go introduce yourself in the Hello, My Name is forum: here! I love the detailing with the gray bricks here and there.
-
False. The executor was an Executor-Class Dreadnought. Super Class is an unofficial term, and I've never really heard it used before. But aside from all of that, there are no Lego Victory Class destroyers, and we only have 3 options for the midi-scale set -Executor -Imperial Class -Venator Class I highly doubt Lego would make any other Star Destroyer.
